When Fellaini's head touches Agüero's, then surely Agüero's touches Fellaini's? Agüero was the one who walked up to Fellaini and sought contact. Yes, Fellaini bought it, but Agüero instigated it and Fellaini pushed against him to stand his ground, and Agüero did just what he came for, ie dove like a fanny.
It's irrelevant, he should have just walked away.

What? You're not making sense here. Fellaini moves his head in a forward motion (albeit a very small one) and connects with Aguero. It's therefore a heabutt. And a red card.
He's right in way though. It's never a head-butt in a million years, and he only makes contact because Aguero walks several yards to have his head against Fellaini's. A head-butt is actually a thing.

Total stupidity, however, as referee's always punish these 'head-nudges'.

Fellaini does a forward motion to meet Agüero, who's walked up to him from five yards away in order to put his head against his. I think both should be punished because Agüero's clearly instigating the situation. Fellaini's a moron and should be sent off, but Agüero should definitely be booked for that as well.

What's Fellaini supposed to do there? Wait for Agüero to get there and put his head against his and just take it?

Perhaps, yeah...I'm not trying to argue that it was a particularly vicious headbutt, and Aguero does square up to him, but the one who instigates actual, direct contact with the forward movement of his head is Fellaini. Hence why he was sent off.

Agüero also moved his head towards Fellaini, he just played it better.

Instigating what? He squares up to Fellaini but until that moment he's not made any actual, direct physical contact with opponent. He might have done so. I'm not sure. But until he actually does, you can't really punish him for anything in particular. Fellaini was just idiotic enough to be goaded into conflict.

This game could have been so much better if United had actually tried to play themselves instead of just parking the bus.

Aguero walks up to Fellaini, but Fellaini's the one who actually moves his head forward in a direct forward moment that causes the contact. Very, very soft...but again, it's Fellaini's doing, irrespective of Aguero squaring up to him.

Think we can really be upset with the ref on this one. Constant fouls on Martial and Rashford not given. Aguero not even booked for starting the entire fight in the first place. Point at those blue shite is good with 10 men and lots of injuries to our squad.

What's the table looking like right now?

Just see it again. Agüero's just smaller, doesn't mean he can't move.

    There's only one United!
    That's racist
    What's racist about that?!

Don't be stupid - I was intimating that Fernandinho has been boxing everyone all over the field of play and can go and fight in the ring. That's all. Can't you understand something so simple?!

what would you like to see?
I would've liked to see us push up the field and press them and try and counter on their mistakes. In my eyes the draw might as well as he a loss when you take into account our remaining fixtures compared to Liverpools and City's. We needed the win today more than they did and we did nothing too get it.

    Yup. Bad result.
City are awful, Pep and his slow build up possession football :boring:
Despite their possession and taking the emotions out of the game I genuinely don't think they looked like scoring tonight.

Given how broken up our first XI is through injuries and fatigue, and the fact Fellaini left us with 10 men, a good away point for us. Keeps the unbeaten mentality going too.

I've watched it over several times now. He squares up to Fellaini, but it's Fellaini who makes the active forward motion with his head that results in a headbutt.

Instigating the contact by walking up to Fellaini and also moving his head towards Fellaini's. If you don't see where his head is going then you need your eyes checked.

The only difference is that they're going into the situation for different reasons. Agüero knows he's going there to dive, while Fellaini's getting squared up to and is trying to defend himself.

Look right at the end of the video. When Fellaini bends his head down, Agüero moves in with his head towards Fellaini.

He's moving his head towards Fellaini in the sense that he's walking towards him...but he doesn't actually go for the headbutt. Maybe he would have, but the ref can only act on what's actually happened, and in that incident it's Fellaini who headbutts him. There's no defensive action in it from Fellaini, he didn't need to move his head forward at all like that, and should've known Aguero was trying to incite the incident.

It is called common sense. Walk away and laugh. Do not stick your head out.
