No Lingard or Matic anywhere near the ground please. James is our best player right now, so he gets his favoured position. If Rashford has a problem being on the right bench him for Greenwood.

    feck me we're shit.
Leicester's midfield always gets hyped. Truth is that it's not that special at all. Maddison still dwells too much on the ball, Tielemans is bang average and Ndidi is very limited on the ball.
Maddison and Ndidi are better than Mata and McTominay. Tielemans is a bit overrated though I agree.

I've heard this argument about Liverpool's midfield.
Its not how good their individual midfielders are, it's the system and way of playing that matters for the way Rogers plays.

Play Fred & push Pogba further forward. Best opportunity to actually play him in this game since he should be more fit over both Lingard & Matic who are involved with international football.

Rashford on the right, Martial central with James on the left.

Tielemans will surely be suspended for the game which will help you in midfield. I presume incidents that get overlooked by VAR can still be looked at by FA at later date.

Looks a tough match up for Man. United anyway. Leicester got Vardy in fantastic form and very fluid midfield. Feels like another draw or worse atm. That sort of season for you guys I think already.

Been the better team in every game this season so if we can keep that up and be more clinical in front of goal we should win it.

A few De Gea saves if all doesn't go to plan wouldn't go amiss either

Young for Shaw if Shaw is not fit, this is what I would love to see, Rashford, Lindelof & Lingard demoted due to poor performances and us play 1 holding midfielder rather than 2 and push more people forward

You need quality where it counts. They have badman Vardy. At the moment he is more likely to take his chances than our misfiring forward. I predict 1-1

If we fail to win this I think there has to be serious questions asked about Ole's future. That would be 3 wins in 18 wouldn't it if we don't win?

It was a nice idea but it's turning into a nightmare for him. I don't blame it all on him either, far from it. However if we persist with this we're heading for no European football at all.

Never been as down as a red. The club is an absolute mess.

Yes, I would go for this and maybe bring on Fred for Gomez at some stage.
Let's see if ogs has the nerve to do it.

Going to be a tough period.

After Leicester you have West Ham away who comfortably won 3-1 last season, Arsenal at home (who took 4 points off you in the league), Newcastle away (should win) and Liverpool at home. Think that's up to next International break.

Can see you with less points than what you had at the stage last season under Mourinho. OGS desperately needs a run of Bournemouth (H), Watford (a), Sheffield United (h) Norwich (h).

This is exactly what I want to see. Set Gomes and Pogba free, allow AWB and Young to cover for them. I don't care if Gomes is young and inexperienced. We're at Old Trafford. We will have the lion's share of possession and in possession Gomes I think can be a lot better than Lingard and Mata .

Don't really care tbh. What are we even playing for to get down about those games? We aren't in the title race. We aren't going to get top 4 because we're not good enough. Could finish 5th to 14th now for all I care.

Best thing that could happen now if for things to get so bad the owners have no choice but sell up. That's the only thing I'm clinging too. Theyve been here 15 years now. It's time they fecked off.

Better group of players coached by a far better manager. This will go well.

Anyone think we're getting anything out of this game is delusional
I just don't see it going well. If they take care of Pogba then what else have we got? Can't rely on a Dan James thunderbolt every week can we?

We’ll probably play well in the first half, be 1-0 up and come out in the second half with no plan, losing 1-2.

If Martial is not fit then try Greenwood there. Subs:- Gomes, Garner, Tuanzebe, Fred, Periera.

No hope for this team or manager anymore. Honestly won't be surprised if we end up drawing or worse.

They will sit back the whole game and counter, which they are very good at.

Not much room for this rebuild then?

Not if we keep losing points, no.

I don't blame it all on Ole. Far from it actually. But unless we pick up form he has to go. Just how it is.

Personally I can see him being sacked before end of January.

So we bring in a new manager and start again. Change play to his philosophy, and that may require more money which the Glazers, and Woodward will not permit.
Just won't work mate, No matter what manger we bring in, and it will carry on this way until they sell up.

Truely hope you still think this is right after the Leicester game. Not only do I think you are wrong about the midfield but I reckon their strikers, whoever they play, will show ours up. Like it or not they have not undergone the massive change of personnel and style that we have and are thus a much better and more settled team. Can't see us getting anything better than a draw, if we are lucky.
Their midfield is also much more balanced

I know and that's my preference. However if they don't sell do we just stay with him even if we're awful? Real Madrid have had 3 managers in one season.

Not sure there's much in it first team wise, and Rodgers is a very good manager, so if we play like we have been they'll beat us.

But Madrid don't have the Glazers and Woodward in their ranks. We will have to spend even more whilst changing managers every other year, and we will never have a settled team.

This is our best 11 in my opinion (replace Young with Shaw), if we could stick to that front 4 the goals would come. McTominay should sit and hold as he can spread play where possible effectively and Fred to go box-to-box.
Other way round, Fred to hold and Mctominay to go box to box.

Same, woke up this morning and the first thing that came into my head was just how hopeless we are and how much quality we lack in attack. I can't bear to watch another miserable season whilst the likes of city and Liverpool go on to win more trophies. I have no idea how we get back to the top, we're a million miles away

We can only hope for it to get worse. Then it might get better (by having new owners)

I'm hoping Brendan will be brave in his selection, as I see it he'll be choosing whether to start Barnes or Choudhury

    Kasper

    Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell

    NDidi

    Tielemans Maddison

    Albrighton Vardy Barnes
