After this game, we don't have another league game until Bournemouth at home - on Sat 4th March!! Vital we get a win.

We have the two Europa legs against St. Etienne, the FA cup tie with Blackburn, and the final with Southampton.

Crazy month coming up. Can't fecking wait.
How many games will we have in hand by 4th of March, if any?

We are pretty much in the mix for top 4, any dropping points specially at home against these lots will be a huge huge mess and miss.

Get an early goal please for the love of God!!!

You'd think we should win this but you can't take anything for granted with Utd these days.

That point of the season, especially with 5 big games in two weeks culminating in the final, where a win is a win. That's all that matters. Watford will come for a scrap so I don't expect much style. I also expect Watford to give us a game. I would also expect some rotation in these five games. Not massive changes but one or two variances.

Need to start playing well earlier. Arsenal were dire in the first half against them and Watford capitalised on that.

We need to score early on. The longer we go without a goal the more nervous we'll get, as evidenced in more than enough games this season.

Hope Carrick is left out again or put in instead of Herrera. They will sit back and I don't see the point of the extra man in midfield as we are at home and need 3 points. Hope to see Martial as well but don't mind as long as we get 3 points
sure lets play without legs and anyone who can win the ball back, I wouldnt mind carrick in the side though but at the expense of say Mata, Martial on for Rashford, Micki from the right, with Carrick siting not under big pressure he can orchestrate the game from the back while Herrera can paly his box to box game and let Pogba do whatever he wants but I'd like to see maybe midfield the same Pogba - Herrera and Micky in front of them with Mata from the right and Martial from the left.

We need to win this and we will

Niang and Deeney will be a handful, we need to starve them of service. I rate Niang highly.
As do I... Deeney can be an handful as well.. Need to be tight and stop them playing long ball... Sorry damn I went full Klopp mode here..

Let that win at Arsenal be a lesson.
Score the first one early and it will take care of it self..

    2-0 us... Here's to hoping.

So long as we take at least 20% of our decent chances we will win. We probably take about 5% at home though!

So far away I get up 4am to just watch Utd on TV
I don't think we need Carrick to sit in front of the back four for this game

    I like

    --------------DDG---------------
Valencia--Bailly--Rojo--Darmian (not who I want, simply who we'll get)
    -------Herrera--Pogba----------
    --Mata--Mkhitaryan--Martial---
    --------Ibrahimovic--------------

I'd much prefer the second line-up, Watford aren't the pushovers Leicester are.

We're too close to Liverpool and Arsenal in the table. Drooped points guaranteed :nervous:

We just need to stop worrying about these teams. We used to beat teams in the tunnel. That is what this team need to learn to do. Stop talking, stop worrying and attack teams you know 9/10 you can beat. If we did that, we'd be close to Chelsea. We need to be willing to lose. Drawing against hull etc isn't acceptable. Lots of these draws aren't acceptable. The players need to give themselves what they know they need. So i'm going to show faith in them and go for 3-0.

As others have mentioned, starting fast is so important at home. We can't keep sleep walking until half time, it just gives us too much to do in the 2nd.

I'm so dissapointed with our left side. Rashford needs to be dropped to allow Martial an opportunity. Rashford hasn't deserved to start going on his performace recently and is completley wasted on the left.

But we all know he'll start against Watford!

Think Martial will start this one being a home game. Rashford's had a few in a row now and not done anything more than Martial did last time he played. Time to swap them.

Just hope he keeps Mata and Mkhi in. Don't need a 3 man midfield for this game.

I am hoping that Watford attempt to actually "play" and attack.
If they decide to park the bus, then we could be in for another draw.
If they attack us, then the game should be a lot easier for us to win.

It should be an open game, Watford are enjoying their season. I can see a convincing and entertaining 3-1 United win.

I really hope we use this one week of preparation to its fullest. Come flying out of the blocks and kill the game before it really gets going. None of this shit where our players look frustrated after 20 minutes without scoring, please.

I feel closing the GD gap is just as vital as the 3 points for this.

We go all guns blazing get a couple of goals before half time, rest some players after 70 mins. 3-1 win...or we just draw again and spurn some more glorious chances.

Have a feeling though we may see Rashford and Smalling start again and maybe the return of Darmian. I hope not on all counts.

I won't be too disappointed if Carrick starts. He's still one of our best players and rarely has a bad game - just does the job he was sent out to do.

However, like a lot of fans, I've been saying we should be able to play Mata, Rooney, Martial/Rashford, or Lingard instead of him when we face weaker sides, especially at Old Trafford. When we play St.Etienne and Southampton in the cup games this month, that's when I'd be playing Carrick.

Stating the obvious again here, but we need to start putting these kinds of teams away early. No more silly draws or top four is as good as gone. Can't see Spurs slipping much further down, while City have a bit more spark about them now (and a goalkeeper who can make saves). Fourth will likely come down to us, Arsenal and Liverpool.

My first trip to OT this season and my son's first ever. We've a pretty good record when yours truly comes along and roars my support* so I'm going with a 3-1 win.

    Ha ha.

How old is your lad? Hopefully it'll be a memory that stays with him for life. My old fella (sadly no longer with us), had four of us to take along in turn during the 60's and early 70's, and those are some of my fondest memories.

He's 7. Nearly 8. Been thoroughly indoctrinated already and beside himself with excitement about seeing his heroes up close. Torn between wearing his Pogba or Mkhitaryan shirt.

Saturday 4pm kick-off is a rare occasion. Watford found form recently but we should beat them although if we don't score 1st half we tend to make it hard for ourselves.
Get an early goal I say.
