Well Carrick, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Herrera are all at the Lowry this morning so unless one of them tripped up the stairs on their way to bed last night, I think they're all fit and well.

Bastian is not injured, he said he was not yet fit enough to play.

Amongst all the BS about De Gea and transfers, waiting for the start of the season is one of the few things that makes me feel like a kid again.

    I'm so excited :D

    Johnstone
    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
    Carrick Scheiderman
    Mata Depay Young
    Rooney

Seems to be the general consensus right?

    Herrera, Januzaj & Schweiny subs.

Does anyone know who'll be starting in goal? Johnstone is still out on loan isn't he?? My guess is that it'll be Romero.

    Eff it.

Changed my lineup prediction to a 4-3-3 team.
I think too much emphasis has been placed on here about the pre season "A" & "B" teams.

I want to put Herrera in my lineup prediction but I'm pretty sure I'll be wrong....

I'm dreading a lineup our brilliant manager will field today. Other than obvious Herrera on the bench (if even that) and Depay as nr. 10 and Blind as CB what else can he surprise us with. Valencia at RB, Rooney in midfield, unfit Rojo at LB.
Damn I hate this already and its still what 3 hours to lineups being announced.

If Herrera wont start today I think he'll be off this winter. No way he'll put up with so few playing minutes.
What's happened to you Mali? You're usually a ray of sunshine on the forum and a nice balance with all the negativity going on...The caf broke you?

such a shame. The guy will leave us if we keep dropping him or under appreciating his talent and contribution. I imagine Barca could make him unstoppable.
He's good but good enough not for Barca or Real. So I think we can stop worrying about that. If we don't start winning things, there will be management and coaching casualties before playing ones.

Did Ian Wright on BT Sport just say that Harry Kane is going to score "shitloads"?

Mali's been super negative for weeks now, pretty sure he's taking the piss out of the ridiculousness the Caf has shown in recent weeks. That said it is the internet, so Poe's Law and all that.

Doh, messed up my lineup prediction completely. I forgot Fellaini was banned (I had him coming on as sub), I thought Schweinsteiger was injured rather than not 90 minutes match fit (so I didn't even have him as a sub) and I was all over the place on the keeper. I finally got it all straight in my head and missed the deadline. Great start to the prediction league season

I've changed mine four or five times, I was probably right the first time. This could be a sign of things to come.

Yet again, I'm worried by the balance that LVG is going to go for. Can't believe yet again we've got to the start of a season and not brought in players yet. Still missing the two LVG talked about weeks ago. Still need world-class CB and someone to share the scoring responsibility with Rooney - and I mean an out-and-out forward: ie geting RvP in SAF's final season. And now we have the goalkeeper mess. Said at the end of last season it would backfire on us unless we made a firm decision about DDG. At this rate, we wil not be challenging for the title and I'm not even convinced of a win today. Mind you, I suppose that what makes United exciting to watch...
