We've been the better team and should win this. You wouldn't think so with all the incessant whining on here though.

Bizarre decision making again from Rashford, box is full of United players and the ref is just waiting to blow the whistle, so he holds on to the ball and tries to go past two Chelsea players instead of just going for the cross right before half-time. Need to slap some sense into him

Not too bad a performance. Think one goal will be enough. It will come down to a mistake. De Gea nearly caught out already.

How many Chelsea fouls have been waved off because of playing-on? Daniel James will be going home in a stretcher tonight given the ref's incompetence.

Worried we will be tired in the 2nd half and Chelsea have better options and pace on the bench.

That's a standard, typical top 6 game, these days. Tight, cagey...and absolutely dull as feck. The odd game here and there can be good, but on the whole, they're boring.

They've got more game changers on the bench. So Tuchel would be quite content with the way things are going at the moment.

That’s a penalty, stone wall, unnatural position, movement towards the ball, he can see the ball at all times.

It literally ticks every box in the rule book for a handball, the replay only highlights that, no idea why this absolute clown didn’t agree.

Bruno invisible. Greenwood class when he has the ball but will he ever learn to impose himself on the match more? He needs to start influencing games with the talent he has, otherwise it's just a waste of it. He's so young still and hopefully it will come. Chelsea really good and hard working in defense.

Been an alright match for a 0-0, seen plenty of dire ones recently.

Not sure why the commentators are suggesting the handball incident is a 50/50 decision, I’m equally not sure why they say that was an equal half. We were clearly the better team even if chances have been few and far between. James needs to come off though, he’s getting bullied out there.
I know. It's 100% a penalty. We've been done. Can't believe Tyler refused to say it was a pen, and then Neville just sat there and went along with it being a 50/50.

The lack of technical ability on the right side is hurting us big time. McTominay, James and AWB are very ineffective there and turning it into a bit of slogfest with Chelsea players.

A decent and even contest. United could and would be leading with another ref as I believe VAR was giving that penalty.

How could that not be a penalty, he handled the ball at shoulder height, that’s not a natural position of the hands at all.

On the other hand, I’m glad it wasn’t given, if we are to win this game we need to create chances and play better.

Need to be right on our game at start of second half. it may just be a dream, but I feel we always concede early in second half at SB. We aren't playing well enough to come from behind today

Chelsea started very well, great passing football but created very little - We bossed the last 20 minutes of that half, just need to keep at it and a chance will come. Great high pressing, dont see that often.

Tuchel has this Chelsea side organised and difficult to break down. He's also not stupid enough to allow us to play on the counter as much as we'd like.

Both sides are set up not to lose. A single goal wins this game.

Chelsea are quite dirty, aren't they? Refs letting lots of late little niggly challenges go.

Obvious penalty not given to boot. We're at least playing positively, despite not creating much. Giroud's missed diving header aside, Chelsea aren't interested in playing. Frustrating half.

    Dig up stupid!
Sluggish start but we're in control by the end.

We look the better side, need to make sure we press on a win it and not let it drift into another bore draw

Historically, his job isn't to have an opinion to be fair. He's the play by play.
Come one though. He was asked a simple question. Have an opinion for once in your life. It won't kill you. I've never liked him. He drones on about the most inane shite

It happens every game, could be another example of us not being streetwise as we always seem to want to play on. Teams stop the cynical fouls when the refs keep giving freekicks

They suck. But they make less mistakes, so we suck more. We could DESTROY them if we had in-form Pogba and Cavani in this team right now.
Even if this was bad from both teams, I think we edged it. They are afraid of us !

I really want to say something positive so... clean sheet for the first half eh? Something needs to change drastically in the second half in our all round game.

Dull game. Our style against big teams is too safe and stifles the creativity that we already struggle with.

Fred and McTominay hurt our scoring chances as well when together.

AWB having a mare on the ball.

I quite enjoyed that. I like the hustle, the pressing. I feel we finished well on top, we just need a little more composure when we're on it, we'll find a pass eventually. James is not getting the breaks but he's pressing like a lunatic, forcing mistakes. What do people think we'd be getting from Martial?

Hmm not sure how to feel like that. Think we have been the better side and fairly decent but have basically created nothing. Missing a focal point up front which we always seem to do when greenwood plays there, if we had cavani we would have the option of crossing the ball rather than just passing it back from wide positions

They have two players marking Bruno. They're also doubling up on Shaw. That's our two biggest chance creators out of the game

Second half changes is where we could slip, if Chelsea decide to put an extra player through the middle we will have difficulty. We lack real options on the bench. We seeing why a winger is more important than a striker, its the small details that count.

Someone please go back to 41:25 of the match and watch Dan James, watch the complete trip that the ref sees because he’s going to blow the whistle....how is it not a yellow?
