    Can I have a rant?
I do hope we win, cause of one cooworker, he is insuferable human being. Just started to follow City for few months and is "huge" fan. He also likes Barca and Bayern, now you know the reason.... He know everything about their big history, trophies they won, made me laugh.. Can't stand the man any more, and he used to be one of the nicest guys at work. First game at OT, day after, dear God.... League Cup game, day after I asked him what was the result, with smile on my face, he said it was not important game, Pep lost it on purpose,... blah.. when I loled, he slamed office door in my face... Whole day today he's been talking how we are going to lose big time, Pep wil destroy Jose, they will humiliate us worst than Chelsea did, yada yada blah. We is so anoying that other guy who doesn't care about football in general, let alone about english one, told him he will punch him if he says another word!
Please, please ManUtd, WIN!!!!! Pleaseee, or I will go to work tomorrow with a baseball bat!

Rant over, thanks for listening, actually, I fell better now!

So important players out due to injury I just hope we don't lose. A draw will keep our chances alive on getting 3rd 4th but if we lose this I think it's time to focus only on winning E.L and prepare for it and rest players for it, And wow if we can nick a win with this squad we have available that would be just brilliant and keep us tight on top 4, just a wish.

Will be interesting to see if Mourinho applies the same principles as against Chelsea. He'll have to tweak it though, unless City play with three attackers like Chelsea, rather than four.

Was basically a back 6 against Chelsea with Rojo/Bailly on Costa, Young/Valencia tracking their wingbacks, Herrera and Darmian on man-marking duties, Pogba/Fellaini in front keeping an eye on Matic/Kanté and Rashford/Lingard pressing the back 3. Not conventional but certainly effective, adjusting according to opposition.

Looking forward to, hopefully, another masterclass

You likely to have 60% tonight, Jose will have United trying to hold you out and look to sucker punch on the counter.
We will with Silva a midfield of Fernandinho, KDB and Yaya will misplace too many passes. Yaya probably to United players from being lazy and when he's pressed, KDB over the sidelines trying to force the issue to the wingers. Its a reason that Pep prefers KDB as a wideman or no.10 (we don't use the later), he tries the killer ball too often and messes up the simple stuff sometimes, which is why on the wing he can look poor but still finish matches with 2 assists etc... In CM he probably gives away the ball too much. He's a great player but not patient, a bit like Pogba for you guys, he can try and force the issue when there is zero need. We won't recycle the ball enough with KDB/Yaya.

You guys will play direct and on the counter but we'll miss so many passes you'll have alot more of the ball than if Silva was playing.

    Martin Atkinson....City will get everything.
He hates us too, the guy is just a shockingly bad referee. Its kind of funny, United fans "Atkinson, that fecker will give everything to City", City fans "Atkinson, that idiot will give everything to United.". BlueMoon people "Atkinson, he is working for David Gill who is under the spell of Alex Fergusons mind games since 1992.".

Actually, we're weaker than I'd like and part of me wants to just avoid a battering, but then again we're good enough to get a result so reasons to be positive. I think I'd prefer three st the back and defend like crazy and stifle them before hitting their shite defence on the break. A good game plan is needed. I'll stick with my original prediction of 1 nil with Marcus scoring.

Rashford on the left due to his workrate with Martial through the middle would be my guess for tonight.
Mkhi on the right to kill them with pace and movement.

I'm hoping for another unpopular line-up in the eyes of everyone (including meself).

I reckon we might win this match if we don't lose it.
Good shout that, I honesty think both teams stand a similar chance of winning, but it could also end in a draw.

Both teams will be up for it as they are in search for the CL spot.

Grass is green, emptyhad is empty, Atkinson is a cnut, overall I predict it should be a competitive game as long as no one's sent off since if that happens opposition will always have a better chance of winning by having a man advantage.

Reckon you guys will snatch this since it has more importance to you (we have the EL as an escape option for the CL) plus our injuries, we basically have our entire first choice central line with Rojo\Pogba\Zlatan out injured.

Word of advice, use the general PL thread for your match comments when the game starts since this thread likely will be overloaded with emotion and we might seem offensive :)

There will be no one posting there so it'd be pointless. Better advice is to post sensibly.

Thats what I plan on dude, haha. You almost quoted my original post on here (page 12 I think word for word). I also said I think we'll sneak it 2-1 because we NEED it, otherwise this season is a total wash out and worse than last season despite us probably racking up 15 or so more points by the seasons end. You guys not so much as you'll win the Europa (you don't lose often enough not to).

We need to start beating top teams again and all we have to show is 45 impressive minutes at OT and scraping over the line against you. And a 2nd half comeback against Arsenal. We've only won 2 games against the top 7 in the league in 11 attempts over the last 2 seasons. I'll def be running to the football forum so I don't get killed lol. Also if you score first I'll probably go offline for a sulk and come back tomorrow.

Good luck for the game but I hope ye lose.

Quick question: I'm in Germany at the moment and in the hotel I have Sky Sport Germany 1 and 2, who holds the PL broadcasting rights in Germany and will I be able to watch the game on Sky Sports Germany? Thanks.

I see us maybe getting a draw. I think Jose will try to make this into the Anfield game by stifling City's attacking channels. I don't know if we'll have the manpower to keep them out for 90 minutes, though. Blind will have his hands full at CB and the MF without Pogba looks wanting. A draw IMO would not be a bad result at all.

That will seem to be a good line-up. Who will be the striker from Rash or Martial will be interesting.

7 defenders, 1 Mkhi, Rashford and Martial up-top? :smirk:

I'd guess Martial is the striker as Mourinho trusts Rashford more to track back.

Didn't expect Mkhi to get a start. Let's see how much he changed since that horror show in the first Manchester derby!
