I'm hoping martial is back so the two chuckle brothers are on the bench and in lingards case, hopefully out of the squad.

I'm hoping Brendan will be brave in his selection, as I see it he'll be choosing whether to start Barnes or Choudhury

    Kasper

    Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell

    NDidi

    Tielemans Maddison

    Albrighton Vardy Barnes

Whether Barnes or Maddison play on the left neither will get a penny from Wan-Bissaka.

neither play like traditional wingers, Maddison either drag AWB inside creating space for Chilwell or overload your midfield if AWB stays put but neither would be attempting to go by AWB and get to the byline

Phil is somehow still alive, Chris died last week and is buried in Rome.

Chris is in intensive care, expected to make a full recovery and be released from hospital around May next year...

I always had the impression Barnes did. When I saw him last year he held his width, and was very direct at running down the wings alongside cutting in. I liked what I saw anyway.

Either way, even if they drag AWB centrally, our RW always tracks back and tracks the runs from on-rushing LBs. James was brilliant at this against Wolves.

It It's on our left with - usually - Rashford (before Martial's injury) that we get overrun as Marcus seems to have been instructed to stay further forwards for counter attack opportunities.

he does hold his width but his game is more about getting into the box looking to score then create

Leicester's midfield always gets hyped. Truth is that it's not that special at all. Maddison still dwells too much on the ball, Tielemans is bang average and Ndidi is very limited on the ball.
That's how it goes around here. Everyone likes to over rate teams below us and under rate us. I can't believe that 2-1 Leicester is the leading vote on here right now. Talk about our supporters lowering their expectations so they don't get hurt....ugh

Leicester play a more open game and Rodgers doesn't seem to be able to organise a defence very well. This should be an easier game for you compared to something like Southampton. Whether or not your attackers step up for it is another matter. I'm going to make a rare prediction and go with 2-1 in your favour.

So we'll see what's a top LB, what's a top DM and what's a top AM.... Let's be honest, we all know that Leicester will be better than us, that we will not see the ball much and that Maddison, Ndidi and Tielemans will run the show, when Ashley Young will keep playing long balls, when Pogba will lose half of this ball, Martial and Rashford will do nothing at all.

Poor us, being weaker than Leicester…. Horrible

    My prediction United 1 – 1 Leicester

If they actually come here and beat us... I think we'll have a very difficult time overtaking them for most of the season. I know it'd only be six points and five games in, but our form over the last 15 or so games is nothing short of woeful. Should be winning at home though, especially if Martial is back fit.

If we fail to win then Ole is in real trouble.
    He really isn't.

He's here for the long haul. Our transfer dealings are an obvious indication that this is a long term plan.

Yeah I'll believe that when I see it. When we are 8th coming into Xmas let's see the club standing firm. Not a chance.

He doesn't just get a free ride. He's got to get some kind of performance out of us. Nobody is expecting miracles and title challenge but if we are behind likes of Leicester n Everton in another 10 weeks then he has to go

I agree with the post you’re replying to, but more in the sense of trouble with the fans rather than higher up. There’s definitely a lot of people turning on him, a win is really needed to quieten it down a bit.

It's mad that Leicester have arguably a stronger midfield then we do... and ours includes Paul Pogba.

Anyway, anything could happen in this game. We might actually turn up and win (our record vs. Leicester in general is great, we've only lost that one 5-3 game to them... even the season they won the league they didn't beat us in either game.... but then again, they could just do us over as winning games seems like a struggle for us.

So i'll go with a draw.

I've gone for a 3-1 win for us at home, although I feel as I write this, that there's a good chance I'm deluding myself.

Surely we can't continue to be this profligate in front of goal...

Well, we know that Vardy will get his obligatory goal against us.
The guy is lethal against the top team and even when his team play badly against us and get hammered, he always scores.

Don't start Matic, Lingard and Rashford (If Martial is fit) and we should be ok. Tuanzebe for Lindelöf (Deserves a chance and should deal better with Vardy), Fred or Garner with McT behind Pogba; Greenwood, James and Tony upfront, PLEASE.

I'm definitely with those who want to see Pogba push further forward.

    1-2.

We will start with the shit 4-2-3-1. Pogba losing ball all the time and the defence will make atleast one mistake.

This is a comfortable Leicester win. They've started the season well and their attack/ midfield is in better condition/ form right now.

Fear for our centre backs against vardy, think I'd prefer Tuanzabe to come in here. Bring matic in and allow pogba to get forward more. Greenwood should get a start on the right side and allow James to stay left. Hoping Martial is fit as Rashford needs dropping.

I think we'll see the return of Matic here.

    Matic - McTominay

Is it definite that Shaw is injured for this and Martial will be back? Plus Pogba has pulled out of the French squad, will he be a doubt for this game?

I'd think Shaw would still be out and Martial will be assessed during the break. Sounded like he'll be available though. Pogba was probably withdrawn as a precautionary decision between us and the French medical staff

Please play 4-4-2 like classic United.

I just want some entertainment because the football is getting boring.

Greenwood and Martial as a front 2.

Play Fred & push Pogba further forward. Best opportunity to actually play him in this game since he should be more fit over both Lingard & Matic who are involved with international football.

Rashford on the right, Martial central with James on the left.
You do realise that Fred is absolutely crap!
I mean really really bad. So bad, that he can barely make the bench and by rights shouldn't even be in the squad?
