Some questions: has Martial done enough in training to get his leftwing position back, or did Rooney claim that place for good? Is Mkhitaryan ready for a start after injury or will Mourinho trust Mata will be enough?

I am assuming that Miki will be benched with a role in the Middlesbrough game, so Lingard keeps his place. Think Martial will get a run out, and maybe Mata for Rooney so that Rooney gets the Middlesbrough game.

I think Lingard deserves to start based on his excellent performance last time out. He really put West Brom underpressure with his work rate and pace, which was great for Ibra. I also think Martial should start ahead of Rooney on the left. I'd look for Mkhitaryan to come off the bench against Sunderland and to start the following match.

Although I though I saw some quote from Jose about this Rooney's the captain and deserves to start games again non-sense, but I haven't looked for the quote myself and don't know if it's accurate or in what context it may have been said in.

Lingard against West Brom was justified by Mourinho has having to do with the need to play balls behind their defense. And he was totally right on his choice that day.
But maybe against Sunderland at home we need a more ball playing maestro, like Mkhitaryan or Mata. Also, Mourinho didn't wanted to give Mkhitaryan just some minutes before, so…

Probably right. Miki offers a different threat to Lingard. I am always cautious of playing someone from the start after an injury. I would prefer them to come on after we are well on top.

As we are finally into a decent run and found our scoring boots again. I have a feeling we are going to absolutely smash them.

Gone for 5-0 in my prediction.

Very confident, obviously. If we keep Defoe quiet, which we should, it'll be plain sailing.

    DDG
    Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Blind
    Carrick, Herrera, Pogba
    Lingard, Zlatan, Martial

SUBS - Rashford (Martial), Fellaini (Carrick), Mkhitaryan (Lingard)

    Man United 3 - 0 Sunderland
    Lingard, Zlatan x 2

Me too. I just have a small feeling in the pit of my stomache though that United might go out with complacency and drop points. It always seems to happen when everyone is expecting and hoping for a big win.

Although I'm glad Mourinho is our manager. You'd hope he'd warn them that it won't be as easy as people think and will fire our players up

Wont be easy, we will probably create and miss a lot of chances as usual. Still think we will win comfortably in the end. 2-0, Pogba and Zlatan with the goals.

I doubt it, our left hand side was a bit of a disaster against West Brom. I'd like to see us get a comfortable win, limiting their chances as we have done so well. It'll be four on the bounce if we win, when was the last time we managed that, was it van Gaal's first season?

Ah people were mithering against Palace and West Brom and we did the business. No way we're gonna lose this. Can't wait for this game. Should be a 4-0 or 4-1.

After a very good performance last game I think Lingard deserves his XI spot against Sunderland.

We need the 3 points as usual, especially against these. Don't care how we win, as long as we win and send miserable Moyes back where he belongs.

Hope Moyes gets a fair, if not warm reception at OT.

The man failed horribly, but he did give his 100% if not even more. Ultimately the job was beyond his ability, but I recognise that he gave everything he had for the club.
    No, just no.
I hope he gets booed and we smash those feckers 4-0.

This should be a easy win. Hopefully Ibra will add a few more goals to his scoring run, 3 0 I think. I hope too that Mkhitaryan starts.

Edit, I have just activated my triple captain points for Ibrahimovic.

It's gonna be a 65% possession match, with 15-2 shots stat which in turn will end with a 3-0 score.
Sunderland will keep defending deep and rely on Defoe.
When the clock hits 35 we'll get the first goal which will open the defence of Sunderland and from there give us a great chance of getting more open chances.

Ibra is my captain in fantasy league so I fully suspect someone else to step up and score the goals.

I can see this line-up. I hope Miki is 100% fit and can start.

I hope this will be kind of game which we saw in Fergie time so often. Assured, relaxing win which doesn't come in doubt from 1st minute to the last.
I don't know if Mickhi will start or Jose will save him for Boro which wouldn't be a bad idea. It's a perfect game tomorrow for Martial to have a run out.
We can save Carrick for Boro too, midfield of Herrera, Pogba and Mata should be just fine.

I think it was a joke in the pregame presser thread.

Gonna be my usual doom and gloom self and suggest we'll waste a tonne of chances and end up drawing or conceding a really shockingly bad goal.
