    Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
The only good players he has is the starting lineup. He has managed them well and hence we've been on a good unbeaten run. He isn't the cure to cancer.
No he isn't. But has he managed them well or have they simply gelled well with Bruno and he's now running them into the ground?

The next two games will require good management and coaching. Both are important but certainly winnable games, so Ole will have the perfect chance to turn this around.

Maguire looked knackered today, matic AWB rashford too. .. I like Brandon Williams but with him being right footed he is always playing backwards and inside and we lack balance on the left.

I think today shows we need another centre back , another mobile midfielder and another player who can make something happen and move forward with the ball.
Which is what any sensible person will already know. Sancho plus a CB and a press resistant midfielder would make the world of difference to this team and as still have time to make that happen. I’m honestly not arsed at all by this result, I’m just concerned we can’t get back up again vs West Ham.

Yes and we need to reflect on that and do something about for next season

The FA cup though I’d love to win it, is not our number one priority. We need to qualify for the UCL
Get 3 quality players in. I think Henderson should be considered for number 1 now. As much as I like DDG, he looks as though his head is elsewhere. A ruthless coach would drop him after this and Ole needs to show some balls
I agree and with the Spurs result today we really have no excuses not to get CL. A bonus would be winning the Europa and something I would pick over FA cup for sure, but playing like that, we have very little chance.

If we can get Sancho and a couple of others we will look strong going into next season and I will be as happy a fan as I have been in a long time.

Hopefully we can get some money in by selling Lingard and co and bring back Henderson as number one for his chance to shine. DDG needs real competition.

Today was shite but as said the Spurs result hasn't made the day a total waste of time. Now on to West Ham, who I despise so hopefully we can batter them and go into Leicester game knowing a point will be enough.

Yeah but welcome to the PL circa 2020.

There’s been a palpable drop in quality this year. Liverpool have hardly been that great but they’ve been helped by everyone bar City being mid table mediocrity
City ain’t been that great either.

We made a boat load of mistakes in one game. We just need to learn from our mistakes.

    Williams looks fecked out there.

    Silly management from OGS.

TFM should have started. Romero should have started.
I assumed Romero would start, but only because he's regularly been the choice for cup matches. Ole couldn't legislate for DDG's errors today, it wasn't a matter of tiredness in his case, whereas it was for others.
TFM looked good against Palace and I was pleased for him, as most people probably never expected him to feature this season. Problem is, that was his first first team football match in 16 months only three days ago and he was almost certainly knackered afterwards. Don't know I would say silly management, but Ole's selection did backfire on him today and part of it was his fault. But then, I used to sometimes fault some of SAF's selections.

Feck sake Phil Neville claiming Maguire couldn't have done anything about the OG but De Gea should have saved it.

Was he supposed to expect his centre half to take a shot on him?

Usually they get back into though. In those cases we have our best team out and they get us back into the game and ahead. We didn't have our best team out. It usually goes off the boil again when he brings the subs on.
I know, my main worry is we always start shite no matter what team we put out.

Forget trusting. This is pure stupidness, when you know you have two games in quick successive and playing players that are needed badly. Why did Bruno play the full 90 minutes is even more dumb then ever.
Well he thinks Bruno is superfit and unbreakable. Maybe true to an extent, but it would be nice to have had a fresh Bruno against west ham, which is OUR title decider in many ways.

Top four is critical for our summer spending/finances

I guess OGS really doesn't trust Lingard and Perreira anymore. Lingard is probably out of the club this summer.

Not when we're having to play so many games with such little rest between them.
Yea even then. We have literally 3 games left and have just had 3 months rest. This is not the time to change the tactics or starting XI, unless of course you are happy to lose the game. No one looked at that starting XI and formation and thought United would win today, so why then bring on all your best players. Very naive.

Get angry and take it out on West Ham. I hope ..... sigh ....
They have nothing to play for and will play with Antonio up front with the two wide players in support to hit us on the counter.
We need to start on the front foot not fanny about

Nope. League fecked us again, we play Wednesday. Which will be us on 2 days rest and our opponent on 4 days rest again. But according to Fat Frank and The Bitter One we get all the decisions and are lucky.
Yes the referee had a poor game today and the 48hrs less recovery time also played a part. Even with that and the DeGea errors, we didnt deserve anything from the game though. We were sloppy under the press, unimaginative in attack without Fernandes at his best and over ran in midfield.

