He's not scared of anything. He's crazy, but I much prefer his style.
Exactly, I wonder if he can cut it in the league. I would love if Ole tried him with Maguire in a league game. He'd be a much better fit.

I like 352. Ours was custom-built for Liverpool but I think it gets the best out of our forwards while giving our fullbacks a proper chance to pressurise their opposite numbers further up the pitch. I'd like to see Martial-Rashford up front with James as right wingback and AWB slotting in at RCD.

I think Mata's been ok on the ball but yes he hasn't got the legs, certainly not against decent opposition.
In a 352, you're still reliant on the 10 in the build-up though aren't you? I would like it if only we had a decent 10.

When attacking, a 343 structure would be better suited to us vs weaker teams, with Martial upfront, Rashford LW, James RW, Pereira RM, Young LM, Fred & McT CM, AWB RCD.

That way you have got rid of the need for a 10, whilst still proving options across the pitch.

Just be nice to have a night of relative calm on the caf tonight. If people say they didn't enjoy that then they really do have an agenda.

I love how aggressive Rojo is vs Lindelof. His playstyle is a better match for Maguire and Man Utd IMO.

I noticed against AZ alkmaar that rojo and lindelof looked together on that night, it shows that someone like rojo compliments either Maguire or lindelof more than Maguire and lindelof together for finding a better balance to a central defensive partnership.

Imagine being Phil Jones? You are 5th choice defender in club but hey, you have 100k per week, 5 years contract.
Which is still cheaper than purchasing a £15m defender for 5th choice (where we getting one of those) and paying them £40k per week

This is why my spirit can never take to lingard. Before he came on nobody took several touches but passed the ball quickly. Since he has come on he has taken the ball from the right and tried to dribble into the middle were mata is. Why cant he ever just pass and move?

If fast attacking football comes with injuries attached, so be it.

    Long may this approach continue.
Not really sure why we need to do that when we are winning comfortably? At the expense on another premier league game?

    His movement is legendary.

Why can't his teammates move? It's a systemic problem that the movement ahead of the ball carrier or near the ball carrier is stagnant or they don't show in proper forward angles.

How can such a useless player like Young be the captain of Manchester United?

Pereira did pretty well there I suppose, but yes you're probably right

    I was only half serious.

It's just nice to see us playing such attacking intent tonight. I hope it continues throughtout the season.

No danger whatsoever in final third since Rashford came off.

Best professional, irregardless of actual talent, the club has had since Rooney and Valencia as captains. Just shows the dearth of quality and those players at the club are up to it mentally.

Young has somehow continued his career and was starting for England during last WC. Shaw is consistently in and out of the squad, yet Young is there and nobody else can unseat him. He's not ideal by any means, but there shouldn't be an issue of him being captain.

None of the attackers are mature enough or command the respect. You had Pogba, but you can immediately see the mentality differences of Pogba v Young. DDG is too vanilla and Maguire isn't ready yet. McTominay would be the same as Young in terms of there should be a better alternative, but their mental make up and availability and fearlessness goes a long way (compared to their actual quality). If Rashford ever makes the jump to being a consistent performer who is 7 of 10 every match, he'd be captain. But he's not.

Young is club captain whenever he starts and DDG has been captain whenever Young doesn't start. DDG should be captain this weekend as Young is suspended.

Interesting... seems like Lindelof should be backup to Maguire rather than his partner. They're too similar.

Rojo should have been backup/ competition to Smalling, with Jones leaving on a free.

Love Rojo, he actually has some character to him. I know he's got a red in him but I've always felt we've underplayed him in his time at the club.

Sigh. Garner is really a rabbit in headlights out there. All sideways passes trying to get rid of it as quick as possible. Same as Gomes when he's played.

Someone needs to put their arm around them and tell them to play their natural game.
