Has completed 8, made 1 tackles, 2 clearances, 2 dribbles, won 3 aerials. Criticize him, but don't flat out lie.
I agree - no way has he been our worst player. some people just have axes to grind and will grind away no matter what

Any PL RB would be an upgrade over Dalot. Absolutely brain dead and talentless

Liverpool with lot of ball but We are good in our positions as long as players do their defensive work. McTominay needs to be better on ball today as does Amrabat and we are little in danger with yellow to Mainoo and Amrabat.

With Onana I’m getting 3 years koder for every time we start our play.

Centre backs have played well, really showing their experience so far.
Still plenty of time for Oliver to be the hero though

Not sure what people expected. We've done well considering, taken the tempo out of the game at every opportunity and defending well. Just keep this up in the second half now.

So it sounds like we're down 0-0 at the half.

Except I've been watching the whole game and given the players available, I am quite pleased with the plan and our execution.

Prediction: Darwin Nunez gets a second yellow.

We are shite, we know that. Let’s not mess around. We all came here expecting a 6-0 defeat. It’s 0-0. Let’s celebrate

The lack of technical ability in handling the ball in our midfield is astounding. How many times has McT and Amrabat fecked up counter attacking moves with a bad first touch or couldn't keep the ball.

Onana is a good fit for matches like this. You just can't press him and he will find a pass.

I'd be optimistic if we had a front three capable of creating something from nothing, but we just look lost every time we get into the final third (not that it has happened much).

That said, 0-0 at half time. Liverpool are far from their best, and if we can step it up in the second half, the games there for us.

Defensively have done alright. Not just holding Liverpool scoreless at half time but to three shots on target their best chance a routine save from Onana from a corner.

Offensively have been woeful. Struggled to put three consecutive passes together. The big concern is the amount of players on yellows and going down to 10 men and it could become very messy.

We'd all have taken 0-0 at HT before the game started, but it's still painful to watch. The gulf in class is enormous.

I still think they'll end up scoring but we've defended well so far anyway. It's about as good as I could've hoped for by this team's stanadards.

For a team low on confidence, key players out injured against one of the favourites for the premier league I will take 0-0, we are still in the game. Embarrassing as it is, we hold them and a dodgy penalty here or own goal there, 100% to get a result, i'd take that. We contained them but really couldn't get our attacking players in the game. The worry is they can prob step up a level or 3 while this is probably our best line up all things considered.

Training game for liverpool who hardly got out of 1st gear.
Same old story, the midfield and attacking play are non existent. The players played like the first time playing together.

Varane has been great defensively, however both him and Evans less good with ball at their feet.

If Antony, McT and Garnacho could actually keep the ball we would be playing fairly well.

Defense looks much better with two DMs. Maybe ETH will learn from this but I have my doubts. Next match we'll see Bruno, McT and Amrabat starting.

In 2 years really.. We have been beaten other days, but we ventured forward, carried the ball well and brave on the ball.

Liverpool have had in 45 minutes.
    9 corners.
    15 goal attempts.
    67% possession.

45 dangerous attacks vs 10 to United.

1 clearance ATTEMPTED vs 18 to United.

Say what you may but this is up there with the worst performance in some time. Scoreline we are okay but performance wise it's shocking football.

    Hojlund has completed 1 pass.
    Scott has completed 8 passes.
    Onana has completed 12 passes.
    Mainoo has completed 8 passes.

Only Onana, Varane, Shaw have completed more than 10 passes in 45 minutes.

I hope Ratcliffe has the guts to feck off the players and manager and starts afresh. Obviously cant happen all at once, but they are all fecking useless.

Done exceptionally well so far, actually. I'm not sure it's football we are playing, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I think Dalot is the last player in the squad I'd put on a free kick. Then again I'd never have him in the squad at all.

Love how the crowd got confused and went silent.

They expected us to look like part timers and we kept our end of the deal. But they don't understand why Liverpool are doing the same.

I just can't believe some people actually rate Dalot
They usually use the “decent squad player” card that’s always the excuse for mediocrity. McTominay had that convenience for years.

Insane that we gave him a 5 year contract. We bought him 5 years ago for 20m as a highly rated prospect, and it hasn’t worked. He should be moved on, hopefully for a profit. Yet we continue to reward mediocrity.

They've shat the bed any time they've been near our box, and we've shat the bed any time we've been near their half.

I suppose it being an awful game like this is about the best we could have realistically hoped for, but even this will just end up in Michael Oliver gleefully giving them a nothing penalty in the 88th minute.