See many saying Ole got the selection wrong before the game. I do agree with this, but at the same time, who is he meant to play instead? He is trying to put out a strong side to win the game whilst still resting some players. The problem is as large as our squad is, it is also weak. Our first eleven isnt complete, our second eleven is piss poor in several areas and a lot of these players need to go if we are goin gto allow ourselves to invest as we need to.

Also the drop in form of our defence the last few games in concerning. DeGea making errors consistently, Bissaka has been poor the last three games and I am a big fan of his, both centre backs have been poor too.

Three is a lot to be positive this season improvement wise, but we still have a long long way to go to have a side that will compete for the title. When you look at the squads of Liverpool/City and see they have two good options for every position, can you say the same with us?

I would say we do at full back both sides (especially with Laird to come through). I would say maybe Pogbas role with Fred n McTominay....thats it. COncerns over the keeper, we still dont have a centre back partnership of quality (Tuanzabe injury problems a worry), there is no cover for Matic who has been consistent the last 7/8 months, but his poor form before it makes me not 100% convinced for next year, there is absolutely nobody to replace Fernandes and if any of our front three are injured, the replacements are a huge step down in quality

We'll they're as daft as Ole then.
Wish we would have rested him, but you can hear the the howls of derision if we had. Given how important he's been for us, I can see why Ole has taken the risk, but we do have to learn to play without him sometimes and trust players who've done well for us like Fred and Scott.

Even during our great run, are you convinced by us playing out from the back? We look bad. Secondly, since restart we have not played counter attack football, we actually played possession football and started to zip around better. Then all of a sudden, last three games we reverted back to counter attack. Ole does this and that and that and this. No style.
You must counter the high pressing opponent, the ball possesion is useless if you can't penetrating. Playing from the back is not really Ole's style, our defenders did that to accomodate Pogba's deep possesion.

The real Ole's style is we will score more than you, but we don't have enough quality on our squad players, so we have to play the same starting xi.

    It was a wicked deflection.
DDG fecked us with the second. There was no coming back

If we had kept Ashley Young we would have had a defensively solid LB to play in this game. Instead we have 2 million pounds and a LB who is a defensive liability with some offensive spark.

Terrible decision to start him, his defensive frailty has been apparent this whole time.

Sod that. Top four is all that matters. Sack OGS if we don't get it. It will be on him.

I am not dismissing that, and i admit I overlooked it. However, you cannot keep using that as a sole reason. There will be many times in football where we have less rest. We did it all season with three days breaks against teams that have 7. It is just football and if you want to be a top team, you need to accept it.
Liverpool had sent their kids to lose in this tournament. Even Klopp himself said he didn't accepted it, but They still a top team right?

At least Ole respects the FA Cup like another English manager.

I own a TV, i asked a question, explain me Ole brand of football. Really simple really, called a debate and i would like to see the reaction of everyone who claims they know. So easy to say we have been outstanding. I dont think operationally, i think strategically and thats what i do for a living. So again, explain me your view of this brand? Dont give me childish responses.
Well it’s called observation. You look through your eyes and ascertain what you see.

We have been free scoring, conceding few. First loss and the knives are out.

We play with a growing press against teams with a fluid front three in a relatively fixed formation each game. The style is there to see pal.

If you can’t find the answers yourself in an unbeaten run of 20 games then I can’t help you.

There again Henderson isn't playing behind our defence. He is playing behind a very well coached defence.
United have a group of talented footballers.
But well coached they are not.
I struggled to see any obvious pattern of play today.
If the objective was to score goals, defend as a unit and win the semi final, there was little or no evidence of that.

This has been coming. Some of the recent wins that the press have been in raptures about were not that convincing and after a parade of canon fodder teams, we’ve come up against a decent one and haven’t been able to perform a smash and grab this time. There is still a lot of work to do.

Sorry about the slow reply, had to get in the car and go home. Not using it as an excuse either, just like Ole, and you, are sayingn; games come thick and fast at this club, and you better get used to it, cause it means you’re doing well. Only reason i commented it was because you said Utd/Chelsea were «in the same boat», when we clearly weren’t. Some of it down to fixture setup, and some of it down to squad management.

This is what I worry about given the exact same thing happened last year and our form imploded.

If we already get top 4 why would you prefer Europa over FA Cup
It is a second rate competition with no history whatsoever

Europa League would bring us top seed for the CL next year, so why not?
