Such a crucial game to set us up for the run-in. If we drop points here then it's such a uphill struggle right away, as we have what are, at least on paper, four tougher games than this one in these last eight games. Having said that, if we drew with Watford then beat Wolves, it wouldn't be the end of the world. It's just a mental thing if we were to do it the other way around, or ideally win both. My hope is that Matic and Herrera are more up to speed, with hopefully some of our forwards being more rested. I haven't heard much in terms of updates yet, but I'd hope we can have four if not five of our forwards available. It's going to be touch and go but I'm hopeful that this international break has benefited us.

I'm of the opinion that we need to win six of the remaining eight games to finish in the top four. Wolves away and City at home are what I think are our most likely games to drop points in, but Everton away and Chelsea at home are dodgy as well. It's why I think dropping points in any of the 'bankers' will just do us in and I doubt we'll manage to get past Barcelona either.

I think you'll find this to be a little tricky because Watford are, at their best, a very organised side who have the quality going forward to cause some damage. But you should come through. A fairly unspectacular 2-1 win as you dust off the cobwebs from the international break.

Interesting to see how Ole and the lads handle the pressure, after the defeats.

I think the international break came at a good time, predicting a 3-1 win and start a good push in the final run in. Exciting end to the season ahead!

I think it’s clear that the girlfriend is made up. Also, you could have just googled the answer (btw Yes it is).

feck sake. Can't wait for this game. Two weeks deprives of meaningful football is just too much.

Would be nice to get a good win and performance on Saturday after two disappointing results. Expecting it will be as I'd be shocked if the players weren't aware of how they let themselves down.

I believe if we do not win this we are screwed, not mathematically of course but I think 6 points from next 6 essential to get top 4.
Two defeats on the bounce too so Ole really needs a performance, can't remember the last time we lost 3 in a row...2016 maybe but even a draw will be shite.

De Gea, Shaw, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Pogba, Matic, Herrera, Martial, Rashford, Lingard.

    3-1

This one's a must win. Without jinxing our chances too much, I'd like to say that I'm hopeful because a few of our key players didn't go out on international break to play for their NTs. Should be well rested, and hopefully Ole's had time to reflect on what went wrong with Arsenal and the Wolves, and re-strategize.

    DeGea
    Young-Smalling-Lindelof-Shaw
    Matic-Pogba-Herrera
    Lukaku-Rashford-Martial

    Sub: Lingard

Just the one sub. I like it. Doesn't sound like Lukaku is fit so I think Lingard will start tbh.

Same, and now I have to wait longer and watch on replay. I just found out this morning the wife is dragging me to DC tomorrow morning to see the cherry blossoms blooming.

Watford have been quite poor against the big teams so you would think we should win this one. Although no Lukaku is a massive blow since I doubt they will give Rashford the space he needs to play at his best.

I'd say there's a decent chance that 2/3 of our top four rivals drop points this weekend. Must win.

Rightly so, was a very harsh red!
Glad to have him available for this game. Must win. Yet another challenge for Ole to overcome to get the ... Sorry force of habit. Ole's permanently at the wheel.

Must win game, but he shouldn't be judged until this time next year. unless we lose all remaining PL games of course , some of these players still seem mentally fragile to me.

Nope. We're driving 90 miles to pickup my daughter at her dorm at UMD, then riding the tram into DC. Temps are going to be in the 70's and DC is going to be crawling with people and I hate people. To be fair, I've shot her down for everything since Ole took over. Before that I was more receptive to leaving the house when we had a match because the entertainment factor was most likely going to be higher than watching United play under Jose.

Random question, but are United the most supported team in the US in terms of fan base? or is it difficult to say?

I'd say the top 3 are United, Liverpool, and RM. There is no real way to gauge it of course and you have to consider where you are. For instance, if you go to a preseason match against United and RM in Orlando Florida or Southern California, the majority of fans will be wearing RM colors because the the higher latino/mexican fan base in those areas. Go to the same match in DC/Baltimore and it will be reversed. Social media followers is probably the best way to estimate a fan base.

Yea I noticed the crowd for a MU vs RM game in preseason had over 109,000 people Cram into the Michigan Stadium couple years back. was amazing to see even just on TV.
