Huge, absolutely huge win. This is like United of old, like United I fell in love with so many years ago.

    We are back.

Absolutely dominated them. Would have been an absolute travesty if we hadn't won that!

At the end was incredible, Zlatan, Rashford, Mata, Mkhy, Martial, Pogba, Herrera all on there.

Van Gaal would have subbed both full backs, with other fullbacks and that would have done.

Finally we see the United of old getting those late goals, now I can actually watch the Liverpool City game!

I think I screamed for at least 25 seconds when Pogba scored. The whole house of 12 people came to see what was going on..

I can only imagine what it was like in the Nou Camp in '99 after this. i'm absolutely ecstatic and it's only fecking Middlesbrough.
No you can't. I was 8 years old and was in complete shock because United was losing. I turned of TV in 88' minute and then my older brother who was watching the game also ran upstairs that United scored. I immediately turned it on and second later we scored again. The craziest moments in my life and i only started watching football and supporting United in 98/99 season.

Best game since I can remember. Brilliant performance. Spirit of old.
Seriously? handicapped by a tosser of a ref and our failure to create a lot other than Martial superb efforts.

We won through great spirit but not great football. It all helps in a congested period though.

Onwards and hopefully upwards. That winning mentality has been re-established

I still think the turning point was getting a text from a Liverpool fan with 10mins to go, and me saying we were never going to score if we carried on until Tuesday.

    Literally scored 20secs after

Because of the way we won that game if may overshadow Mason's incompetence and performance. Great way to end 2016 and on Fergie's birthday. The only way I watched this game was looking at Redcafe and pressing F5, and listening to BBC 5live for updates.

Agree, that would have felt a pointless watch otherwise.

What did Jose do. Unfortunately my daughter wanted to watch Peppa the pig, there's only one winner there.

Double sub: Mata and Rojo for Fellaini and Blind (who was struggling). Boro score from a cross from their right and then a knockdown (and I start wondering if Fellaini might have helped or Rojo's positioning was off. Smalling was poor too).
Then, Rashford for Smalling!!! Which meant the last 20 mins were pure attack v defence.

feck me that was a ruckus finish. It's almost getting back to the way it used to be. I highly doubt Marital will be going on loan to Sevilla now.
Martial was immense. Mata was a game changer. And it was an amazing assist from Zlatan to Martial.

WE HAVE LOTS OF OPTIONS UPFRONT.

And this feels even better because of how bent the ref was.

    We won against 12 men.

So Mikhitaryan, Martial, Mata, Pogba, Herrera, Carrick is obviously your 6 best players on 5 midfield-positions.

    A corner has been turned

    The LVG/Moyes era is over

    Happy new year

Even at 1-0 down with 5 minutes to go I felt confident we'd at least fight to the end and do our best to get the win...haven't had that feeling since Fergie.
