LOLBit harsh on Ibra mate.
LOLBit harsh on Ibra mate.
I'm hoping this is the case as well. If the ref notes in his match report the Ibra incident, he can't be banned for it. What I really want to know is what was the ref talking to Ibra/Rooney about. Though if I have to guess I think the ref has totally missed the stomp, so simply assumed that Ibra's was 100% unintentional and was just jumping, hence a chat about watching your arms while jumping or something silly like that.Interestingly Mings could be in trouble as the ref didn't see it so the FA can take retroactive video evidence action.
He saw Ibra's elbow, or the incident at least, which will go in his report so there shouldn't be further action.
Ibra will do well not to get sent off in the second-half, Bournemouth will be gunning for him.
Thats the silver lining. He probably would do well to sit out a week or two and rejuvenate in time for the run in.Ibra probably needs a little rest anyway so won't be the end of the world if he does get a ban
I'm sure the ref has a digital tape measure installed in his vision to call these decisions correctly. Lets face it, it looked a pen and that's what the ref sees. He doesn't have the added benefit of slow-mo playbacks at different angles.Never a penalty. There is a great angle from behind the goal line showing there is at least 20cm. distance between their legs.
Yep, and tbh, that would have been fun to seeShould be 10 vs 9 then.
Hopefully the ref saw it then!!I haven't seen Alonso's challenge, however Ibra knew what he was doing with that follow through of an elbow. If the ref puts it in his match report that he saw Ibra clash with his elbow, then I don't believe a retrospective ban is in play. But this is Ibra and The FA, it should be a 3 match ban.
Look at the replay. Very difficult for him to see that with bodies in the way, and he's watching where the ball is.Mings should have been sent off for that stamp.
If the ref had done his job, Ibra would not have elbowed him.
Sadly, this common sense wont apply to retrospective banning.
Watching another channel, but I think a lot of footballers absolutely despise what Mings did. Occasionally you end up on the ground for some reason or another, and you always expect people to step around you - Mings stamped on a defenceless player. I'm not saying Zlatan is a saint by any means (already said they both deserve bans in another post), but every sport has these massive "don'ts" and I'm pretty sure deliberately stamping on a player who's on the ground is one of football's.Fair play to both Carragher and Henry for telling it like it is. I think Carragher wants to elbow Mings himself
I agree, I know Ibra has been good for us but sometimes he takes time to get going in certain matches. He should have buried those 2 chances easily for a player of his caliber.Should have been 3 or 4 goals up by now. Wasted chances again. We need to be ruthless in front of goal.
As I said before. If Mings had gone off as he should have. Ibra would not have elbowed him.The common sense would be to ban them both.
So, you'd punish someone's cowardly action, by an even more cowardly one of kicking them on the floor? If I was Ibra, and woukdn't have waited for the chance to get my own back on the cnut....I reckon I'd have just got up and just absolutely nutted him....And then when he was on the floor just keep kicking the shit out of him until someone dragged me away....After what the cnut did, that'd be worth a four match ban.
We will.Please win this.
Na thats bollocks, he had a look to see where to put his foot then looked away to make it look innocent.Yeah, looking at this again it looks more reckless and clumsy rather than malicious. He should have apologized immediately though.
Actually i would. Don't judge what i would or not would think thought police. These types of penalties look bad when the defender takes the standing leg of the forward after sudden change of direction. The fall is rapid hence the "easy" call. In this case there was literally no contact from Jones, so yeah...I'm sure you would think the exact same if we got that penalty.
I doubt it. United players have been getting away with it all season. Why should it change ?That elbow will put Ibra to a 3 games ban, probably.
He touches him with his foot, tiny little nibble I think.Does Zlatan stamp on the Bournemouth player just before he gets up and stamps on Zlatans head? Anyone else spot that?
Look at the BBC websiteWatch this all get spun into Zlatan getting away with a red card and lucky Man Utd FA are corrupt style headlines.
The guardian have already changed their lead photo of the minute by minute coverage to a photo of Zlatan elbowing that cnut.
It wouldn't have happened, so yes. I like how people in their sofas are so calm after having their head stamped, pretty impressed. Not half as much as a stamp to the head....
Ref saw it so he can't be banned no?Zlatan will almost definitively get banned for 3 games now. If he does, will he miss the Chelsea match?
Yep, you can see it now.Watch this all get spun into Zlatan getting away with a red card and lucky Man Utd FA are corrupt style headlines.

It will for the FA CupIbra probably needs a little rest anyway so won't be the end of the world if he does get a ban
when?Zlatan stamped Mings first. Looked like it was on purpose as well.
Looked intentional to me. He looked at Ibra before stamping on him, he could have easily jumped over had he wanted to.Actually I don't think Mings stamp was intentional. Does he really want to be on Ibra's bad side???
It isn't over just yet mate,Typical utd. Not killing the game when there is chances to do it, and let others to come back and end up draw
