    We're going to win .

Yeah City beat everyone else at the Etihad but we're better than everyone else :).

Mourinho the master party pooper might pull off a draw that will be horrible to watch, but even that might be too much to hope for.

I realized that if we beat City next weekend, Jose's United 2017/18 would become 4th team to beat all teams in the league this season after Chelsea's 2005/6, United 2010/11 and Pep's City 2017/18. This is a big improvement compared to last few seasons.

    Tony Bailly smalling young
    Herrera mctominay matic
    Mata Lukaku Sanchez

Lingard to come off the bench and grab the winner
I haven’t included pogba because I can’t deal with him giving away needless possession time after time.

Strong and physical in the middle and pace on the wings. We're not going to dominate possession so it's best to keep it tight at the back and hit them fast on the counter. Have McTominay man marking KDB.

Kind of a weird game. City have won the league pretty much so really they don’t need to win this game, especially with the CL either side of it.
So will they even play their full strength team?

It’s against their biggest rivals and surely they would love to win it against us but seeing as the league is wrapped up will they risk the CL for that.

Then on the flip side if we beat them is it a hollow victory as they could be taking it easy with the next game in mind.

Which fecking idiot decided it'd be a good idea to have this fixture on at 5:30?

Avoid the city centre next Saturday night, it'll be absolute carnage.

Of course any kind of win would be hollow.
No one gave a shite when they beat us at OT in April 2013.

I am hoping for a Draw. City have a big game against Liverpool on Wednesday night and I am sure there will be a few of their players nursing knocks. Let's hope Mourinho goes for it and not park the bus.

    Bizarre isn't it.

Most games of this nature kick-off at lunchtime - a product of the police lobbying the Premier League and broadcasters. So why on earth this was scheduled for Saturday evening is beyond me. Throw a title-clincher into the mix and it's a recipe for disaster.

If this goes the way most of us fear, then does anyone expect United fans to scuttle away quietly?

About 1 shot on target for us. Damp squib of a performance, title to City, press reset.

This'll confirm who has the bottle in our squad. You can bet your bottom dollar that there are one or two in our squad who'll be apprehensive all week about this game - fearing the worst. Whereas others will relish it. Sadly, I fear our squad is comprised of the former.

If anyone goes hiding in this game, it'll be curtains for them under Mourinho.

If ever there was time for Mourinho to instil his dogs of war mentality, it'd be now. I would not be adverse to this game turning into complete carnage, I'd sooner that than a feeble, tail-between-legs afternoon.

    I can imagine the headlines.
United fans turn violent as empire falls. Or
United fans see red as Manchester turns blue.
Whatevers the outcome, hope there's no trouble.

At least we'll outnumber them in the stadium.

There is that, I still have nightmares about THAT goal, still blame Joey fecking Barton !!
The truth is that sending off actually galvanised them, and QPR went ahead after that!

It was news coming in from elsewhere that meant they were safe that lead to them easing off, and it was an absolute disgrace how they just booted it up field after Dzeko had scored for 2-2, rather than trying to play it about and see the last minute out.

ATK: Alexis on or Sanchez off? 2 or 3 attackers? Out of 5 options, who'll play?

MID: Midfield 2 or 3? Pogba on or off? Herrera-Matic or MaTominic?

DEF: Bailly-Smalling or Bailly-Lindelof? Rojo surprises starter?

Think it'll be this. Bailly right side CB, and instead of Mata, I think it'll be Lingard RW/RM.

Go out there, play some football and see what happens. In the end we haven't played well enough and need to be better next season.

Man marking a pep side doesn't look a good idea. The front 8 are pretty fluid.

I wonder who Pep will rest. He might give Silva and Kompany time to relax, would be interesting if he were to rest De Bruyne too. Unless, of course, they destroy Liverpool on Wednesday.

Yeah it's weird they do this so often. I think quite a few of the recent Merseyside derby's have been late Saturday kick offs.

Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Silva, De Bruyne and Sane will start each of the next three. Everyone else will be rotated.

Absolutely. He's one of the best in our squad at conserving energy economically.
Fair enough. I don't doubt that, with conserving energy. Just thought with his off field situation and a relatively capable deputy in Gundogan, you could do us the favour of not playing him next weekend :D

Seems his son is doing better every day, which is great news. Gundogan might well feature in the second leg depending on how the first one goes.

Might be one of the most embarrassing day for United fan if we lose. It will certainly be etched in the history books. I will go with:

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailey - Jones - Young
    Matic
    McTominay - Pogba
    Lingard - Lukaku - Sanchez

    How we may set up:
    De Gea
    Valencia Bailey Smalling Young
    Matic
    Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Sanchez
    Lukaku

But this is probably how we will end up looking:
    De Gea
Lingard Valencia Herrera Matic Pogba Young Sanchez
    Lukaku

I'd rather cut off my own dick with a rusty penknife than have to suffer (1) Athletic winning the title (2) Beating us to win it, and (3) then doing a Lap of Honour in front of their own fans - and all at the same time.

I won't predict the line-up, but I'd be happy to go something like 3 GKs, 4 FBs, 3 CBs and 1 DMF and wouldn't give a monkey's if the ball doesn't even cross the halfway line into their half as long as the match ends 0-0.

Aguero scores his 200 goal to win the league with the entire stadium (depending on traffic problems) chanting park the bus Man Utd as we struggle to get the ball off them.
From Aguerrro, to Leicester being able to win the league at OT, to West Hams last ever game at Upton Park and Spurs last ever game at WHL.
    What is going on!

As embarrassing as losing to Midgetland (who were only created 17 years before) in the Europa League?
Or how about losing to (newly promoted, relegation candidate) Norwich City, at OT?

Losing to MCFC (who are breaking all kinds of records this season), is not embarrassing, though it would be disappointing.

Have a feeling this will be a draw or us winning. Jose wont like losing it and delaying them the title would be a good moral boost .

Mourinho won't, but he's not the one taking to the field. The jury is out as to whether he can instil the right kind of mentality in the players in order for us to get something from this game. Sometimes things feel inevitable in football and I'd by lying if I didn't think this is one such occasion.

Don't get me wrong, if we were to produce a result, it'd be pivotal in our development as a Mourinho team.
