The main problem is OGS has to sub McT and Fred (red card soon). So Matic and VdB in please, then later maybe Cavani for Pogba.

Diamond works against Leipzig we proceed to use it the very next fixture and the team looks disoriented. Its a result of changing the tactical approach based on the opposition too much rather than building a system that is able to excel individual players. That's why we lack consistency.

Pace and accuracy from out ball work is very poor. Shape of our midfield doesn’t help it appears

Feel like the passing and touch has been very poor, whenever we transition we play a poor pass or a bad touch.

We look a lot different from the team that spanked RB Leipzig

McTominay is lost in the diamond. I remember playing a away against Everton last year and him having a similar issue.

I would push Rashford up top, Bruno coming from the left and a midfield trio of McTominay, Fred and Pogba. If we don't improve, maybe consider Mata for Pogba and revert to 4231.

Positives from that half are still 0-0, and surely we can't be any worse.

We are absolutely atrocious to watch every game irrespective of the result
Newcastle, psg and leipzig? 3 of our last 4 games have been as good as we've been in years.

Need cavani on with rashford coming from left. Take your pick of Bruno or pogba to take off

Ole playing for a draw. No penetrative, no intent, no width, no creative. I guess either we draw or lost. Maybe we should celebrate getting one point off Arsenal.

Good half for Utd really. Seriously, if Arsenal had just a little more quality we could be looking at another Spurs, but they don't and Utd will probably pick up and win the game.

The diamond is not the panacea some hope.

We have been poor in practically every area, only Rashford looks really sharp. However, while it remains 0-0 we can nick this. I am not overly worried knowing what we have on the bench. I find it hard to believe Arsenal can keep up this pressing all game long. Eventually gaps will appear. We just have to be patient and stay in it until then.

Arsenal clearly the better team first half and missed the best chances. United really need to lift their game otherwise they will lose. Defensively both sides are decent, but Arsenal are in full control of the midfield.

People getting their knickers in a twist a bit too much, they had more possession but barely did any more with it, not a single shot on target.

Vdb on for McTominay would be a good move imo, will help us beat that press and play some better passes, as much as I love mct I cant remember him doing anything useful.
Ah, you're a stats guy, rather than a watching the game guy?
Did you miss them head over the bar from a free header from about 6 yards? Or only last ditch defending stopping a couple of other good chances?

Compare this to Greenwood having a decent shot from a tough angle, and we've done well to get in 0-0./

Arsenal have pressed well, I think we are missing Martial's hold-up play and the lack of quality on the ball from McTominay and Fred is an issue. I'd bring Van de Beek on for McTominay or move him to DM and bring Fred off, but we need more on the ball in that RMF role. My guess is we'll take Mason off for Cavani and start hitting balls over the top to the big man.

Painful watching AWB, Lindelof, Maguire & Shaw trying to play out with the ball.

Get Cavani in for Greenwood and VDB for McT. Fecking short passing at snails pace at the back is killing me.

Arsenal are leaving a lot of space due to this very high press, but the players can't seem to find it at all so far. Some tactical tweak needs to be made for sure.

People going overboard because of the 1st half. It's a cagey game, very important for both sides. We have a chance to exploit their overly attacking setup.

Matic & Donny for Fred and McTominay with Bruno going to RCM and Donny behind the front two

Why do we not run anymore? Can’t stand watching us just walk around, so poor, especially when you know we’ll mess up at he back at some point.

We must be the only team who walk so much. Just don’t get it.

Arsenal have pressed however I think both sides haven’t give to much away.

We can’t beat there press and the diamonds prohibitive.

Also they are fouling rashford and Greenwood everytime we get the ball.

We need our wide players recieving the ball at least side on to the goal.

we need to switch formation slightly.

I’d try this before we can make a sub

    —————-pogba————-
    Rashford—Bruno——Greenwood.
    —————Mcred—————————

Pogba can use his strength to occupy the arsenal CBs

Someone please explain to me what fecking position McTominay is playing. Why he is playing as some sort of weird defensive right midfielder who repeatedly gets the ball and goes backwards. Can this please stop immediately.
His lack of offering himself as a pass when Lindelof and Maguire have the ball is maddening. He just stands on the other side of an Arsenal player without trying to find space to offer them a pass.

What's Bruno done? McT? Greenwood? Or is it just the usual Paul Pogba agenda again?
No we’ve just changed a team shape which performs better to bring Pogba in, so we need him as one of the most talented players in Europe to stamp some authority on the game. That’s all. Well within his capabilities.

Need to change the tactics ASAP. We’re too narrow and all our players coming deep to the ball which allows their defence out far too easy.

I’d put Greenwood RW, Pogba LW and Rash through the middle and tell McFred to knock it over the top to get their defence turning, and get us further up the pitch. I’d then look to get Cavani on and push Rash out wide.

We need to do something, we look very poor and are lucky to be drawing at the break.

Their defence is shit scared of Rashford. We need to feed the ball to him in dangerous positions.

Our hold up is lethargic. Better bring on Cavani if he's still strong enough. Mike Dean the cnut ignored most of the faults on our strikers. As usual. We need someone more physical there.

Watching our back 4 trying to get the ball to one of the midfielders is as painful as pulling your nails out!

Feck it, bring Cavani on and go long. We will never get past Arse press in a month of Sundays.
