Zlatan and Martial to be rested (on bench).
    .
Zero chance Zlatan is rested. 7 days between Southampton and Hull and then an International break after Hull, which Zlatan has retired from international football

Let's play the big guns for this game. We need to show here that United are back and we won't let any team doing a second Leicester. Hull are doing well so far but we really need to put them in bed as City's and Chelsea are doing.

Just hope that all our game changers will be ok.

I would like to get a bit more balance in the midfield to be honest knowing Pogba is not really a 6, but Super Sayajin no Fellaini is doing so well that it's impossible to drop him, especially in these tough away games.

Having say that, I think that (and I hope) Martial get benched to Mkhitaryan.

I'm a big fan of Martial, but he's been poor so far, or average, and his attitude his not the one I would like to see from him.

Same team with Henrikh coming for Martial

I only watched their game against Leicester match and they weren't half bad. Did they do well in their 2nd match? or did they fluke their 100% record?

A Hull-win and they might be on top after 3 matches..... :)

Nah we should win but I am really impressed by Phelan's work so far

    Jose please :nervous:

    ---------- Zlatan
    Martial - Pogba - Mkhi*
    ---- Herrera** - Fellaini

    Please feed the muppets!

*could potentially replace Mkhi with Rashford or Lingard
** could be Pogba, with Mata or Mkhi at 10

Can we please get Miki into the game this time because he deserves it with the 15 minutes he had.

Mata wont be dropped you fools
See watching that only reinforces how much better he is playing centrally. He's definitely good enough to start for us providing he has quicker players on either side of him, trouble is when we're still shoehorning Rooney, Mata ends up being our sacrificial lamb.

He had a pretty good cameo alright, and I too would like to see him finally start. Mata will continue to do what he does, however Miki has pace. Thought that's why we bought him but here we are playing Mata on the right again.

Would love to see this, sadly won't with Rooney likely to start.

Pogba is very good in the more advanced role; however, playing in the deeper role, like we saw him against Southampton, allowed him more space to carry the ball, which is one of Pogba's biggest attributes. It's also something we've lacked in midfield for a while.

In the 10 role, it can sometimes get a bit congested, meaning it has to be a one/two touch game, as opposed to running with the ball.

this is not going to be has easy as some are making out, Hull also have 2 wins, it will be a tough game, I dont agree with the "its only Hull" thing.
I still think we will win but it wont be a walkover.

We are all underestimating Hull. Including me.

4-0 to us. Pogba to open its account. I can also see Jose trying a Bailly-Smalling partnership. Zlatan and Martial to be rested (on bench).

No Mata ??? I see no reason to drop him.

Hull play a 3-5-2 don't they? Using the width is going to be important for this one. I hope we use either Lingard/Mhki on the right.

the midfield battle is going to be key. Livermore+Huddlestone is a pretty powerful midfield, our own Poglani is going to have to get a good foothold on the game. If we can get the ball into Zlatan I can see him making mince meat out of their defence.

Would be great to see this or the variation you mentioned. Rooney will still be in there clogging up the system though.

Rested?!! Two weeks into a a season. Are you joking? Also considering that there is a week's break for Zlatan after Hull anyway.

Martial has just started to get some form. Resting him now would be ridiculous. Also Mourinho won't underestimate Hull.

I can't believe we already have to wait 2 weeks after this match for the derby. Bloody internationals.

Think they did under Bruce but they didn't against Leicester. Livermore played at centre back with Davies that game. I assume they did the same on Saturday.

What makes it worse is that we've just been dealt another average International tournament. Sick to death of them.

I really hope Mkhitaryan starts in the right wing over Mata who while a good player just hinders the whole team in attack by drifting in far too often. Mkhi's pace will give us an extra dimension and honestly if he doesn't play then I'll begin to wonder what Mourinhos plan is with him.

No point in moaning about them, they will never go away we just have to deal with them.
True, but moaning is part of our British culture.:D

Anyway, I'll look forward to Japan's and South Korea's games, so at least there's that for me.

I was just about to post the same sentiment . I also hope to see Mhkitaryan integrated into our team and established himself as a regular in this game. If not Mhkitaryan, then Lingard out on the right. Not a fan of 3 of our front four being Mata, Rooney and Zlatan. Even though, we performed well against Southamptom.

At the moment, I'm probably just about thinking we'll be unchanged, though part of me does think Mourinho might give Mkhitaryan his first start, prior to the international break.

Certainly don't see any more changes than that one if he does.
