@Harrisamo, you are wasting your time. This is the Caf, where people think negativity is cool. But yeah, good game, two excellent goals. Good tactical approach. Team looked sharp, gave it everything and Rooney is getting closer to Our Bobby as all time top scorer.
Exactly. No-one said we're back to our best but it was a lot better than in the past

    There's only one United!
Louis doesn't realise that in our Premier league you have to play faster football not Philosophical drivel.

Martial and Young show the way but the first half was so boring!

I don't agree. I thought Smalling was excellent, as usual. Darmian had a tough day, admittedly.
Individuals aside, I meant the defending as a team. I wasn't convinced that any danger would be snuffed. If anything, we got away with a few.

Poor defending by Mata for the Swansea goal.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
City's manager is a dead man walking (it's no secret)
    Even though they are:
in the semi finals of the League Cup
    Won their CL group
just off the top of the league and favourites to win it
Scoring goals and got key players still to come back from injury

… and yet we're sticking with LvG because we're not a sacking club!

Don't you think they got away with a few? We could have been 2 - 0 up at half time.

Teams come to Old Trafford and they just defend hoping for a goal.

The only way to break them down is to play faster football not a million passes boring everyone to death.

I still think that Lvg has nothing more to offer us at the present time, therefore we need to buy a couple of class players now and change manager bringing in fresh ideas which will hopefully get us in the top 3/4.

The biggest impact player was Young. Sadly, he got injured by Taylor in the 2nd half.

Decent game. The team played well, created chances, but injuries again screwed the defence with first Jones going out, then Young.

Swansea got a free goal in but Rooney had the last say. Happy to see Rooney score an important goal. Overall good performance by the team overall.

Man of the match is Martial with Young just close behind.
Rooney scored a great goal, but our defence was not that good under pressure.
Young MOTM, Rooney 2nd, Martial 3rd. Martial was absolute crap in the first half, total shit. He definitely turned it around in the 2nd though.

Lvg sold so many strikers that I hope we buy a couple in this transfer window.

Thank god for that win we needed it so badly.

Great goals by Rooney and Martial and a great performance from Young and Schweinsteiger. We rode our luck defensively at the end but at least we were brave going forward that's what the fans have calling for, attacking at the expense of conservative play and it worked.

Just before Swansea's last attack, we had 3 players charging forward for no reason leaving a ton of space in midfield. So silly to do that with less than a minute to go and they got two good chances.
    Agree!

That's because there's no one on the touchline shouting and guiding our team.

Eh? A bit harsh on Martial. At least he was trying to do something in the first half.

so the players told him they want to attack. Bit sad really that it takes player intervention to allow us to play football.

Glass is half empty kinda guy? Lot of things to be positive about today. We're seeing growth in a fragile team. That's a win too.
Not really just thought we were very poor. To many passengers in the team for me. Blind, Mata, Darmain (what has happened to this guy) nowhere near good enough for a regular starting 11 to be winning things.

I just don't believe in being a hypocrite. Either you have faith in something and want them to do well or you believe that the manager can't take you to where you need to go and you want rid asap.

Rooney scoring is great for us in the short term, great finish but I can't pretend and ignore the rest of his poor performances. I want him out of this club asap and goals like this.. one in a million years will just disguise his lack of performance.. and ensure he's still here next season as well.

Obviously if this is the beginning of a run of form and both the club and Rooney start being brilliant then fair fecks.. they'll win my support back.
Club first, all of your other bullshit a distant second.

There's no way to justify your nonsense, so don't bother.

Martial gets discouraged too easily. You can see it in his body language. That;s why I thought Rooney had a better overall game. He kept driving on. I though Young was also really good at driving forward and creating consistent problems for Swansea.

My biggest concern is with Blind. If he can't handle Swansea on an athletic level, what will he do against better European opposition?
