I wonder if Mourinho will fall to the temptation of playing Fellaini in this game.

We need some continuity in the team so I'd stick with most of the players who played the West Ham game. Mata would be unlucky to miss out but honestly, Carrick needs to start playing league games and it'd give us a great option from the bench should we need it.

Rooney is suspended for this isn't he

Not a real miss IMO. Can't remember how many good games he's had against his old club

This game can't come quickly enough for me, a good positive result and a strong December will really change things very quickly for us.

Pains me not selecting Mata. But it being away to a solid team, we need that midfield, and of the front 3, who can you drop? Possibly Martial, but he provides that pace and cutting edge.
Definitely the team to go for. If it was a home game, there could be an argument for swapping Carrick for Mata and having Herrera deeper.

Sadly going to miss this game, but let's hope we don't come up against another inspired goalkeeping display from a keeper in a team that's struggling. We've seen that with Burnley, Stoke and West Ham already.

So, do we keep the same team and hope for the same energetic performance, or do we go for a 3 man midfield and and bring Pogba in instead of Rooney.

Feel bad leaving Mata out but Martial and Mkhi deserve to start, feels great to have some GOOD attacking options once again.

Going to be a tough match. Not confident. Away from home against a good team.
We have a terrible away record, so maybe a draw, I guess.
Whatever the result, I think this will be a very close game.

Didn't this lot need a 90th minute goal to draw with Swansea at home two weeks ago?

Also only 1 win in their last 9 games.
An Evertonian I know thinks we'll win easily as they are "dogshit". I don't think he's confident.

Everton are game raisers. Koeman loves these kind of games. Could be one of those days.

So we need to keep Martial and Mhiky in the team, while trying to put in both Pogba and Mata ideally.

    Pogba Carrick*
    Mata
    Mhiky Zlatan Martial

Alternatively, which is most likely, have Mata as a sub and keep Herrera in there behind Pogba.

You forgot to mention Stekelenburg turning into Big Pete for this game stopping everything.

I never knew that Everton were so bad.
Though lets not forget, we drew against Stoke, at OT, when they were bottom of the league.
The truth is that we are very inconsistent. 1 day we score 4 goals. 3 days later we struggle to score 1.

I felt the same with regards to playing West Ham in the league after thumped Feyenoord in the Europa league.
Hope its not a case of Deja vu again.
This is a tougher game as well, in theory, Goodison is a furnace. I'm just hopeful Jose is settling on his team and our forward players have found some goal-scoring form.

I'm sure someone ridiculously described out run of league games as fairlyeasy.

Not sure when Everton away and Tottenham at home were ever "easy".

For the moment, none of our games are easy, I'd say. The last thing we can afford is that kind of complacency. However, a good performance + result would do wonders as it would point to a belief in a sustained improvement.

Looks like a tough away fixture on paper, but am feeling surprisingly confident about this one. Hope Mkhitaryan starts and Mourinho says "feck it" and unleashes an attacking lineup. This could be the PL match where it all finally comes together.

As it's a tricky away game I'd be replacing Rooney with Pogba and letting the Carrick, Pogba, Herrera trio run this game.

If we were at home I'd be playing Mata too but I think it's more important to be solid at the weekend and to let Zlatan, Miki and Martial win us the game.

    In the house!
Toffees are very static in the middle with Jagielka, Barry and Williams. For that reason alone, Mkhitaryan should play in the 10 role.

I was also reminded how Martial obliterated Coleman last time. This is exactly the opponent he would want to carry his newfound form.

One of these two should definitely start.
