This could genuinely be any score.

We could win 4-1, or 1-0, or they could smash us by 3 or 4...

    So I'll go boring 0-0.

The one thing you can guarantee about Ole's team is them performing when the shit hits the fan.

We'll win this one with relative ease, looking like world-beaters in the process.
Initial thoughts were we're getting nothing out of this.

But you're right just when it looks like everything's fallen apart and Ole is about to get sacked we generally put a run together. Which I am glad about because I want Ole to stay in his job - but it's so frustrating that the players can be so hot and cold.

Our defence/intelligence is garbage. Need to go 5 at the back until we have some suitable wide players.

The aim will be to set up to get a point and if we nick a goal then great, so it'll be back to the dog soldiers in midfield, in fact I think 10 of the 11 are easy to predict, the right side of attack could be any from Mason/Mata/James/VdB.

OLE will go mega defensive on this one, back 3 with 2 holding mids, the usual SUSPECTS further up the pitch...as he scared to drop Rashy and Bruno who for me were woeful last night.Wouldnt be surprised if TFM and Dan James are both starting too.

That said if it was me, i would make huge changes and drop players who didnt turn up last night and let the club down. Show some of these arrogant players that they are not invicible.

    de gea

    williams lindelof axel maguire telles

    fred mcT VDB

    Greenwood Martial

subs- bruno rashford pogba cavani AWB Shaw hendo

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

maguire would be dropped too for his abject passionless performance but we need someone to compete with calvert lewin aerially.

Scary thing is we could kick off this game in maybe even 16th place if Brighton beat Burnley tomorrow night

Didn't the shit hit the fan after Arsenal?

There were splatters after the Arsenal game, sure, but nothing compared to last night. To call it 'caked' would not be an overstatement.

We may need a new fan?

Don't worry guys, we're going to win this by 3-0 and then it's "Ole is the right manager" song again... until the next shit performance hits. Then another top performance. Shit. Top. Shit. Repeat. It's like an endless cycle.

    Martial
    Rashford -- Bruno -- Greenwood
    Fred -- McTominay
    Shaw -- Maguire -- Lindelof -- Wan-Bissaka

I think Digne and James will return for them. Richarlison is still suspended, so they might have to go for a Christmas tree approach. They could always give Simms his debut, but that's unlikely. He would give Lindelöf a headache if they did. Strong young man. Very rough.

They could always opt to play Delph for more security in midfield than what Gomes brings. If they sit in against us, we are fecked. If they attack, we can exploit their defence.

What does everybody think of this team? On paper it would address some of our issues with breaking down teams sitting deep against us with a genuine threat in the box plus better delivery from the right through Rashford. Could also play Greenwood and drop Martial.

    DDG
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    McTominay - Fred
    Rashford - Fernandes - Martial
    Cavani
Interesting. Is Coleman out for this one too? If so, it would be a good gamble to send Martial on the left as Everton don't really seem to have a proper replacement there. The triangle between two players with good off the ball movement (Cavani & Bruno) and Rashford could also work, if we have actually practised any decent plays that involve Rash on the right and Cavani as anything more than an "i don't know what to do, so i'll just throw the veteran striker in" sub. Just putting them there won't solve anything, especially against an Ancelotti side. Another thing is that, on that right side with Lindelof, McT and AWB, the ball would need a miracle to reach the aforementioned trio. But i would like to watch the battle on (our) left side with us applying pressure with Martial on their defence and with Everton pushing the issue with James while Fred and Doucouret fight for every second ball and possession in the middle of the park. That would make a nice tactical battle.

Jonjoe Kenny had a pretty good loan at Schalke last season. He will probably be Coleman's long term successor.

Think he will play a back 5 if telles is fit. Moving forward for me the first choice midfield 3 has to be matic Fred and Bruno. 2 of Fred matic and mcT must play at all times. Pogba Beek and McT are second choice midfield 3 and think that would be what I would do moving forward having a first choice midfield and second choice midfield to allow for cohesion and resting players

This will be a comfortable loss of 2:0.
They will score early and then in 2nd half

If you know him and think he's good, i'll take your word for it. I'm saying it based on their games vs the Saints and Newcastle in which Godfrey and Kenny had lots of problems.
I don't like Godfrey at RB at all. Don't know why Carlo has played him there. Maybe he doesn't fancy Kenny who has mainly been confined to games in The League Cup so far. But he did do very well last season in Germany. All things considered, as Schalke were terrible under David Wagner.

Everton are basically a side who can't carry injuries. A solid starting XI, but a lack of depth. We would probably be humiliated if up against the early season Everton who were flying without suspensions and injuries.

We’ll be very conservative imo. It will not be gung ho and we aren’t going to leave spaces at the back for them to run in behind.

Totally missed Digne getting that ban reduced. That's annoying.

Still, they have Richarlison and Coleman out, and Rodriguez probably won't be 100% even if he's in.

Don't see us winning this one. Everton will be rested and chomping at the bit (aka pressing like mad men) after having lost their last two. They also have James back and Ancellotti is no fool. 1-0 Everton. Hope i'm wrong bigly.

Really difficult to see how we get anything from this game given our rest period.

I do feel we will score though.

    2-1 Everton.

It's going to go either one of two ways,

They absolutely play us off the park and win 3-0 and the media will go wild ...or we absolutely hammer them and win 4-0 , don't see this being a dreary draw, my head says Everton will win this because we are fecking abysmal right now but heart feels Ole always seems to pull a big win off in these moments, when his job is seemingly on the line.

Either way, i ain't watching and putting myself through the emotional rollercoaster, luckily moving apartments that day so too busy! :D

    If we win - great
If we lose - Ole probably gets sacked

A draw feels like the worst outcome here as enough of our deluded Stockholm syndrome fan base will call it a “good away point” & we’ll stick with him & prolong the suffering.

As some have said this is just the sort of game Ole will pull something out of the bag, unless he really has lost the dressing room. If we do then that is a worry in itself as why do we need to be in trouble to go on any sort of a run.

I know Everton have had two disappointing results after a great start, but I fear for us in this game. I think Ole may lose his job if we fail to win, or maybe even if we do. It's a bit of a perfect storm with Poch having been back on Sky Sports and an international break next week. It will be much easier for him to have time to settle in at Old Trafford and give him the chance to start strong with home games against West Brom & Istanbul. Doom and gloom ahead I'm afraid and Ole will be sacked. I expect us to lose this game and have a very difficult climb again this season:

Feel a win will keep Ole stumbling along and just delay the enevitable. Win, lose or draw it's time to say thanks and move on.

Who next though is the question.

Not that we can afford to do it but I think it’ll be similar to the Chelsea game - not many risks taken and both teams cancelling each other out, 0-0 or 1-0 either way with a scrappy goal.

    Hopefully I’m wrong.

2-0 home win, DCL and a Digne free kick.

United with 10 attempts and two on target, OGS to make attacking subs on the hour at 1-0 down.

Pogba to have a million touches.

I had no reason to believe this other than the past repeating itself, but we're going to spank them 3-1 and we'll all be creaming over it.
