Are you mad going into this game with Matic and Pogba on their own? You want to see us humiliated? We gonna need all of our CMs on the pitch...Herrera, Carrick/Scott, Pogba, and Matic to start in order to shore up the middle of the park.
He's not gone with Pogba and Matic alone. There's 3 at the back and Lindelof will be key with the build up from the back. It's not the same as 4-2-3-1. It's the same formation we used to beat Arsenal. With Lingard and Alexis pressing from the front Pogba will have more time and space definitely.

Yeah imagine if Arsenal had 30 shots at our goal under that set up, how many City are going to have against us? It’s incredibly stupid on every level, our CBs gonna shit the bed every time they press and gonna lump it forward, rinse and repeat...Wave after wave, we are not going to survive 10mins by employing that startegy.

Dreading this. Think we’ll lose, I just hope we don’t get thrashed. I don’t want to be down on us but this is their season, tbh I want it to be over already and we can try again next year.

They are much better than us and deserved title winners. I hope we spoil the party by a week at least, but it won’t make a difference to my opinion of our season.

    1-1

This will be similar to the Chelsea-City game a few weeks ago. We will just try and avoid a thrashing and offer no desire or intent to beat them.

    1-0 City.

It doesn't matter. What matters is the intensity of our play and our attacking movement. The first 10 minutes against Arsenal we were superb. Pressing high and forcing them into mistakes. We didn't keep that up through the 90 minutes tho. We sat back on the 2-0 lead. We need to replicate those 10 minutes throughout the whole game vs Man City. Adding Herrera or Fellaini isn't going to make a difference IMO. We're going to be forced back even more. Our gameplan is better if we have more speed and mobility in our attack and push City back that way.

Park the bus so hard, this will live on in United's history just like the 6-1 if they become champions at OT. Don't even want to picture them celebrating at Old Trafford at full time.
    It’s at the Etihad.

Surely we target their LB like we did with TAA at Old Trafford. Only problem is Rashford isn’t as effective on the right.

If you're worried about them celebrating at Old Trafford, then I can reassure you it will never happen this season even if they win! so go on and enjoy your life. :D

You’re naive man, no amount of intensity is going to replace extra space in the middle for City to exploit.

City will find less space in the middle if we stop them playing from the back. Just play our best players from the start and then shore things up depending on how the game is going in the 2nd half.

Need City to activate our United spirit waking up from the dead and rise like fire and beat them at their own stadium 0-3 and United is on the fire to tear everyone apart with 6 games left and do the same thing next season by tearing everyone 4-0, 4-0, 4-0 and 4-0 become default scoreline despite playing boring football. Winning league 2018-19 unbeaten with 114 points so Jose will be the best manager in the world and first manager to humiliate Pep Guardiola twice in La Liga and Premier League.

Yeah, I don't know what I am writing, but feck it.

Hopefully we don't park the bus and we give them a good game at least.
    Says the City Lover. :D
If we attempt to outplay MCFC, at Ethihad, there will only be result - a heavy loss and MCFC fans like abdo99 will love to see that. :p
Pep will be hoping that we attempt to "play" and Jose must resist.
We need to stop them from playing, park the bus and attempt to hit them on the counter for a 1-0 win.

Let's do what we do well - park the bus and attempt to score on the break.
What we will need to do better though is for our midfield to show some fight. If our midfield does not show any fight (which has tended to be the case against better teams), MCFC will camp in front of our goal and eventually score. For this reason, I would not pick Pogba, as he just does not possess the fighting mentality needed.

At least we won't be turning up there and giving them a guard of honour. That looked a risk fairly recently.
If they beat us, they'll win the title against us.
That won't be nice for us.

The drama couldn't be much bigger (except, of course, if it were the last matchday and United could win the thing themselves). I expect a Jose close to exploding with the ambition to deny City this one particular win, and if he hasn't lost all influence with his players, they will fight with everything they got, too.

Parking the bus won't work. Everyone who's gone to the Etihad to park the bus has been swept aside. Chelsea being the latest. Do you want us to play like Chelsea did and lose in that humiliating way without trying? That should be a warning sign for us. What have we got to lose if we go for it? Nothing. We aren't going to win the league based on this game so why the obsession to park the bus. It's like people haven't even been watching Man City. I accept we won't have the majority of the ball and we will come under pressure but we have plenty of threats to hurt them on the other side so I don't understand why we have to park the bus. Defend strong when we don't have the ball and play our game when we have the ball.

In terms of the league, the pressure is off us right now. We can afford to lose it and still get top 4 quite easily. We have a whole week to prepare for this game while City have a midweek game.

We're quite capable of giving them a good game, given the circumstances. I'm going to be as optimistic as possible and say that we will win the first half and then defend the second half and hope to hang on to the lead. Whichever way it works out, we're not currently capable of performing at a high level over 90 minutes, so at times this could well be a very frustrating game.

Its going to be a cup final for them. Their tinpot fans might actually turn up for this one and it'll most likely be their only full house of the year. Let's ruin it for them!

So many underrating us. Mourinho is the ultimate spoiler for such occasions, watch us eke out a dull boring 0-0, or even better, win a scrappy 1-0.

1-1 for my money. All the build up and tension will be for nothing.
