It's the hope that kills you.
    This.

I had already made up my piece with our 0-2 loss, then came the goal which gave hope but ultimately we git nothing and that sting a but more.

Why can't Rooney do more of that?
He gets the ball. Turns to the goal and kicks the ball very hard into the net.
If he can do that more often, I'd definitely have him in our team.
The defenders in the league do not give so much time to a player. This might work against such opponents but the league is a different level i think.

The last five minutes is how we should have played most of the second half.

Only thing that could make this worse is hearing how long Pogba is out for.

Absolute dogshite would be a massive understatement about this "performance". Spineless, amateurish and downright embarrassing.

Can't remember a worst game, to be honest. The cnuts should just feck off.

Mourinho has not had any effect on this team yet. He clearly must lack self-confidence as it is also a glaring weakness in the team, and has been for some time.
not having this, we are playing much much better football, had absolutely no luck in the last 5-6 games.
Burnely keeper has a worldie then 2 of the best goals you'll see all season, one a fluke shinner.

The players will be on zero confidence on top of that now

We just seem to stumble from one disaster to another, regardless of the manager, formation or players we select.

I'm embarrassed. Simple as that. This was as bad as the Chelsea game, and it kind of feels like this time it was for lack of effort.

I'd like to see the runnings statistics from this game. And from the period after when we got that statistic that put us bottom of the table for km/game. Something tells me we increased quite a bit in the time since then. Today however, there were basically NO initiatives ahead of the ball. Everyone was watching the man with the ball, no movement into spaces (and there were plenty to exploit). Wonder how many passes were to players with their back to goal.

Not looking forward to giving the player ratings now...

Basically our transfer strategy for the next few years needs to be focused on youth and getting rid of the old blood at the club.
no are transfer policy needs to be on brining in 2 players in their prime, around 26-28, we have young players we have old players we have no here and now players, maybe pog but he is still "young"

    This.

I would also add we look tired physically and mentally. We are playing too many matches and the players are missing that extra 5%.

I wouldnt be betting on beating Swansea as well. We look too tired.

I dont htink we were that bad, in the first half I was confident of winning, we played some nice moves and looked a matter of time for me. Then Zlatan came on and decided we should play walking football, then mata came on and had his worst ever game for us

Oh it's down to luck then? 8 wins from 42 for Jose now.

Not sure how good we were, considering we had 1 shot on goal until around the 80th minute. And not that many after that neither.

Its down to a little more obv but mostly for me yes that and Zlatan being a spaz in front of goal, Jose has done his part, the players (zlatan) are letting him down.
If you cant see the massive improvement from last year this is a pointless discussion

It can´t believe some are useing the bad luck excuse... sorry but you don´t play this bad because of bad luck. They simply don´t put in the effort needed to get results and improved form don´t happen without at least fighting hard on the pitch. We have a large group of spoiled brats at the moment and it is infuriating to watch.

werent as bad as the chelsea game, they got a spawny goal then defended and dived their way to the final whistle.
They dived to get the freekick for the 2nd, not sure what we can do about that. Pogba then takes an impact injury, this isnt on Jose

My point is that belief and confidence alone would transform this team - something you would fully expect a manager like Jose to bring with him. He has not done that.

To be critical of Jose i would have rested Paul Pogba and played a 4-3-3 and just held out for a draw. Ok, they get a poxy goal after two minutes or something, but Pogba needs a rest.

We spanked burnely and stoke and were unlucky, that first goal was unlucky, the dive that got them the 2nd was unlucky, pogba taking an impact injury was unlucky, we need to do better in front of goal but we dont have any rub of the green.

Haven't followed your discussion, so forgive me if i reply "out of order".

Was just caught by the improvement from last year part. I totally agree, in our best moments we look MUCH better than last year, and though many would disagree since we didn't score, the Burnley game was a good example of that. We should have trashed them 5-0. The problem though is that we are so incredibly variable. One shit game (Chelsea) followed by a tactically great game(Pool), just to have a great game against Burnley and then this tonight against Fenerbache.

I just think the players are VERY fragile at the moment, so things like conceding an early goal seems a huge obstacle to the players. The players have the tools. Its just up to Mourinho to make them believe. I would have thought that was one of his strong suits, he has yet to prove it with us imo.
