Really big game, but I have no confidence that we will come out of it with anything.

Just hopeful that it will be a good time to play Brighton after the international break. There is no logic to this, just hopeful.

So now both Antony and Sancho are not available for this game or for the forseeable future anyways. If only Amad wasn't injured. He could have a serious stake to claim that right wing. Well, Pellistri's time to shine. Hope he takes it.

If we have Martinez, Amrabat and Hojlund then we have more than a chance of beating them convincingly but we probably won't have Amrabat or Martinez.

It's really tough trying to predict the front 3 now.

Rashford for sure, 1 of Martial/Hojlund, and then who for the final spot? One of Garnacho, Pellistri, McTominay or Amrabat (with Erickson moved forward and Bruno out right).

I really hope we won't see Martial starting before Hojlund. Not now, not ever again
The club payed a lot of money for the kid, he's played very well for Denmark, I wish to believe he could be one of the positive aspects of this season which started badly in every sense

Held Brighton scoreless in 120 minutes in the FA Cup semi final last season with a back four of Wan Bissaka, Shaw, Lindelof, Dalot. Could have done with the option of Shaw this time instead of been forced to play Maguire.

Sancho news today no surprise, not sure how some thought he'd feature in this match. Martial still at the club just highlights how poorly run the club are.

I'm sorry but it's an absolute disgrace that we still have the likes of him in our squad. Window after window and he's still playing games for us. When not on the sick bench.
Spot on. I know it is not a true companion, but you see the awful treatment an honest player like Maguire gets then we have the waste of space of all waste of spaces Martial.
    And that is an understatement.

Based on last season this could well be decided in 95th minute again.

Think problem for you guys is you can just about put out a decent 11 but v this type of opponent you need 2-3 decent options off the bench to keep the intensity up.

Given the exiled wide players that means Garnacho has to start (if he isn't jet lagged) and if Martial has cried off again basically means the only attacking option you'll have in the 9 subs will be Pellestri who's very inexperienced at prem level.

Funnily enough this is actually a game where you need Mount as impact sub, not sure on whether he's in contention for this?

Brighton will start with Ferguson if he's available and then they have Welbeck to throw on after 60 minutes who will run all day and create space for Mitoma and Estupianian down the left.

I think at best you get a 1-1 here, wouldn't shock me if Brighton won at Old Trafford for second time in just over 12 months.

I believe Martial was just dopey and turned up at the wrong time...but its kinda telling instead of staying and doing some exercise he choose instead to get back in his car and go back home haha.

I don’t think ETH is going to throw in Pellistri. I think he will be rather safe in terms of the personnel he is going to be pick.

    Onana
    AWB
    Lindelof
    Martínez
    Dalot
    Eriksen
    Casemiro
    Fernandes
    Rashford
    Hojlund
    Garnacho

Rasmus is the obvious one to come into the team, I’m sure Rashford will be pushed wide right to cover for Antony/Sancho not being available and Garnacho coming into the team. Medium term i expect Bruno might move out there if Amrabat/Mount can earn a place in that team, but think Saturday will come too soon for that.

We really need a win right now. I hope the team is mentally strong enough to bounce back.

No way Garnacho starts. He's our only hot option from the bench.

So many waiting for us to screw up on Sunday so the pile on continues. The Internet will be a very depressed place if we come away with an easy victory.

I see us winning this unconvincingly and thus raising expectations that we’ve turned a corner. That is the United way. We flatter to deceive.

Hat trick from mini Messi incoming!
He's never been a goalscorer so I don't expect him to score a hattrick anyways. The bar for him to impress is so low that if he can get to the byline and provide a couple of cutbacks, he's already better than Sancho.

This week is going to be brutal, think we haven’t reached our bottom yet. See back to back defeats and potentially a third against a no doubt Vincent Kompany inspired, pumped up Burnley.

Innit it's almost like that's what they want.

I think Rashford, Hojlund, Bruno (RW), Eriksen (#10) is the most likely. It's a big game, he won't give Pellistri the nod.

Hopefully Mount is back. We seem to be really really unlucky this year.

Presser today should be interesting if we get the right questions about availability and don't focus on Sancho/ Maguire which nobody really cares

Nervous week ahead to say the least...EtH and the club need to big performances. I just feel the amount of injuries currently makes it even more difficult.

A win and a draw in Germany will be just what the doctor ordered.

Is Amrabat in contention? I worry we'll get completely overrun in midfield against this lot with Eriksen in there with Casemiro.
