PSG run out 2:0 winners and are in control of this tie going into the second leg in Paris. A cagey first-half ended 0:0 but then exploded into life in the second as PSG upped a gear and struck the opening goal after 53 minutes. We looked shell shocked after that and conceded a second 7 minutes later through Mbappe. PSG were rampant at that point and could easily have got another goal to really kill the tie but De Gea pulled off a couple of top saves.

As the half went on we worked our way back into the game as PSG were content to sit on their lead. We couldn't produce the necessary quality to find a goal and a way back into the tie. The loss of Lingard and Martial in the first-half really seemed to take the steam out of us. A second yellow and red card for Paul Pogba at the end really added salt to the wound.

It's a big ask in the second leg to turn this around and a disappointing night as Ole suffers his first defeat. More big games on the horizon though with Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday, so we need to lift ourselves for that!

Didn’t deserve anything from the game really poor.

But our game plan went out the window with those two injuries.

Kimpembe should have been sent off. Typical European referee performance. Sick of the European sides constantly falling over and referees give them the foul every time.

Tough pill to swallow but no shame in losing to a team like this. The upper echelon of world football despite missing a few players. Hopefully we can compete in the next year or two.

Poor in the second half but the ref made us look much worse than we were. Absolutely disgraceful decision not to send Kimpembe off, he had the whistle in his mouth ffs. Bottled it.

Until Lingard and Martial went down injured we were absolutely fine. Two subs at half time knocked us down and a goal from a player who should have been off killed us. PSG are not that good.

Strength in depth is terrible. Think it's harsh to blame Please/the way we set up, 2 forced subs changed the game for us and them. Could have maybe brought Lukaku on instead of Mata/Sanchez but considering he's also been shite recently I doubt it would make much difference.

Can't complain.

Outclassed, outsmarted and found at such level of CL football. We're not an Elite European team as much as obvious.

Focus on getting top 4 and fingers crossed we make some good signings in summer to close the gap.

Our attack and game was over once martial and lingard went off.

Long way away from the top teams. Need to get rid of Young, Mata and Sanchez ASAP.

Couldn't have gone much worse tonight.

Pretty disastrous. Hope martial isn't out too long.

Matic, Sanchez and Young were awful

Reality check for sure.

That 2nd yellow for Pogba was a joke.

I think it's obvious PSG are a level above us overall. They have world class players in most positions and are expected to go to the promised land. I can't say I am surprised at the result. Sucks about Pogba's red and the two injuries though...

Better team won comfortably, tie is pretty dead.

Losing our first choice RW and LW killed us as none of our alternatives are that good.

Pogba's sending off was fair but PSG could have had a player sent off in the first half too. Young too arguably. Bad ref.

2-0 is not a bad result against PSG playing before a home crowd. Wait until United plays the return at home.

Perfect storm. they are better, we stunk, injuries, refereeing did not help. Would take a hell of an effort to overcome the deficit, because there is no way they don't score a goal or two at home.

Fine performance by PSG. We'll learn from this.

Usual CL dodginess.

A great chance to beat these oil-fuelled cnuts as they were without two of their best attackers. We walked right into their tactics though.

Nothing we could've done, the injuries to Lingard and Martial killed us and any counter attacking potential. Having them replaced by Sanchez and Mata took the piss, they run like they're running through treacle.

Also, the ref is a fecking jizz-stain. Kimpembe should've been off at least twice.

Time to write off the tie and focus on consolidating fourth. We're in trouble though, with our injuries.

Where the grass is greener.
Miles off them, we looked timid nervy scared from the first minute really. They were so much better than us in every way.

Tactically, I question Ole again honestly. We ended up lumping it into the box and to who? Only to bring on Lukaku far too late. It's not his fault Sanchez was shite, but honestly, we'd be better off bringing Lukaku on and sticking Rashford out wide than playing Sanchez who looks fecking hopeless.

Honestly, Ole got schooled by a better and more experienced manager. Ref was horrible, but we never even tested Buffon, we never looked dangerous, too nervous and too cautious approach.

We showed same weaknesses as we did against Spurs.

We aren't half as good as some think. Had some easy fixtures. This is a reality check. We lack quality. Ole has been schooled today as well. No hard feelings though. Tuchel is class.

What a shit referee performance. While he was at it, he made sure the second leg also went to shit. Taken out our best player and let their defender survive multiple fouls on his second yellow!

What’s the point in VAR when you get refs that are that bad

Sickening sickening ref performance. Completely changed the complexion of the tie

PSG are a very good team. Very good.

Tactically they were great tonight never mind the individual talent they have at their disposal.

They strangaled us completely. No need for a post mortem. We don’t win that match 9/10 regardless of the line up or tactics.

It's not that shocking to be honest. For all the positivity that Ole has brought back into the club, he's still working with a lot of the same limitations with players.

Fingers crossed that the injuries are not too serious, because that's the bigger concern right now.

Daniele orsato, garbage ref.

But we didn't really do anything all game long. Ah well, we wouldn't have lasted long in the CL anyway.

Absoutely schooled. Pogba was nullified all game and I think its that frustration that got him sent off.

Martial was poor even when we didnt look bad at the start.

The less said about Sanchez the better, he was awful.
