I would love Hazard to torment the Solent Buttner and his new contract.

    Teach our supporters a lesson.

Not looking forward to it tbh. We all know Chelsea are going to have most of the players if not all of it . Hopefully we do a number on them.

Are you serioulsly predicting Utd to win 1-0. Have you seen us play this season. Reminds me of Mark Lawrenon on the BBC prediction table always saying Liverpool would win even when they were s*it.
How dare he be optimistic and claim his football team will win. Shame!

    Fred - Pogba

    Alexis - Mata - Rashford

feck it, might as well just attack. Nobody expects us to win, and Jose knows he needs a big win, so just go for it. I've always wanted to see Mata in his natural position for us, lets see what he's made of there on his old ground. Bailly by default, as Jones vs. Hazard is a no-go & Lindelof can't deal with the aerial threat of Giroud or Morata. If Alexis or Lukaku are having one of their 'donkey days' replace with Martial ASAP.

    What is Rashford doing there

If we lose, does Jose lose his job? I bet that prick McDonnell who predicted we'd be managerless REGARDLESS of the result would love that, so he could claim some kind of hollow victory.
I doubt Jose will be going anywhere, anytime soon.
Top 4 is his target and while he can mathematically achieve this, he'll stay.
Contrary to what this forum would have us believe, Jose is a top class manager and to replace him would be extremely difficult. With this in mind, Woodward will give Jose every opportunity to achieve his target of top 4.
I for one, hope that Jose gets some heavy financial backing next Summer and that we win the league title.

We could use players like Pogba, Perreira, McT, Fred, to defend. Absolutely no need to attack.
It'll be interesting what happens here. Will Jose revert to defensive football, aiming for a 1-0 win or will he think that defensive football will see us lose, so let's just attack and see what happens. The fans won't give him a hard time for losing here, providing we score goals. But if we end up losing without scoring and playing defensively, Jose will have to deal with a backlash.

You don't think he will go if we lose the big games coming soon? What if even top 4 becomes out of reach?

There is nothing to suggest we can beat them at Stamford Bridge on this occasion. Our record there has been very poor and we are in terrible form, don't think we beat them there since we won the league. I think what gives us a glimmer of hope is that it's an early kickoff, the international break stops momentum and over confidence. Everybody expects them to win, reverse just of the FA Cup final, so you could be surprised. I still doubt it because we leak goals, even though we have the quality to score. Knowing the unpredictability of the club, United could get something. I think Chelsea will win it unfortunately and this is the start of a tough week.

I'm curious who's turn it is to get the blame from Jose tomorrow.

Going off the 18 that have travelled, I'm guessing this
    De Gea
    Bailly Smalling Lindelof
    Young Herrera Matic Shaw
    Pogba
    Lukaku Rashford

Bench: Romero, Darmian, Rojo, Pereira, Fred, Mata, Martial

Sanchez could join up with the team they reckon, he had a late return, he played early Wednesday morning in Mexico. Wouldn't surprise me if he was left out all together.

No Valencia is interesting, he usually travel with squad. He may join later, like Sanchez. Wouldn't surprise me if Valencia is out.
    Valencia is out of favour.

He didn't play against Newcastle before the break.

Jones seems out of favour as well and Lingard's injury seems strange however he didn't play for England either.

Fellaini, McTominay and Dalot were injured on national duty.

Had to share some of these hilarious posts from The Shed End forum. It's got to be as bad as Blue Moon and RAWK. More than half the posts still refer to us as Manure. FFS. You'd think it was a Youtube comment section, not an establish football forum.

They've won 3 PL games at the bridge in 20 years and one of them was a con job by Clattenburg where Torres was wrongfully sent off.

Jose and this Utd squad dont have a player that can stop Hazard in the mood hes in, last year, an out of sorts Hazard tore them to bits at Wembley, this Hazard is considerably more dangerous and in form and lets face, that game where Herrera shut him down was a once off from the little Spanish c**t, I hate Herrera more than any current Utd player as he acts the hard man, kicking players around the pitch but as soon as hes touched, he goes down like hes been shot.
Remarkable really, especially given that their 3-2 win under Clattenburg included an unjust sending off (Torres for diving when it actually should have been Evans getting a second yellow) and an offside winner from Hernandez.

