    Matic has been fine.

I'm a huge Maguire fan, but hes been shocking for the most part. That's a hospital pass he plays Fred. Of course Fred was poor, but it was needless.

McTominay and Bruno for Donny and Fred please. Cavani for Tony as well.
Matic has been fecking awful. His passive, cowardly, lazy play makes the job of everyone around him 10 times harder. It happens every time he plays. He's utterly pointless.

That analysis of Martial’s movement is woeful.

Had he come short every time instead of stretching the back three they’d be kicking his arse for not making runs in behind.

He’s had a shit season but he’s far from the problem today.
    The analysis is spot on.
    Martial is a joke.

How are you "beating the press" by giving the ball to a guy with his back to said press?
With a one-two first time return. Fred pads his passing stats with those kinds of balls every single game.

It draws his marker out and creates space in midfield.

Southampton if we get through and Chelsea v City. Nice draw for the first time in ages, means we're losing today.

Fred wasn't facing the wrong way.

Fred deliberately moves towards the ball and asks for the pass. It's something that happens lots of times in every single match and Maguire was right to trust his teammate. That's how team sports work.

If Fred didn't want the pass, he could have stayed where he was and pointed out to the wings.
Yep, Fred moving towards Maguire drags the player behind him closer to goal, thereby leaving a big massive space in midfield for another United player to occupy for an 'out' ball whilst being pressed. The issue, as you've pointed out, isn't the idea, it's the execution.

Rodri, Fernandinho, Jorginho, etc do this every game successfully.

Another game that shows that we have a number of midfielders but few of them are top level. Fred and Matic on the ball = :nervous:. Incredibly we spent something like £80m on them. Imagine we'd invested that money into a #6 who isn't a pressing trigger for the opposition...

Thankfully we're in with a hope. However, with our ball retention in midfield, you have to believe we'll serve up a few more chances to Leicester second half. Fingers crossed someone in the front four can win it for us.

Awful first half if we’re being honest. Henderson and Telles have been ok, the rest anonymous or dreadful. Fred with the shittest of shit performances so far. All of this with the exception of Pogba, who is really our only creative spark outside of Bruno, and Mason, who got the goal he’s deserved since the season began. Time for him to kick on and get more now!

Need to improve as a collective. Leicester have pressed us to the point where some players are hiding.

I want VdB to be given more time on the pitch. We need to integrate him.

I’m blaming Leicester’s goal on Maguire. Good to see Beinsports doing the same
By the time Fred received the ball the Leicester player was on him. Yes he should have passed it better but Maguire can see what was happening behind Fred. Just because Fred said pass, Maguire shouldn't have passed.

Southampton if the team can win. This is an opportunity to walk into a final, it's these clutch moments that I feel will undermine Solskjaer's career as a manager having won nothing meaningful.
