We are still sixth credit to 3 draws before. Such a bad time to drop those points.

Such a pity that we are winning comfortably against one of the best home teams in the league... I'd rather Martial played and we lost...He has won us 10 titles 25 European cups and he has won the Ballon dor 43 times... I also want him to play for France...

The moaners on this forum are out of this world, honestly...I really pity you, you cannot enjoy games like that that make us jump like crazy and bring that enjoyable feeling back... It was a good weekend for every United fan but not for you obviously...
What the feck? You rather bow down to a player than win? Something is clearly off. I think he's not disciplined enough and doesn't stick to his tactical responsibilities. Jose can't trust Martial, simple.

De Gea booked for "time wasting" while Vardy is screaming "feck off" at him. Logic.

Anyway great win. Nice to have Bailly back.

To be honest, I don't mind the fact Martial hasn't got some time today.

He hasn't been great recently, and he walks around with a face like thunder constantly. I think it's Mourinho sending a message to him - if you want to get a run out, prove you've got:

    1. The right mentality
    2. The performance
    3. Willingness to work for your place and not get a free ride

If you don't have them, then you don't get on the field. If you continue to lack these 3 aspects, then on your bike son, you don't deserve to stay at United.
Don't read too much into that. He won't be sold.not a chance. Who do you think Mourinho will buy to replace martial.

Job done. I think we could have boosted the goal difference more second half. Our complacent finishing was still there. Schmichael still made six saves despite us scoring three.

Think a few have now got too big for their boots and haven't realised that last season was a freak and they vastly over performed.
Tools are down for sure. Fergie always hated complacency and had an idea of refreshing the team after title winning seasons. But it's always different when you have a target on your back, front and head like all champions do.

Our match day threads are our version of RAWK in large parts.

Yes it is sad that Martial is not starting but for F sake, are you a Manchester United Supporter or a Martial sycophant?

Also with United it was sustainable. Leicester it was always likely to be a one off and some of those players thought they were getting a big money transfer elsewhere.

I guess you did not read what I wrote...Can't you feel the sarcasm mate?!? I do not care about Martial, I just want United to win and that is what my post meant. If Mou does not play him he has a reason to do so...

It's still the only time you ever see one minute added on at the end of a game
I agree, but given that a lot of games end up with three minutes of stoppage time, there is reason to assume that in a 'normal' game the ref will add on time for the subs and not much else.

Today we were efficient and ruthless. It was lethal football. The type of football that kills. Clinical, effective, deadly. We won a tricky away game within a one minute spell - that was beautiful and breathtaking. Mourinho's trademark ruthlessness at its best.

Now we are one point behind Liverpool and two behind Arsenal. If they carry on their respective meltdowns we will overtake them easily and we can turn our sights to bigger fish like Spurs and Chelsea. If we play like this we will end the season in the top three and also win both the League Cup and Europa League (and possibly FA Cup too)

 Jamie Vardy is a detestable little shite. Can't wait to see him in the Championship next season where he belongs.
No he is not. Last year he had a fabulous season. All credit and good luck to him and Leicester. If you really cannot stomach the 'little guy' making good and defying the odds then thats quite sad.

Martial's natural game is not suited to this philosophy on the wing. His way of beating a player is with the ball at his feet . Now he is required to attack the space off the ball and increase his work rate too much which for a 20 year old is difficult. Martial ain't a star yet that he'll leave.

Yes you are spot on. We need to stop complaining FFS. Jose and the players he has picked have done a wonderful job today. Those who are complaining about Zlatan and wanting him to be subbed off - please have a good look at the number of goals he has scored. And again he scored today. He has scored many more than Martial this season.

I get that some fans want Jose to build the whole team around Martial for some reason - obviously they think he is Messi.

How about actually enjoying the victory, it has been an emphatic one and we have finally discovered our killing touch. The way we killed off the game today within a 2 minute period, that was efficient Mourinho Football at its best.

Martial did not contribute to it so let's focus on the guys who did - and give them praise where it's due.

I couldn't agree more mate. Some people seem to be more of a fan of individuals rather than the team collectively.

We don't know the reason why Martial is not being selected.

People were actually saying earlier that poor old Martial should leave as he's being treated so badly by the big bully Mourinho . We don't know the facts behind his omission ffs!!

Back the team and back the manager :D

see? let's believe our manager.. 3-0 wow!
See? Did you "see" against Hull and all of the other games we have drew against poor opposition? We would have won this game with Martial just as we did without him. I do believe in our manager I just don't like his petulant treatment of certain players.

He initiated the danger in our game today, was the only player to create danger on the goal before we scored, constantly tied 2 or 3 Leicester players to the byline, and created this way loads of space in the middle/right that could be exploited by the rest, which it was. Didn't let any danger go past him throughout the game
Fair enough I can see the point. Thanks.

is that so? it's clear that the only difference that in this game we finished our chances and against Hull, our finishing was very bad. nothing to do with playing Martial or not. so, we cant blame Jose for the results against Hull.
but just to make you smile, tbh against Hull I also want Jose to bring Martial in 2nd half, not Rooney since I also like Martial and want him to be important and great player for United.

Ok on this one occasion I will bite. What petulant treatment of certain players are you referring to. I'm not interested in press gossip. In order to agree with you what I want is 'proof' that Shaw/Martial/Smalling or anyone else did not need a big kick up the backside. And I don't want any of the 'he should have done it in private' unless you have evidence that he has not. No speculation please just give me hard facts.

And just as an aside by your own logic then if we had have won the game against Leicester with Martial as well as without him I assume our results against Hull or draws against poor opposition would not have changed had he have played?

And with that good night to one and all

We should not drop our most technically gifted player.

Who would you play ahead of him? Fellaini?
It might be beneficial for him for just one game. Yeah, or play a midfield 2 of Carrick and Herrera with Mata in 10. If it gets him going then it needs doing.

Proof they didn't need a kick up the backside? Martial assisting two goals against Wigan and then being dropped for two games, just as he was dropped for the two games before that. That's proof in itself he didn't need a kick up the backside and should have kept his place in the team. On Luke Shaw I don't say Mourinho has been petulant with him as I do think Shaw has genuinely been poor, although Mourinho was a little harsh calling him out earlier in the season. The situation is different with Martial as he isnt dropped for playing poorly it is for some other unknown reason.

No. You have misunderstood my logic. We would have won the game against Leciester with or without Martial because they are awful and the worst team in the league right now. The result against Hull I believe would probably have been different and more likely a win for us if Martial had played.

Most players can generate powerful stuff with volleys. It is shooting with the ball on the ground that makes you see who is truly powerful and who isn't.
It's true, we haven't seen him shooting those powerful shots in a while. But I think it's more circumstantial, not being able to catch it properly or going for accuracy instead of power.

I'm having a hard time believing though that he has physically lost strength. It doesn't make sense to me, he even broke the power records in the test when he joined.

There was one freekick in the beggining of the season where he had a strong shot, it also went directly at the keeper. Then there are all his other free kicks where you can't really tell if it's heavy since they hit the wall.

So far away I get up 4am to just watch Utd on TV
I'm fine with Fellaini.. Young makes no sense. He is basically up for sale. I like Young, but if he has no future, why is he getting minutes here in a dead game ?
Maybe a way of saying "thanks" to Young not fecking off to China or where ever in the January window when perhaps he could've? Jose went on the record saying he appreciates that Young is providing him with another experienced another body, who, let's face it, can play a number of roles on the left or right if needed, during what is going to be a very, very important league run-in.
    I'm just sayin' ...
