What makes it worse is that we've just been dealt another average International tournament. Sick to death of them.
They are annoying. Might work for us a little bit for the Derby though as the south American teams are playing on the Tuesday before, so will be travelling on the Wednesday and only have two days prep for the game. (With jetlag)

Aguero/Zabaletta/Otamendi could all be a bit jaded.

There's no reason to change the lineup unless we're 3-0 up at half time or something ridiculous like that then we can give some players some game time. But I would like to see Mkhi getting a start. I'd hate to see him bugger off after a year.

Hull play a 3-5-2 don't they? Using the width is going to be important for this one. I hope we use either Lingard/Mhki on the right.

the midfield battle is going to be key. Livermore+Huddlestone is a pretty powerful midfield, our own Poglani is going to have to get a good foothold on the game. If we can get the ball into Zlatan I can see him making mince meat out of their defence.
would be similar to Southampton who played with a diamond. keep it compact and hit them on the break out wide

    If I could choose:

If we're comfortable in the game, swap Blind for Smalling at around 60. If not, swap for Mata/Mhiki late on and try to defend our lead in a similar way to the Southampton game.

Yeah I'd go along with that. Rooney ain't gonna get benched though.

Rui Faria is really underrated as a fitness coach to be fair. Hardly gets the credit, but his fitness training reduces the number of injuries massively.

Hull's last game system was clearly a 4-3-3.

I genuinely can't remember when I actually looked forward to our next game like I am for the Hull game. I haven't missed a match for a while now but many times over the last three seasons I've found my self zoning out and messing on my phone as the games have been tedious to watch, even the ones we won.

Even the FA cup final I wasn't as exited as I am for Hull away in the premiership! There was a "we are going to get bent over" vibe to almost every game last season and as much as I love dwatching us there was always the sense of this is going to be awful.

This season though I just cannot wait. I'm not saying I'm happy with the last few seasons but this seasons sure as shit going to be so much sweeter for the crap we've been through!

Who'd have thought three seasons ago when buzzkill Moyes aspired to be like City, that we'd now have arguably the best Midfielder in the world, a striker who's "past it" who's already bagged a few goals, Jose in the dugout and more importantly in my opinion we've kept arguably the best goalkeeper in the world on our books after it looking a dead cert he was off to Madrid.

Sure we'll have a few ups and downs this season and it won't be plain sailing but what we can guarantee is that we will attack, we will score goals and we will be entertained, win, lose or draw.

    Lighten up. Of course not.
no I'm not angry, nor do I have a problem recognising a joke or such. It's just sometimes I genuinely feel some people on here believe I'm jinxing something, was just wondering if you were one of them. was gonna pick your brain

For once I hope we keep possession as Hull have only used 12 different players and are going to start the same players again. Granted it's early in the season and they won't be very fatigued, I still feel if we had them chasing we will score a few.
    0-3 Zlatan x2, Martial

They might be, it will be their 3rd game in a week, as they have to travel to Exeter tonight.
Yep hoping we can control the game and work them side to side might be a boring match if we don't score early but we will eventually break them down

I reckon it will be the same starter as against Southampton except mata might be benched for mkhitaryan so we are stronger in set-plays

It's been a long time since I truly looked forward to a game.

Zlatan will go down as our best signing ever, all things considered

That is virtually impossible, even if he does give us 2-3 high quality seasons, which is the most we can possibly expect.

Tickets have arrived, sat with the home fans in the upper west stand. Win lose or draw I'll be happy, that counts for both sides.

    1-0 United, Martial the scorer.

    Unchanged squad.

I have a bad feeling about that game. Looks like I'm still not cured from the last 3 season syndrome
    Hehehe.

Mate, we have Pogba. Ibra. With Jose as manager. Galactico class players with Galactico class manager.
No longer do we need to fear the likes of Hull, Stoke, Bournemouth, Norwich, etc.
    We'll crush Hull!!!!

Smalling to push Blind out even though he has been excellent, Bailly-Smalling my bet, Fellaini will start and IMO deserves to, hes been nothing short of brilliant.

Can see Mata starting ahead of Mykhi, I think this line-up has been decided for the first few games, then int break and then hell begin changing things up once the players have hit the magical 33 training sessions mark.

Some players still need to be wiped of LVGitis.

However sobering 2-0 loss, Bailly with his first red of the season.

Jose won't split a winning team, especially the solid understanding between Blind and Bailly while we're on a run of straight wins.

Smalling isn't even ready to start. He came on for the last couple of minutes against Southampton.

Zero chance Zlatan is rested. 7 days between Southampton and Hull and then an International break after Hull, which Zlatan has retired from international football
    Indeed.
Jose will play our strongest team. So, this will include Ibrahimovic. And also I doubt Smalling will appear for us anytime soon, unless one of our CBs need to be rested or get injured.
Jose will persist with the first team he is currently playing with.
Much to annoyance of some fans, that will include Fellaini.

    Re: Martial
He needs games. The more games the better. So, Martial will be a guaranteed starter.

IMO, he will start with exactly the same team which started our last game. We won that 2-0, so there is no reason to make any changes.

No major problem with it. But I think JM will want to give a few others minutes.
Generally speaking Jose tends not to do this.
If others like Smalling, Miki, are given minutes, this will happen as a substitute appearance.
When it comes to starting a game, he will play his strongest team, which has played well thus far.
LVG would've been making changes left, right and centre (and we'd probably lose to Hull), but Jose, likes to keep with the same core of players who are delivering great results.

Still hasn't sunk in just how lucky we are to have Zlatan and Pogba in our team, they're imperious. Micky and Bailly aren't bad either, good times ahead lads.

Hope we don't get those outbursts we have read about :)
    LOL.
I am desperate for those outbursts, though I'd like them to happen at some of our big games, to add drama and excitement.
In all seriousness, I am expecting plenty of drama this season, especially at the Arsenal, LFC and MCFC games.

so long as they don't cost us a fine or sending off of the staff or summat.

Something may be brewing v City..my gut feel :)

A lot of people are superstitious. This is a fact.
And I am sure there are plenty of people who believe in jinxing score lines.
There are even some sports people who wear the same underwear, as they have done, when they previously won matches/games, etc.
Some sports people have a pre-match ritual which they abide by, claiming that when they follow this ritual, they win.

    Superstition is real.
