Much better, but still not good enough.

Chelsea had the better chances, but we had consistently better control of the possession game and created enough chances to have scored at least one. But we still can't fukkin score.

Rooney must be dropped really. He lost it big time. Unfortunately we couldn't win but this set of players have slightly proven today that they can play really good football. If only we have the right man to motivate and coach them.

After that first half, I could tell this was going to happen. So much space to work with, so much freedom, so many options against a passive Chelsea side who were there for the taking and we still drew a blank. Who cares about "encouraging performances" and "avoided defeat"? We needed a win from that today against such a bad team and we still didn't put Courtois under enough pressure. Yes, we tested him a few times but frankly we didn't test him enough. This was like Playboy before the watershed, all foreplay and no penetration.

I'm quite frankly sick of this now. He has to go. 10 points from 27, 10 goals in our last 13 games. Out of the cups. Will we even beat Sheffield United highly doubtful?

How anyone can be pleased with that against a team 10 points worse off than us at home who are also missing three key players.

I just hope we can get to 40 points soon! we are that level of team right now.

Definitely better, but our transitional still needs work. Plenty of times when our centre backs had the ball, or even our centre mids, and instead of going forward, we dwell on it for like 5 seconds then go back. We really need to improve it, because teams know they can set up with 10 men behind the ball and more than likely keep a clean sheet. Yes, we created some chances, especially in the first half, but really need to learn to work it better, in order for us to get into better positions. Chelsea were there for the taking today.

Again you misquote. My I give up was taking the piss out of you.
A small Improvement I'm happy about but you are trying to reframe my point. MS has been excellent defensively but i merely pointed out that for us to improve and him be a United player he needs to do more in possession.
You didn't answer my question which was are you happy with what he does in possession. If you think he could do more then we agree. If you think he is doing well in possession then fine. I know where your level lies.
Now, I'm off to read some more of your posts to get a footballing education...of how to continue to slide like go scousers
If you want to be pedantic then let's be pedantic. A 'misquote' is when I quote something you didn't say, what you're referring to is a misinterpretation which is exactly what you've currently displaying wonderfully, its become painfully obvious you can't see when I'm taking the piss out of you. It wouldn't be suprising if I did misinterpret what you've said though, perhaps try reading what you've written before posting. And for the love of god could you stop referring to the level of expectation of our club in relation to Liverpool? You sound like a school child. Of course I expect a club of the magnitude and history of United should be performing better than they currently are, what I don't expect is for us to magically dominate in Europe again, try and have a bit of perspective in regards to our currently situation, get your head out of the clouds.

I think his lack of offensive play is more than compensated for by his defensive ability, that's why we have specific roles for specific players, guess you skipped that in your 'football education'. In our current state Schneiderlin is the least of our problems.

I genuinely don't know how I feel about the whole situation - the players looked arsed for once in a bazillion years and yet we seem to have dropped 2 points against a bang average Chelsea squad.
At this rate, I feel we don't deserve CL footy.

I'm far from being a school child but thanks for your appraisal.
You think it makes up and that is fine. I know where you stand. Will no doubt speak over the coming seasons and we'll see where he ends up ay.

With our current performances, we ain't good enough even for Europa.

True. If I remember it correctly, there was a thread which said "are we becoming Liverpool" and I think we're about as close as it can get right now to becoming Liverpool - we talk about our "history" (success during SAF's tenure), our best players leave seeking greener pastures and we'll be left with average squad players who by virtue of there being no serious competition continue to be first team players... the list goes on!

Thanks for the affirmation, I was finding it difficult to know if you were or not. Again you're completely ignoring context but that doesn't suprise me.

Oh and sorry I missed something. Can you point out where I say we should be magically dominating Europe again? I asked the question would Barca or Madrid have a midfielder so lacking in possession. That is hardly expecting us to magically dominate Europe haha.
Surely me just pointing out that MS needs to up his work rate in possession is not unreasonable? The fact you have "misrepresented" my points and indeed tried to put words in my mouth is overreacting.
Now... Can we discuss the far more thought provoking and enlightening "how the feck did that not go in"
It just leaves me perplexed...you really have made an interest point that even the great LVG must be mulling over. Like I said...I need to check up what other inane..sorry, footballing genius comments you have made.

You did but it was clear to everyone who was the better team.
Yeah it was. The fact that we had the better chances though despite being so shit should be cause for concern for United.

Seriously?! You're comparing us to the European champions, a team that dominates in Europe. How do you not understand this? I'm struggling to converse with you here, you don't seem to understand what you're saying yourself. You also seem to be under the assumption every post in the match day thread needs to be 'thought provoking', I'm going to give you a minute to scan through the match day thread and you might spot a post or two similar to mine. Good attempt shifting the conversation away though, lets stick to the point shall we?

    Context hahaha.. Says you..
Erm yeah? Nice to see we've moved on from 'I give up' to typing hahas, you're on to a winner.

I am comparing us to the top clubs in Europe. That is our goal. I don't know what goal you're going for.
For us to attain that position needs players capable of playing at that level. We either buy players that can or we develop players that can.
Now I'm glad you want to stick to the point as its a first for you.
For us to develop means players like MS have to develop. Yes? No?
He is excellent in defence but lacks mobility, positioning and speed of passing in possession. If you don't think he needs to then we will agree to disagree.

 very logical response. Coming from a guy who told me to turn of my TV and and play my Xbox if I didn't like what I was seeing. I think maybe you should "grow up" and understand football a bit more. There's a reason I knew this match was going to be a bore like that and you didn't.

Can't believe how bad Chelsea are playing, the fact we didn't win that game is a bad mark on us. They actually settled for 0-0 from kick off!
