I don't have a good feeling about tomorrow - hope I'm wrong mind.
have the same feeling, our goal mostly from Rashford, and now Garnacho is injured and Antony doubtful, I can see anyone can score except Bruno?

Also we don't have many set pieces goal, biggest threat actually is Cas header but now he is suspensed too.
Yeah not feeling too confident. It's incredibly hard to continue to compete on so many fronts so deep into the season, there is normally some point where you just have a bad day/bad luck that derails the run. Portsmouth in 2008 being the classic example, and also the following season when we went out on penalties to Everton in the semis. It happens, it won't be the end of the world and we should be prepared for it.
Why is it every game we play there’s comments like these ? I reckon if we were playing Newport County tomorrow they’d be comments like above . Not having a go at you posters but In general .
We are at home . Our record is fantastic there.
Relax lads we are going back to Wembley :D

Its a common trend for years. Followed by in matchday thread we will get people sulking when the game 0-0. Piss on the players throughout the game irrespective of the result. Also moaning ETH to make a sub. Rinse repeat 3 days later

You expressed a feeling, not an opinion.

An opinion is a judgement not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. You made no judgement but just asserted you have a "bad feeling"

It borders into the realm of superstition to be honest. As the poster said, it seems to be every game that these "bad feeling" posts occur and by the law of averages eventually the naysayers will be proved correct.....as long as they ignore the numerous times that previously their "bad feelings" have amounted to nothing.

Not picking holes in you personally, just commenting on the issue. Its something I've noticed happening with regularity over the last few seasons.

I am of the strong, well-informed opinion that we may not win this game today.

This is completely different behaviour from feeling pessimistic going into games.

That’s what being a football fan is largely about though isn’t it? Getting caught up in the emotion of the occasion, harboring irrational superstitions and fears based on past disappointments that left their mark on your psyche. I was ten when we blew the domestic treble by losing 3-1 to Aston Villa in the Coca-Cola Cup final in 1994 when we were far and away the best team in the country, I still feel it to this day and it’s the kind of thing that shapes how I approach these occasions.

Surely none of us here approach every match in a cold, calculating, purely rational, statistical manner? If they do I think they’re missing out a part of what makes being a fan so special.

I clean my house every game day as once in the early 2000’s I refused to clean my room when my mother told me to and we lost badly. Next weekend cleaned my room and we won.

Now 20 years on I make sure my house is spotless every game day.

Now excuse me whilst I go hoover under my couch.

Our house is clean top to bottom so things should go well today. 4-2 win.

Pretty certain that de Gea, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Fred, Sabitzer, Bruno, Rashford and Weghorst will start. It's just the Right Back slot and either Right Wing or another CB potentially which I'm unsure of (Bruno RW and Maguire starting with Martinez as a CDM).

I'd fancy Wan-Bissaka to be given the start, as Dalot will likely get minutes on international duty anyway to get back up to full speed.

Couldn't care less top four is the priority, these competitions have negatively influenced the league form. Shaw already stated that the team lost focus after winning the cup, there's not enough depth to contend. Top four is essential for the preparations of the following season and earmarking the manager and teams progress.
Getting bored of these posts. Winning trophies is the priority.

We can secure CL football next season in just five more games by winning the EL, for which we are heavily the bookies’ favourites. We can win the FA cup in just three more games including today, and we’re clear second-favourites for that too.

Both of those would go much, much further in earmarking the manager and team’s progress than a top four finish.

We can go for both. We've a good squad. If we win this game, we night have a handy semi final opponent

I think Maguire will start instead of Martinez. Martinez deserves a good rest before international games. Varane isnt with France anymore, so he will play.

Maybe Malacia over Shaw too. Some players have had way to many games. Eg. Rashford and Bruno

Oooh this needs a thread. For me, I refuse to wear a kit on the day of a match. Back in 1999, I bought and wore our home kit the same day Chelsea beat us 5-0 (Taibi in goal). Since then I refused to wear a kit on matchday. A couple of years later, my brother had just bought a kit the week before Di Canio's goal knocked us out of the FA cup (Barthez in goal, waving for offside, the idiot). He knew and had laughed about my superstitions but followed suit after that result.

Experiment ahead of the next 3 Prem games.
I would love to see this. I wonder why having seen Martinez ball control under press, tenacity, and being a pure baller that he isn't considered in the Casemiro cover position. I am more curious than anything to see it in action.

Mostly due Maguire or Lindelöf have been injured or ill and unavailable.

Why play our best centre half in midfield when we have fit central midfielders in Fred, Bruno, Sabitzer and Mctominay. Even Mainoo?
Well we have seen our issues when Casemiro isn't available so i suppose having tried others in his position, I for one, would be interested in seeing if the drop off is limited by trying Martinez in that position for at least one game.

Yeah its not going to be pretty.. I'm fearing our midfield more than Fulham will. Hopefully Rashy shows his excellence again.

It's an opinion based on the number of games we've played, the injuries we've amassed, the suspensions, and the way we've played recently. You can take a look at my history to see the "bad feeling posts" almost never occuring before you try and pigeonhole me with your "anal isis". Oh and please do fak off

ETH already confirmed Martial won’t be available. Antony is a maybe.
I know that fecking guy must be made of glass , injured all the time, Garnacho out as well. Pellistri has to come in now Elanga as well . Attacking options are getting limited.

Great comments about the “bad feeling” posts. We as members of the human race can’t help how we feel so bed setters will do what they must, but in the absence of some observed event that you can articulate (such as a possible new manager bounce for the opposing team and so on) it’s usually best to use one’s power of reason to reach a conclusion as to the likeliest outcome of the match.

Surprises happen all the time, but a win for United looks likely. Stronger side, better manager, at home. We’ve already lifted a trophy.
