I would consider starting Pereira or Lingard if they didn't play 120 minutes tonight.
So was Smalling and he played every game this season. They would have no problem fitness-wise starting this one, they were far from being burnt out especially Lingard who's not really a youngster anymore.

I would play Young at LB.This is the type of games that we need to put our focus on scoring goals.

This is so fecking over the top.

    Rooney though I agree.
It IS over the top regarding Fellaini but right now Depay is steadily getting worse. At the start of the season he kept getting into good positions, beating his men etc., his decision making and finishing often let him down but there was ample reason to think he would improve.

Now he's getting the basics wrong and looks more and more clueless every time he plays. I can't blame people who don't want to see him in the team.

    -------------- De Gea
    Darmian - Smalling - Jones - Rojo
    --- Schneiderlin - Schweinsteiger
    Mata ------- Herrera ------- Young
    -------------- Martial

    Would never happen, of course.
Would have blind over one of Jones or rojo but you've nailed it besides that.

I wonder how much longer LVG will persist with his stubbornness with Rooney.

He gave someone a look last night after Rooney's miss reminiscent to the one he gave giggs after Chicharito missed his at Brugge.

I hope this means it was the last straw.

    Anyways,

    DDG
    Valencia Smalling Jones Rojo
    Schneiderlin Bastian
    Mata Herrera Young
    Martial

after last night, we need some serious action being taken with the selection of the team. Van Gaal needs to earn his money here. Rooney, Carrick and Memphis should be no where near the team.

How are people going to feel if they are and Palace beat us?. They need a win as their form lately has been poor. They are going to be up for this I feel.

But Pereira hasn't played in a while then to play 120 minutes where he was visibly struggling with cramp towards the end of the match then start vs Palace? Yeah not too sure about that one. Smalling will probably be knackered but we can't rest him now. Young should be the freshest after he came on around the 65th minute mark I think.

Plus nah I would start Rojo at LB. We're away vs a decent side with tricky wingers. I wouldn't be starting Young at left-back for this.

At least Palace are quite an entertaining side, so we can rely on them for a bit of excitement! I really don't know what to expect from this, could be last night all over again, could be an Everton performance. I don't wish to jump on the bandwagon, but it would be so beneficial to see Rooney dropped and Martial up front. Like most, can't see that happening, unfortunately.

I think Palace will come out and go for us, which will suit the way we play. If they sit back and try to defend I don't think defensively they will be good enough, especially if Martial can isolate Hangeland.

I am pretty confident we will win the midfield battle, we just need to make sure we close the flanks off well and not let Zaha/Bolasie get 1v1 against the fullbacks.

    Very tough place to go.

Really hope we drop Rooney and bring in Young. Never thought I'd ever say that.

    Please this

    ------------------- DDG
    Darmian - Smalling - Jones - Rojo
    ------- ----- BFS - Morgan
    -------- Mata ----- Herrera ------ Young
    ------------------ Martial

    That is a decent side.

We know CP will come at us, they are a very high pressing side. We need to be quick on the ball and need to move. Hate it when our wingers just stand still on the byline.

I feel for the people leaving Rooney out of the side. I die inside everytime I tick the box next to his name.

Lingard deserves the start more than Depay IMO. Depay has done nothing to suggest we should not let our homegrown talents have a crack.

Get a grip. We are two points from the top of the table.
Haha...yeah, I know...I was just on a bit of a pisser. Although I do think 3 points this weekend would be a big deal after two matches worth of futility.

    Why's this a 3pm kickoff? It's a big game!

Anyone know any pubs in Manchester that'll be showing it? I think I read somewhere that the courtyard shows United 3pm's?

They'll be a few players who played the other night involved but ultimately, it will be a very different team, with a different focus.

Merson has predicted a 1-1 draw for us. Does he ever predict anything other than draw for us.

I put us down for a defeat so even if we play boringly and win I'll be happy.

    I think we'll play:

    ------------------De Gea
    Valencia--Smalling--Jones--Rojo
    ---------Herrera---------BFS
    -Mata-----------Rooney-------Young
    ------------------Martial

He won't want to drop Rooney just yet, but Martial centrally will happen from now on.

Very sure we will set-up like this:

    De Gea
    Darmian-Smalling-Jones-Rojo
    Schneiderlin
    Mata-Herrera-Rooney-Young
    Martial

Why has Blind suddenly been emitted from everyones starting lineups? Have I missed something.

I thought he has performed great so far this season.

I am not sure about others but Blind seems to have fallen out of favour with LvG as Smalling Jones are doing decently and Rojo is doing good at LB.

Or LvG wants to take revenge on the Blind family for crashing out of Euros :lol::lol::lol:

Ye, I suppose it's until Jones or Rojo has a bag game. I'm a bag of nervous every time Jones touches the ball though.

So no Memphis, Valencia, Wilson, McNair and (obviously) Shaw. Just thinking back to last season where half our first team was injured, we've really improved in that department.
