Same team but Mata in for Herrera, albeit very harsh to drop Herrera.
I'd keep the team exactly as it was.
It is harsh on other players who were sitting on the bench against MCFC, but after that incredible (almost impossible) comeback, how can you not play the same team?
Hopefully, the players will start this game, exactly how they ended the last game and really destroy WBA.

BTW, the form guide taken from the OP of this thread:

Yeah no need to change anything after that second half against City. Jose will hopefully feel the same way.

If we win this game, do it confirm WBA relegate also? Would be nice to send them down.
Keep the same team maybe Mata in for Lingard. Lets finish this season strongly.

DDG, Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Young, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Martial would be my preferred team.

4-1-2-1-2 with Sanchez CAM, Lukaku and Martial upfront.

    Attack! Attack! Attack!

    Sanchez - Lukaku - Martial
I wouldn't play Martial (I want the same team which smashed MCFC).
But regarding Attack....I echo that a 1000 times.
I think that Jose and our players no longer need to be scared to concede now. Our team are completely capable of winning games from 2 goals down.
Jose needs to have some trust in the players, now.

Agreed. Add to the fact that City isn't going to slip up, and we are almost sure to be top 4... 6 games left, 14 points ahead of Chelsea.
Rather lay foundations for next year than grind out results in the remaining games.

    I expect something like:

    ----------------DDG----------------
    Valencia--Bailly--Smalling--Young
    -------------Matic------------------
    --------Herrera--Pogba-----------
    Lingard--------Lukaku-----Alexis

I've gone for a conservative 2-0 but with the confidence we should have vs their doom-laden run of form an annihilation could, and arguably should, be on the cards. I want to see us get on a proper run of form before the semi, so a bullshit scratchy win or dropping points is not acceptable here.

Herrera is kind of redundant in this kind of a game. Think mata would be a better option or one of Rashford or martial

Not Mata for me, maybe one of Rashford and Martial for Lingard with Alexis put on the right, but personally I want to see the latter play himself into some consistent form before Spurs, even if that's at the perceived cost of the younger two.

It's a similar story with Herrera for me. I want to see him given a chance in this system having had a good game against City after a long time out. McTominay has done well but it's the Herrera of last season I want to see there in the short-to-medium term, and if we can rediscover him I want to try.

Think we will go with 4-2-3-1 as West Brom won't be attacking and 2 man midfield should be enough.

Hopefully Mata plays this game, against teams that defend deep he always find space and his movement is very good.

Think it will be Mata, Lingard, Sanchez behind Lukaku.

    Annihilation - I like that. :)
As for our form, 5 league wins in a row. We are already on a good run of form.

    I want more dammit!

No, granted we're on a good run of a form and you would think any kind of win will add to that momentum. However I want to see us add to it in terms of performance, attitude and, dare I say it, style.

If we're merely scraping past these no-hopers (granted they've parted company with the Dancing Queen) it'll concern me that we're not building something serious in this dressing room before the biggest current fixture left on the calendar.

It's about time we started annihilating teams like West Brom. They are the worst team in the PL by a mile and have nothing left to play for now. Anything less than 4 goals and I'll be dissapointed. Will probably win by our standard 2-0 though.

We should play a strong team, try to end to game in the first half, then rest Lukaku, Matic, Pogba for the second half.

I went a bit adventurous as I've gone for a 5-0 win. If we show up for the full 90, then who knows. Lukaku, Lingard & Kane to score amongst others.

West Brom has nothing to lose. I'd imagine most of their fans, players, and staff have resigned themselves to relegation as 10+ Points in five games is a bit too much of a mountain to climb. Although, realistically they need to get the full 15 Points to have any chance. Thus, I don't believe they can gamble on scraping out a draw here if any of the teams above them manage to score points today. They have to attack at some point and we should be able to pick them off quite easily, given our great home record.

I want to see the same team that beat City, but I think it's most likely that Herrera is dropped in favour of either Rashford, Mata, or Martial. Bailly may also be left out in favour of Lindelof as José seems to be giving him as much time as possible in the games where we're likely to have more of the ball - probably in preparation for next season.

    de Gea
    Valencia Lindelof Smalling Young
    Matic
    Lingard Pogba
    Mata Lukaku Sanchez
    ---
J.Pereira; Bailly, Rojo; McTominay, Herrera; Rashford, Martial

José obviously wants to seal up 2nd place as quickly as possible (probably achievable if we win the next three games). Once we do this, I think we'll see Carrick get the final game at Old Trafford as a send-off, along with Angel Gomes get some time from the bench in the last couple of games. Could see some shop-window time for Shaw, Darmian, Blind etc.

As for this game, I'm going to say we'll return to our early season form now. 4-0.

I am not going over for this one as I have touch of Flu. I will be staying indoors watching it, with a hot toddy. I will back us to win 3-0.

I would love to see Gomes and Chong feature in the remaining Premier League games. The FA Cup game against Spurs is our biggest game now. It would be nice to see how Chong-Gomes do.
Gomes is still inconsistent in the reserves so why would we chuck him in the first team when we still need to cement 2nd place?

Exactly. Let’s at least guarantee a top four finish first.

Rashford and Martial can’t even get a game at the moment so I can’t see Chong or Gomes getting close to the bench let alone a start.

    I'd like to see:
    Ddg
    Valencia Bailly Lindelöf Shaw
    Alexis Pogba Herrera Martial
    Rashford Lukaku
feck all chance of that though...
Same. That's a really attacking team that could do some damage if given the license but we need better service from the fullbacks.

Needed Swansea to win today. Swansea would have had 35 and with Crystal Palace & West Ham on 34 a loss would leave West Brom at 21 with 4 games (max of 12 points) meaning they wouldn't have been able to catch any of the teams just above the relegation zone even if those teams lost every game the rest of the season. But now even with a loss West Brom while improbable still has a mathematical chance to tie Swansea on points and could take it on GD

But a bit of a plus is if city win today and we win tomorrow it delays city from officially winning the league

Same team that played against City. Get a couple of goals and then we can rest key players.

I would love to see us play 433 with matic playing as deep midfielder and both pogba and lingard as central attacking mids. A front three of Sanchez lukaku and Rashford. Later substitute Rashford with mata on right and martial for Sanchez just to finish them off. I would also love to see valencia getting substituted for young at right after 60 mins. And bring maybe Daley blind in the left back position. Centre of defence should be Bailly and smalling for me. De gea is gk. Maybe break the barrier of 4 goals this time.
