We're playing in the black away kit, right? The United Twitter account just had our emblem on a grey background, but the black wouldn't clash at all.

Will you guys be disappointed in Mourinho if he parks the bus and gets a 0-0 draw?
Nope, fine by me. Liverpool raise their game against us tremendously, I'd be happy with a draw.

We are wearing grey for some reason.
Ah. Guess the club wants to use a high-profile game to maybe shift more of them? Only time we should be wearing that third kit is vs teams that play in a combination of black and red, like Bournemouth.
EDIT: Seem to remember Liverpool wore a very dull grey kit in their 4-1 win at OT in 2009, a really bad day for us - hopefully fortunes are reversed this time.

    Match facts (via Opta):
    • Liverpool are winless in six Premier League games against Manchester United (D2 L4), their worst run since an eight-match winless run against the Red Devils between 2004 and 2008.
    • Manchester United have won three of their last five Premier League visits to Anfield (W3 D1 L1) and have kept clean sheets in their last two games there.
    • Liverpool have won just one of their last eight matches against Manchester United in all competitions (W1 D3 L4) – winning 2-0 in the Europa League in 2015-16.
    • Manchester United have kept 17 clean sheets in the Premier League in 2017, three more than any other side. Jose Mourinho’s side have recorded a shutout in eight of their last nine league games, shipping just two goals in the process (vs Stoke).
    • Jurgen Klopp has lost just one of his seven competitive meetings with Jose Mourinho as a manager (W3 D3 L1).
    • Since Jose Mourinho took charge of Manchester United ahead of 2016-17; these two clubs have won the exact same number of points in the Premier League (88). Liverpool have scored 16 more goals (91 v 75) but have conceded 23 more (54 v 31).
    • Jose Mourinho won eight of his first 10 Premier League meetings with Liverpool (D1 L1) between October 2004 and November 2014 but since then he has failed to win any of his four games against them (D3 L1).
    Liverpool team news:
    • Klopp has been dealt a huge blow with the news that Sadio Mane is out for six weeks. Mane will miss this weekend’s match as well as a big clash against Tottenham, and is a doubt to face Chelsea on November 25.
    • Roberto Firmino was left out against the Magpies, but will likely start against United.
    • Midfielder Adam Lallana (thigh) is running outside again but is still several weeks from a comeback while right-back Nathaniel Clyne is also recovering well from a back injury.
    Manchester United team news:
    • Mourinho is still set to be without Paul Pogba after confirming that he thinks of the midfielder as a “long-term” injury problem, while Marouane Fellaini will also miss out after damaging his knee ligaments on international duty for Belgium.
    • Michael Carrick is out in a further midfield setback, but Romelu Lukaku has recovered.
    • With United lacking the height of Fellaini and Pogba, Mourinho could be tempted to play a three-man defence, bring Ander Herrera into midfield for added security before throwing on the likes of Anthony Martial to make an impact in the second half.

As much as this line up is perfectly balanced I don't expect young and valencia to play on same side because the offer similar things.
I'm thinking Jose may feel Liverpool are strong down that side attacking wise though so may want two players who he trusts defensively, who can get up and down the pitch (unlike Mata maybe) and aren't played out of position (like Rashford or Martial would be)

Hate this fixture. The most nervous match day of the year. fecking Anfield. Even SAF had trouble getting results there.
Yep, such an annoying game, form always goes out the window no matter the lineups or ground
Would happily see us scrape a win with the ref assisting an offside lukaku with a rabona after tackling coutinho in the 94th minute after 3 minutes injury time indicated

In that case lingard could be brought in who does all 3 things in defensive contribution , work rate abilities to get up and down the pitch and at the same time create and cut inside.

As long as Lingard doesn't start, we'll be fine. Mou has a habit of playing him in the big games and 90% of the times Lingard fails and gets replaced at half time. For example: Real in the Super Cup. I wonder if Lingard may start at RW to counter Moreno going forward at LB. I hope Mou is aggressive and starts Rashford and Martial on the wings. Liverpool hate set pieces and counter attacking football more than anything, and we'll destroy them if Mou starts with them. Also, I wouldn't start Mkhi since he tends to lose the ball so often and looked so out of form even in the International games with Armenia. So, Why not start Juan since he has a good record here?

Obviously we look a little uncomfortable with just 2 fit CM's. I'm sure if we didn't have the injuries in this position Mou would have started 3 CM's to get more of the ball. So I do think we may not have a lot of the ball in this game and we'll have to absorb a lot of pressure in this game!

Lingard always fails on the left and against madrid he was playing left wingback so he was set up to fail.

On the right he fits nice and contributes in the build up , but he's not good in final third at all.

You know this game is coming close when I feel physical sick and haven't eaten all day :nervous:

Honestly there isn't any other game that could do something like this. Feel confident and bloody nervous as feck at the same time :nervous:
I feel you bro I really do. So confident we'll smash them, but equally worried about what happens if we lose.

Our fans need to stop feeling nervous , matic and lukaku are big difference this year compared to last year which enhances our football very much, with matic being the perfect midfeilder who does it all and Lukakus ability to get in behind with pace and score goals.

I've got a good feeling about this one that I've not had in a long time, we will rip them apart and that's when we will be taken seriously by all those who say we ain't played a decent team. 3-0 UTD

Reckon we'll go with the 343 personally to add extra height and trouble them from set pieces.

If we do Martial has to start. The freedom to get at that defence would undoubtedly yield results.

    I'd personally go with

    DDG
    Bailly Smalling Jones
    Valencia Herrera Matic Young
    Rashford Lukaku Martial

Expect Martial to swap out for Mkhi and run a 3412 though withe Rashford playing close to Lukaku whenever he gets chance.

If Mourinho tries to park the bus then we will lose.

We are more than good enough to win this today if we play to our strengths.

Yes. If he does that against Liverpool then it will be the same against City, Chelsea,Arsenal,Tottenham and any decent team we meet in the champions league.

I want to be entertained in the big games, not bored rigid.
Are you fine with being entertained and lose?

We have the squad and team to beat Liverpool. No way we park the bus for atleast 70 mins.

We dint park the bus last I'm around for nearly 70 mins too but lacked the balance and creativity in the attacking half so we couldn't keep the ball Orr successfully counter with penetration.

Jones , lindelof, tuanzebe, blind who knows.

But a 433 is possible if we need extra control in the middle.
Wouldn't completely stun me to see Lindelof/Tuanzebe in there.

By the way if mourinho parks the bus , then they won't be able to score a single goal so no chance of loosing this game.
