    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    Pogba - Fred
    Greenwood - Fernandes - Rashford
    Martial

Subs: VdB - McTominay - Cavani

    MUFC 3 - 1 Leeds

Three changes from midweek. If they can get off to a good start, this is a more solid defense for a faster opponent. They will score, but we will hold them with a stronger attack than against Sheffield United. The monkey is off of Martial's back and Cavani will be ready to sub in with 10 or 15 minutes to go.

I'd imagine de Gea, Shaw and Fred all return. The rest might be pretty much the same, with Cavani on the bench. Only other question is probably McTominay or Pogba... I think it'll be Pogba.

I would like to see Shaw, Cavani and VDB start.

Front three of Rashford, Cavani and Martial.

Nah. I trust what I saw. Thanks all the same though
Then i honestly don't understand how you can't see how Telles continues to struggle with his positioning when we're defending. It was the same against West Ham and Leipzig, he doesn't know when to fall off and when to pressure, he gets dragged in towards Maguire and leaves space in behind for the opposition.

This had got 0-4 first half, 4-4 full time written all over it.

Telles certainly gets caught out of position. The play before their second goal came because he let the attacker over lap him with ease, he made the recovery challenge and that's what resulted in the corner.

His tackling and recoveries are good, but positioning is definately not what it needs to be compared to how Shaw stations himself.

I wouldn’t concern yourself with my opinion mate. Let’s move on

I wouldn't risk leaving Pogba alone in a two man defensive block. That might cause us some trouble.

Bielsa surely isn't blind, he knows our weak spots. They'll pressure the feck out of our midfield with Pogba in it.

If we must play him (i wouldn't, but i could agree to), then we must play Mctominay and Fred behind him.

That would mean sacrificing Greenwood and playing both Bruno and Pogba forward.

Good point. I could see Van de Beek instead of Pogba. I think VdB just had problems getting into the rhythm last night. On the other hand, Pogba's had two fairly good games in a row... do we want to risk a third?

If he's physicaly up to it, i wouldn't mind him in the lineup, just not in a double cm position.

You could argue that Fred is way more mobile then Matić, ergo, could cover more ground, but still....i have a feeling Bielsa could target that area.

It's not like we have a small amount of week spots in defence as it is, yet i still wouldn't find it comfortable.

I doubt Ole is gonna give VDB a starting spot anytime soon...

If we start like we have been recently, a clinical Leeds team could score 3 before we know it. Be nice if we could start well for a change and stop pissing about and conceding quickly.

Quite worried about this game :nervous:
Defensively they are absolutely shite and the gaps and spaces they leave I’d expect Rashford and co to tear into. Though as it’s such a huge game for them I expect their defensive levels to be a lot better.

Going forward theyre quite relentless, lost a bit a few weeks back but were back to it at Newcastle. If we start as we’ve been starting games this could get messy early on and we might need another one of our comebacks.

Deffo have to go Mctominay and Fred due to the pace of the game, the need to press resist and the positions Rodrigo and Rafinha pick up in particular. This is almost definitely not a game for Pogba or/and Matic.
I’m pretty confident at least though that we’ll end our run of no goals at home from open play.
Really, really don’t wanna lose to these cnuts. I still feel we owe them one at Old Trafford from that disastrous FA Cup game.

Leeds have lost more than they've won. People tend to think that they are better than they are because of Bielsa. Im expecting a comfortable win, so no doubt it'll be anything but that.

Many people here overestimate Leeds so much. Guys, they are not a Barcelona, why so many worries?

We will end up winning this one but will probably be a big score 5-3 something like that

Well we just played a winless Sheff United who have been trash all season and we made such a massive meal out of the game.
Were a team designed to be unpredictable, plus Leeds will be in cup final mode.

I grew up hating Leeds United. Don Revie era especially.
I loved seeing them relegated, and the joke they quickly became.
But then I realised I was missing something not having that rivalry
But it does not feel like they are the Leeds United I hated anymore .
Hope we stuff them, can’t wait to hate them again.
    Thankyou for
    Big Joe
    Gordon
    The king
    Ferdinand
    Smithy
    and more.

Watched him a lot in Portugal then? Can't help but feel you're basing this on a couple of appearances for us this season. This he's fine defensively. Not as good as Shaw, but a lot better going forward.
I'm basing it on his performances for Manchester United.
If he sorts it out, for Manchester United, superb.

Meanwhile, i'll prefer him not starting against oppositions that will be keen to attack us.

Their grotesque fans haven't been travelling to other cities or on your tv. Once those scumbags are visible again the hatred will flow back
Absolutely. But not hard to find on their fan forum.
Not only are they a really weirdly immature fanbase (literally don’t refer to us as our name, it’s always “scum”)
    Grow up you fecking idiots.

This is a snippet of the type of things they say....

    https://www.waccoe.com/topic/308715-scum-pre-match-chat/?do=findComment&comment=12055505

I'll spare everyone the sin of visiting their forum...
I took a look at it and it's overrun by Yanks, Nigerians and Indians. Pointless looking on there to get a sense of how their real fans are feeling pre-match.
And fecking Danny Dyer wannabe over here, like how can a grown man type out this sentence and still have self respect.
No chance is the hatred still there like it was. Different these days . Most of their cnuts are Home Counties fanny boys or Africans podcast wankers . Back in the day you were having a go with lads from Cheetham Hill, Ancoates , Salford etc . 16 years of not playing them apart from a couple of times were they shat themselves at our place and our mob didn’t even go
to the game at theirs. The whole of
footBall has changed of course . Evolved . CCTV , banning orders , Security guards , .I can’t even hate their players anymore like I used to . Average cnuts

No doubt they will kick any thing that moves as they did during the 70s and in our last game with them at Ellend Road in 2011 which we won 3 0. A few of our players are in for a forceful shock Martial most of all, this is going to be a physical game. Was there in 1959 when we beat them 6 0, in the 70s when there fans ripped up seats at OT., and cause havoc in the city centre. At least Manchester are saved the invasion of their hateful fans, but as a club I do not think things have changed, I will be surprised if 22 players are still on the pitch come full time.

Telles got subbed at half time at Leipzig. It’s because he gives space behind him. It wasn’t because Ole was this or that but it was simply too bad to keep him.

In games where we need to be tight Shaw he much much better for us.

They will probably turn up as a game raising cnuts and execute Bielsa's plan to perfection

I know possession doesn't mean all but it would be fecking embarassing if we're pressed to feck and they dominate the ball.

I mean, if we win, would that matter that much?
I don't think Liverpool find it embarrassing when Fulham presses them and dominate the ball in the first half. As long as they don't lose, I guess?

    We will be fine though.

De Gea, Shaw, McTomminay, Fred should start in this. McT to cover AWB and bring some intensity to the game. Hopefully we've got Cavani ready to come of the bench aswell.
