If they score first and early it could get brutal again with the crowd and such and we'll go on and get hammered. I reckon if we do sneak the first goal in we might actually get a result out of it.

You just know if they score early it’ll be “Ole’s at the wheel” chants from the away end for the entire game. It’s going to be absolutely toxic in OT on Saturday.

Know the opposition : Citizens del Bellend were founded in 2007 after a bunch of edgy teenagers that stole NikNaks from a nearby shop went on to play 5-a-side which was interrupted by Interpol due to violation of NikNaks rights. The incident inspired the previous owner, Thaksin Tsubasa Something Something to form a football club for the fathers of those teenagers to cheer them up while their kids were in jail by watching Brazilian footwork of Robinho. A few years later Thaksin sold his soul, including the club to Mansour Whatshisname from UAE. It was reported that Thaksin ran up to Mansour while he was buying petrol in containers and got an offer he couldnt refuse involving doubling the size of containers which he used to store the petrol.

From that point on, Citizens del Bellend became one of the most dangerous clubs in the world for its ability to turn petrol into money at any time they like, in order to purchase whatever they need. During this period, they managed to buy several world class players like Gabriel Jesus who is not holy at all and Vincent Widehead Kompany who is now turned into a statue despite being alive, well and middle aged.

Ole plays 5 at the back. Pep reverts to his tried and trusted false 9, floods the midfield, controlling the game from start to finish with 101% possession and 1000 shots on goal and we nick it at the 97th minute with a back post Fred header.

Thaksin. Haha. The guy probably owns your house and pays your wages. Not bad for a policeman!

It’s in City’s interest to get a narrow win, isn’t it? That will tell Woodward that Ole is still top class and bringing “phenomenal success”.

    No, it won't be.

Toxicity is reserved for outside the stadium. As long as the players are on the pitch playing in red, they'll get our full support.

For me it is a game of damage limitation. Keep it tight at the back, don't allow City to penetrate the lines, limit them to shots from outside the box. And when we get the chance to counter, we have the best in the business up top waiting to score or create chances.

For me it is the same shape, the same blueprint from the Spurs game. But more importantly, the same attitude.

Most people playing this and very hard to disagree. Rashford has a great record v city and we've had success hitting them at pace in recent years. The alternative is to play a very compact non pressing 4231 that sits, with sancho/Greenwood and rashford offering an out ball in support of Ronaldo up top.

Interested to see how he goes

Just can't see him going 4231 because even when they try to play compact, they're still too soft and it would only be a matter of time before City cut through us, but you might be right in Rash getting the nod ahead of Cavani as our only outlet.

Don't you love it, setting up not to lose.

Not looking forward to this one.

City to score within the first 15min.
They will own the midfield and dominate the game from start to finish.
We will lose , the question is by how much.. i predicted a 1-3 loss but it can be even worse than that.

Ole has Pep’s number. Will turn him over again. Start of a big run.

We beat Spurs and they got Conte ….if Spurs end up beating Utd to top 4, the shit will hit the fan like never before.
Yeah and rightfully so because will be firmly on the boards head then for stupidly sticking with him after an absolute drubbing to our biggest rivals

I would usually agree and in fairness to Ole he's done a few of the big guns in the past but in those wins he's won by counterattacking. We don't seem to have that option this season, we aren't as direct in our play.

Tactically it’s a tough old game for us. Our midfield is chaotic, if we go at them they’ll probably just stroll through the gaps we leave at will. But our defense is so flimsy that sitting back and inviting them on to us in order to counter attack doesn’t feel very viable either. Neither pushing up nor sitting back feels like ideal. Not sure what’s best.

    ................. De Gea

    Bissaka - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw

    Fernandes - Fred - Matic - Lingard

    .......... Cavani - Ronaldo

Forget about playing out from the back, and press high. Sitting with a back 5 trying to soak pressure would be a mistake, but if needed, Matic can fall back.

Back 5 is exactly how we have beaten City in the past... a good mistake that was.

I´ll still argue that our high pressure was what won us the game, and a back 5 with Ronaldo on top will not allow us to do that. Instead City will dominate the midfield and play around our box. We need to take the game to their half, and we can do so by playing long balls from the back and press high when they have the ball.

We setup against them last season in the away game brilliantly, wasn’t even that much of a counter attacking display (although we should really have picked them off on the counter). We actually had loads of the ball in the second half and kept the ball well. Be amazing if we can do something similar, also Martial was sensational that match.

Backs against the wall job and to steal a late winner. I don’t see us outplaying City (who does these days) but we are more than capable of getting a goal or two.
Just depends on how well Maguire decides to play.

There are 30 points available in the league up to the end of the calendar year. I think we should be able to get 24 of them. Three points on Saturday would be an amazing start.
Sounds a bit mad. 24/30 given some of them fixtures? That's a title-winning form anyway.

We have regressed so much since last season especially defensively
We have no form going into this game so expect us to lose but you never know stranger things have happened

    1-4 to City.
Agree with that starting 11. As well it looks like the go to system since the scum did us . Rashford bench to come on 70mins Jesse as well . Even Sancho. But I'd love to see a 4-4-2 . DDG. AWB. Bially, Lindelof . Shaw.
    RASHFORD. Bruno. DvB. SANCHO.
Ronnie. CAVANI. And just fecking go for it. Bollocks to the score 5-5 0-5 . 5-4. What a game that would be.

Fecking dreaming here get a boar of a game and hammered.

I genuinely think he might put McT in a back 3 and start Matic/Fred double pivot

This could be like under the end of Moyes’ reign where we got spanked by Liverpool at home then a couple of weeks later spanked by City too. Thankfully we’re winning this one.
