Lingard is definitely out, to much cheer for some.If Liverpool get an early goal and we have to take the game to them it could get very ugly for us.
Our only chance is to sit back, restrict them space and hope it works again as it has for us in this fixture before recently. Their midfield is very ordinary so sitting in deep can work against them. We will get beat comfortably though if the game opens up. They are just far superior. Sad but true.

I wouldn't usually want Matic to start, particularly against Liverpool, but he's probably best suited in this system and would be there to basically just defend - probably take the inevitable yellow card for the team and be subbed off later for the energy of Fred. Hopefully a back three plus Matic dropping deep helps combat their front three while our wingbacks stop them getting too much joy from their fullbacks.
Just keep trying to find a pass to one of our front three on the counter and hope they can nick a goal. I can really see us winning 1-0... But a Liverpool win is clearly more likely. I'll be surprised if it's a drubbing of 3+ goals though, that rarely happens to us.Can’t see us not getting slapped.