I don't want to be 'that guy' but they didn't deserve that victory, they were gifted it from the joke of a ref that is Clattenburg.
That sh*t went as designed.......it was fergi's last season........no way they would allow anything other than 3pts against a title rival. No such thing such as the ref bottled it.......3 huge calls went for them that had direct effect on the game.....it went as intended.
indeed, that game was a complete fix!! it took me a fair while to recover from the injustice of that game, and the amazing thing was how obvious it was
Most def my friend..........its just one of hundreds of sh*t we have seen through the Fergie years. How can you go through the Fergie years and not think this sh*t stinks? As soon as he got Knighted it was almost game over, a freemason as well.......managing utd, the so called cash cow of epl, when the head chief of FA comes out and says we need utd in top 4, we need utd winning and going far, then alarm bells should ring. Jose instantly said he was not surprised by these comments.......he knew. Make no mistake utd still get alot of good sh*t their way......but not shocked its no where near under Fergie. He had them by the balls, refs included.
watching this France vs Germany match & must say, Kante is papering over the cracks of Pogba's game
FA fcuking us up to favor their media darlings (sh*tty and bin dippers) again ... NO REASON WHATSOEVER TO JUSTIFY THE EARLY KICKOFF ON SATURDAY !!! Could have played the game at 5:30 pm on saturday or even on sunday ! I've had enough of their antics with calendar etc... I really dread that game massively !! If we get a draw, we will be VERY lucky imo. Mourniho will play his absolute WORST bus tactics ever : expect a 80/20 possession for us, overdominance à la spain vs england and we will be done by 3 sihtty counter attacks by manure and lose 2-3 or 1-2 at the end of the game. Plus a pen denied for us (although we had better fortune this season with this kind of decisions, I believe with manure we'll be robbed by ref calls as it used to be the case the last two seasons). We might get a draw if manure are absymal upfront. But I really expect a bogey result à la West Ham vs Chelsea.

With Dalot out I think Young will get the nod over Valencia at RB and given Rashford played both England games and Sanchez returned late I think both will be on the bench, which could mean a start for Mata as I'm not sure what is going on with Lingard at the moment.

The midfield is hard to predict, Mourinho has hinted at Ander being involved, Matic has a knock but isn't ruled out and Fellaini is apparently fine, where as Fred seems to be behind all of them for a start.

I expect us to park the bus and lose comfortably, we like to stand off teams and let them play which is what Chelsea want and I don’t think we are good enough defensively to stop them.

If Fellaini is fit long balls and set pieces could be our best way of getting anything from the game.

If it's any consolation to you guys I'm hearing Rudiger is out. He's been our best centre back this season.

That leaves the door open for Christensen or Cahill. I suspect it will be a Christensen/Luiz pairing.
Okay, so Rüdiger out. That’s 9 out of 11 so. Who gets the nod out of Kovavic / Barkley and Giroud / Morata in a big game?

Latest update on Rudiger is that he's fit, according to Sarri. Think we'll see Kovacic, Giroud & Pedro starting as well, so the XI would be:

    --------------------Kepa---------------------
    Azpilicueta----Rudiger-----Luiz------Alonso
    -----------------Jorginho---------------------
    ----------Kante-----------Kovacic-----------
    Pedro-------------Giroud-------------Hazard

Bench: Caballero, Willian, Zappacosta, Christensen, Barkley, Fabregas, Morata

Not a lot of optimism in this thread. Same for me. I just can't see anything besides a Chelsea win here. I would take a point right now.
I can just see Hazard having a field day against our defence. 2-0 or 3-1 to Chelsea doesn't seem unreasonable. :(

Sarri was asking in the pre-match conference if he thinks Chelsea play better football than under Mourinho. He said "I don't know. We are talking about a coach who has won everywhere. I have to respect him but I also think you all have to respect him".

I translate that to mean "yes but it's a dickish question and I'm not going to give you the answer you want".

LVG and Moyes only got fired only when they mathematically failed to get top 4.
Jose is an elite level manager, who has won 2 trophies for us and Woodward knows this. If anything, Woodward is likely to go easy on Jose, compared to Moyes/LVG.

I really hope he's got a plan to protect the car crash of a defence we seem to have (although it is the same as last seasons decent defence), becasue if a team like Newcastle could easily have scored four + past you in one half then you know something is wrong, so fingers crossed he has remembered how to set a team up in games like this or we'll be embarrassed.
