Do you think this will be a statement game from Mourinho after a few weeks of stewing from the fans and players, or do you think this will be another ground out game with moments of brilliance followed by 10 minutes of nail-biting at the end?

The latter, I'm afraid. But I've pretty much lost faith in Jose and the current team under Jose...

    Hope to see :

    ---------------DDG-----------------
    Valencia--Bailly--Smalling--Young
    ---------------Matic----------------
    ----------Mata-----Pogba----------
    Alexis-------Lukaku--------Martial

    Maybe Lindgard instead of Alexis.

Martial, Herrera and Lingard to come on as subs. Should be a comfortable win and a good performance, we need it to end the season strongly after an international break giving some time off the previous disappointment.

Is what we expected for Brighton after the Sevilla loss, but we got the same tumescent shite despite the win, which even got Jose pissed off. Well, hope for something different.

Herrera back? not sure about that mate, wasn't he to miss 6 weeks from the Sevilla game? Are you being optimistic or you can back up your comment with something. I'd love you to be right

I can't see Rojo playing and if Herrera appears I expect it to be as a substitute.

If McTominay is out, it'll be a Matic/Fellaini 'cking double pivot. Sigh.

It was funny. Even Jose was thinking to himself, "WTF!"
He later commented that some of our players are afraid to put in a big performance.
I think that our players are scared to make a mistake, so don't take any risks. Sanchez is probably our only player who is prepared to make risky passes...and he got benched!

I've actually enjoyed this international break, there were some good games to watch and really put me in the mood for the WC. Also, made me forget about the doom and gloom after sevilla, the whole pogba nonsense etc.

Back to the league, don't really have much of an appetite for this game and the rest of the season actually. Anyway, this is the wrong thread to moan, I think we'll win 3-0.

Pretty sure it'll be this. Young, Pogba, and Lingard in particular have done well during international matches, along with Sanchez who might gain a bit of confidence. Rashford & Martial is a toss-up, but I think Martial as a sub will be better for this game. Darmian & Blind are basically on a 'needs must' basis if they're involved in the squad as they're off. I think Rojo is likely to be used on the bench as the next choice for CB and Left Back cover, as Young could switch to the Right if it's Valencia who is replaced, for example. Shaw is probably done here, unfortunately. I don't see how he can return to the first-team squad at this stage of the season when we don't have any 'throwaway' games left. Only a must-win semi-final and games to try and stay 2nd in the League. Assuming Jones is out unless we get an update tomorrow, but I can't see Jose fiddling too much with Bailly + Smalling for the rest of the season if he sticks with it for Saturday.

Swansea are much improved of late and I expect them to stay up. They'll be difficult to break down, so I hope we get a first half goal and manage to nick another early in the second half.

This is just sad tbh, where does this mentality come from, what is football without risks?? its crazy some of our players have this ingrained in their thinking.

Can't be playing Swansea without posting this. What a day this was. A part of United died that day. Since then it's been a tough ride but I have hope that we can return to these days again and live these kind of moments soon.

Big day for Sanchez on Saturday !

Another poor-ish performance and the knives will be out for him as well.....
Things can only get better for him. I hope he starts firing for us soon because we'll need him on form for this last stretch of the season. Same with Pogba. Those two need to step it up big time. They are the two big names and both haven't delivered what we expected.

It seems more likely than not that we'll turn in a positive performance against Swansea. We've beaten much bigger clubs recently and the pressure from the media/fans has to have sent a message that it's just not good enough to win games, but to do so with more offensive urgency.

Two deficiencies need to get sorted out: set piece defending and finishing. Do both and we should be in for at least a 3-0 win.

Valencia to finally attacks overlapping in this game?
Valencia/Young low cross to Matic/Mata quick pass to Lingard/Rashford cocky scholes-style goal.

It isn't language as such is it. More about racism etc. Which is fair enough.

This isn't new though is it, it's just a different number? There's always been a number to report to.
