You say that as if a 10-0 is totally unrealisticWe don’t really have that chance, do we?

The joys of competing at the top again, every game feels like a must win and the pressure just keeps mounting.Every game we play now feels bigger than the last.
We'll go joint-top with a win tonight, can anyone remember the last time that was the case? Me neither. Come on United!
I celebrated the same way the rest if the world did, doesn't mean it wasn't technically incorrect. So you celebrated the new millenium 2001?
Unless they decided to go on a suicide mission Bielsa style, then no. What I would say though is that I feel Liverpool will slip somewhere between now and the derby. So, if we win the Villa and Burnley games (which we should), we will be going at Anfield as the league leaders which is quite mental all things considered and will change whole dynamic around the game. You say that as if a 10-0 is totally unrealistic
Except football doesn't always work like that...which is why it's worth watching.I always find it amusing how the cafe bigs up the opposition before games like this! Yeah, they’re having a good season and have pulled off some superb results, but how many Villa players would get into our team (Grealish at most). If we have the right attitude there is no way we are dropping any points tonight...
Hmm no since our gw 18 game was moved we only have one game before Anfield. As do L’pool. We could be top when we kick off at Anfield, step one of that begins tonight
Wrong, we play twice & they play onceHmm no since our gw 18 game was moved we only have one game before Anfield. As do L’pool.
Ah my bad.Wrong, we play twice & they play once
Fingers crossed, they drop points at SotonAh my bad.
A new decade??Top of the league, what a way to start a new decade!!
2021A new decade??
21-31A new decade??
A decade is simply a 10 year span, irrespective of when it starts and ends.2021
But what if theirs are better than ours?Im happy that chelsea reject is injured. Realistically Villa cant keep up with us. Player New Years resolutions will also have a big effect today.
In terms of literally moving up a spot in the table then no but points wise definitely. The chance to go level on points with the league leaders is massive and something we haven’t managed to do in feck knows how long. This game tonight will let us know how much this team is progressing and whether we’ve gotten over our tendency of bottling results when it really matters. We don’t really have that chance, do we?
They have 2 tough ones though. Depends what side he puts out at Villa. Seeing as they have injuries, it won’t be that weak a sideFingers crossed, they drop points at Soton
Oh nonsense! Nothing galvanises you more than a win. Our defence had little to do so tiredness won’t be an issue.Villa are on a good run, so are we but we have played more games and some of our players look like they need a two week rest.
So I have got a 0-0 feeling about this, but hopefully we can narrowly win it. OG and penalty have been useless for us recently, we need them to step up their game.
Not watched Villa much this season but I assume from their results and table position they’ve played in quite an expansive manner? Hopefully it’s a goalfest with us coming out on topI think this will be a much more open game than wolves. We've played alot but have a decent sized squad and for example lindelof, mctominay, fred, van de beek, martial should all feel quite rested with Greenwood also removed early during the week.
The results we've ground out over this period are a direct consequence of strengthening our depth. There is no chance we have our current points haul with lingard, pereira and ighalo among our go to options
No rest for Penandez and No-skill-Rashford thoughOh nonsense! Nothing galvanises you more than a win. Our defence had little to do so tiredness won’t be an issue.
2 week rest indeed!
Was just talking to a mate of mine about this. I'm really hoping it will be an open game with lots of back and forth, but wouldn't be surprised if they'd setup much more defensively due to our counter-attacking prowess. Not watched Villa much this season but I assume from their results and table position they’ve played in quite an expansive manner? Hopefully it’s a goalfest with us coming out on top
In other seasons we've slipped up trying to get into the top 4.Really should be winning this but we won't. Chance to pull even with Liverpool in points? We have bottled these types of things. Might not even get 1 game as 2nd place because Everton could beat West Ham going 2 points above us before we even play.
I'm with you Solo. This team has been mentally weak for a long time now, hope that win Vs Wolves have them a bit of confidence.I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
Ha that’s quoting Usyk isn’t it?I am feel, I am very feel.
I like your optimism.Really should be winning this but we won't. Chance to pull even with Liverpool in points? We have bottled these types of things. Might not even get 1 game as 2nd place because Everton could beat West Ham going 2 points above us before we even play.
Yeah! Big fan of that man inside and outside the ring!Ha that’s quoting Usyk isn’t it?
