He'll get himself in bother trusting this lot. He got to be given time but eredivisie finest is not enough for the EPL and he needs to realise this quickly.
Agree. Massive step up in quality from Dutch League to EPL. We’ve already screwed up with Donny and we need to stop just buying players ETH knows. Scouts and management need to their jobs now, and urgently. ETH won’t be the first to underestimate this league but we need to identify the right targets. Right now I’m not sure that FDJ would even cut it here. Today was chalk and cheese from the pre-season games.

There's too much to in 3 weeks to get us to top 4 after watching that. Need 6 players pal, and not back up options like arnautovic either but top class ones. We will be lucky to get 2.
    Yeah it's looking grim.

Dreadful display by UTD, starting where they left off last season.

I can't believe ETH thinks that FDJ is the only midfielder good enough to oust either Fred or McTominay from our midfield & that a 34yo WHU reject should be our new star striker!

Oh My God what a collateral waste of time that game was. Brighton totally deserved the victory. I was totally right when I earlier said that it is not about the coach with these guys, it's these useless players. They just cannot take information and implement it. I thought nothing had changed and I was nervous before the game because in the last 3 pre season games, I saw the signs of the game being dead slow again and when I saw Maguire slowing things down in the first few mins, I knew we'd struggle. These idiotic players think that if they slow the game down, they can have more control over the game but instead they invite pressure on and lose possession. Mctominay and Dalot were in particular horrible. There were at least 5 to 6 occasions in the first 30 mins where he could've passed the ball forward to Sancho but he kept going backwards, WHAT A TOOL! McFred needs to stop! RIGHT NOW! They're an abomination to football. Rest were bad too and collectively we were very poor. ETH needs to change or add new players. Need to get rid of these players ASAP. It is a process and we fans are willing to wait as long as he is backed or we'll keep protesting on and offline.

We cant defend. We have defenders who cant defend and collectively we dont follow instructions as a team to allow us to even look solid.

We are always reacting, never anticipating danger and always so so sluggish with and without the ball.

Not a great start for ETH, as we looked quite sharp in pre-season.

Brighton are a decent outfit, well drilled, Potter is brilliant but come on...we should be out working them and not looking so lethargic.

If we play McTominey we are a man down instantly. Man's a joke of a footballer.

Gentle reminder that Varane was on the bench. We cannot defend at all, individually or collectively yet a Champions league winning CB is sat on his arse on the bench. Mental.

De-Gea is also not fit for a ETH team, he cannot pass out. ETH wants to play out, dominate possession and build from the back. How can you do that with De-Gea? Man's afraid to step off his line and just lumps it if an opposition player is within 20yards of him. The amount of times, 1st half especially De-Gea went long when we are playing a Central Midfielder up front was mental. What did we expect to happen, Eriksen to win headers against 3 Brighton defenders yeah?

We have shown promise in pre season with the youngsters, we looked to be playing with enthusiasm and freedom. In a game that matters it's back to McFred to stink the place out yet again

We've learnt McFred wont cope it. We knew that anyway. What a waste of a game
