Come on guys, it's too early to tell what Rangnick's management of the squad will be. He has barely got to know the players. It'll be bonkers to think he'd strip slabhead of his captaincy and drop McFred in his first game in charge.

Nothing changes even though Ralf has seen our last games haha! return of McFred and Maguire stays as captain

So much for the hype over Rangnick stamping his authority over this team straight away and giving players like Martial and Donny a fair crack of the whip.

    Disappointed.
    Such Drama queen!

He's been with the team for 5 minutes.

What am more interested in is how much forward would he use his fullbacks, how narrow would the front four play and weather Fred and mctominay can be effective as the base of our attack when we push forward.

No one expected “radical” changes, and of course it’s sensible to take all the time required to make sure Shaw and Varane are fit, but it is a bit of a surprise to see both of Fred and McTominay to get the start against a Palace side that’s out of form.
They are a team we seem to have problems against, so it will show Ralf if it is a team problem or an Ole problem. As lots have said I expect changes during the week. He will want to see what they all offer.

Desperate for a win here. I think we'll get it but people who are expecting a complete change of style in 24 hours need to be a bit more realistic.

Felt the team would be the same. Let's give Ralf a few weeks, I expect McTominay to be out of the team very soon.

He should never play for United again.

Rashford is back on the left. That's pretty radical imo

Only problem I have is Rashford. How does he deserves to start ahead of Greenwood? Continues to be garbage but gets selected anyway.

With only couple of training sessions under RR didn't expect any changes in personnel or formation. How we approach the game will be more interesting i.e. if our defence pushes up and how quickly we move the ball. I for one am very optimistic about the next 6 months.

It's become very common and seems very difficult to stop. Happened with Chelsea yesterday as well. Liverpool haven't managed to stop it in years.
I was going to ask if other clubs have the same problem and you've answered it, so thanks!

I'm glad it's not just United that have this problem and its one that'll be hard to get rid of as there's so much riding on team selections nowadays.

The fact that RR hasn't been a manager in the last 2 years makes me a bit jittery.

Only in this forum would people think a manager would make wholesale changes after 3 days with the squad, one which was a rest day and one that’s game day.

You know he had like one training with the team, right?

I don’t really get what people expected to change, he basically picked the only fit defenders we have, the only two centre midfielders we have.

He’s been here 48 hours, he isn’t about to kick Fred in the bollocks and take the armband from Maguire

Fair enough, but I have my doubts that McFred are the solution that Palace present us. But the benefit of the doubt has to go to the new boss.

I doubt he had any time to do much with the team. Going with the same team feels logical. We'll have to wait a little bit before he has enough time to implement his ideas.
Yes my thoughts exactly. Hes had one actual training session according to the media. He doesnt know the players well enough yet. Easy option to pick a team who havent lost in 3 games and build from there. Lets see how his in game tactics/subs work.

Knew that we should stick with Carrick at the wheel.

Good lineup, we still need time but Im pretty sure we'll come out good at the end of season if Ralf doesn't decide to radically change our game play in middle of season

It was one of the most predictable line ups this season.

I didn't expect big changes, but not even to have 1 or 2 changes is funny.

Ralf is a big fan of Oleball

According to Ralf Martial and Lingard felt a little bit of pain after yesterday's training.

He met the players for the very first time on Friday. Of course he isn’t going to change the team. Young boys will see him play with it more, as we’re already qualified.

he won’t play these players for the 90.
