I don't know if it's a good or bad thing, but confidence is sky high and I'm actually not used to it at least for few seasons. I mean when was the last time the cafe was buzzing like that before facing a huge opponent? I truly feel great to see how we got our confidence back and at same time too scared of how things might go tomorrow!! Finger crossed we win.

    We're going to batter them!
I've taken the day off to watch the massacre.

    United provisional squad vs PSG

    Goalkeepers: De Gea, Romero, Grant.

Defenders: Bailly, Shaw, Smalling, Jones, Young, Dalot, Lindelof.

Midfielders: Pogba, Fred, Pereira, Matic, McTominay, Mata, Herrera.

Forwards: Lukaku, Sanchez, Martial, Lingard, Rashford.

Basically, everyone that's not injured or coming back from injury is at the hotel.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
We're going to be attacked for the first 20 or minutes. It seems that Ole has transitioned from his initial all guns blazing to patience in the first 20 minutes of games in order to prevent the late game decline.

Fergie played similar tactics in his latter years.

    I think we'll win 4-0

I'd be confident playing Jones for this one as he seems in decent form and has forged an understanding with lindelof. However, we should definitely look to play Mike in the return leg as I expect we'll be under greater defensive pressure over on Paris.

Tell me about it :( I’ve forgotten the feeling of working while excited before a big CL game!

We should be patient in the beginning, putting up a fight but not opet ourselves too much. Test them as the game goes and hit then with quick fire passing and quick openings. Our defense will have a big test but the whole team should help up. Main thing along with tactics of course is for Ole to motivate them and prepare them psychologically which Im sure he will.
Fek it, I'm nervous already but excited in the same time.

PSG have easy excuses if they're losing. No Neymar, Cavani and Meunier.

Rather them having full squad alas sudden injuries can't be controlled.

If we win this, skeptic football fans and so called 'football experts' will still downplay Ole.
Draw, Ole and our players will be criticized for never been that good at top level, the unbeaten runs are fluke vs weak teams.
Lose, it'll fit and reinforce their narrative 'Ole is not the right manager' and 'our players are shite'.

Just get ready with the heat afterwards.
I'm getting ready to not giving a solitary feck about any of that.

Not sure if all the over confidence is tongue in cheek. When we are this confident as a forum it often ends in tears!

It’s PSG not arsenal or spurs I’d be happy with any win
A bit tongue in cheek, mainly from the fact I'm no longer worried about the tie as I was when it was announced. Of course, a win will be good and a two goal margin great, but I would looove it if we utterly turned over this Qatar sourced team, which is no longer a far fetched scenario.

Got a feeling going into this like I did AC Milan in 2007. Reckon we wont keep a clean sheet, but will still win.

I'm a bit worried with our relative inexperience in the CL compared to them. They are there year after year and their players are familiar with the pressure, not sure about our guys.

Man I am nervous as feck. This one can go either way.

I hope we won't get outplayed like against Spurs but I believ Ole has learned a few things. Really looking forward to tonight.

Crikey, talk about post that may bite you on the ass.
We have played well of late but Mbappe and the chances we’ve given away of late....
The way some of you talk it's as if only PSG have an attack and we don't. And lately we've actually tightened up the back despite some of you refusing to see it. Sure we still concede chances in games but that's normal, every team does.

They, PSG would have to worry about Pogba, Martial and Rashford but for some reasons this fact is lost on some. Our midfield easily outclasses their makeshift midfield but that's also not highlighted by those who are so adamant in seeing us as underdogs when the reality is that they are the underdogs especially in current specific circumstances.

And the same defence people love to shit on dealt with Ronaldo for the most part over 2 legs but let's keep this narrative that they are hopeless against any decent attack before even a ball has been kicked.

    Will he even play?
When I’ve watched them lately he hasn’t been in goal

PSG & buffon are both under massive pressure to deliver this or least get to final

    Hope it makes them twitchy
Fully expecting nerves to get the better of them. They've got the French league wrapped up already, something like 13 points clear with two games in hand, this is their main focus and they al know it. They'll bottle this for sure.

This is one of those days that you wake up and the first thing you think about is United. I am buzzing for this. Might be the most exciting one since that Madrid game.

Terrifying how much optimism there is around here. I'd love to see Sanchez start, don't know why but have a feeling he could be the match winner for us.

Keeping clean sheet is vital for this game. Even a small 1-0 win would set us up great before the second tie. It won't be easy but the fact that Cavani and Neymar are unavailable should hopefully make things a little less tense. Mbappe is still an issue.

Love the optimism, but you have to go with form. Rashford, Martial, Lingard up front I reckon.

    Either way, feck. So excited/nervous.
