RR sort of hinted we might see all new players then said if it's possible as he should see list of players available. So expecting lot of changes, wouldn't be surprised if it's a new 11 except in positions where we dont have players.

    Henderson
    AWB
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Telles/Shaw

    De beek
    Matic

    Amad
    Lingard

    Elanga
    Cavani/Martial

I want to see Hannibal play at least 45 mins, we still don't know what he can do at senior level - will be VdB and Matic though.

    Amad and Elanga please.

Hannibal is currently with his national team for the Arab Cup (final is slated for 18th December if they make it that far). Beyond that, he will take part in the Africa Cup of Nations (starts on 9th January and Tunisia's last Group match is on 20th January). Given the grueling schedule, him making any first team appearances over the next 2 or even 3½ months (if Tunisia progress to the latter stages of the AFCON) is very unlikely; though at the very least, he will gain valuable experience in the national team setup (which might be better for his personal development than sporadic appearances with United). :)

Cheers for the info didn't know about the Arab Cup. Shame for us but yeah, good experience for him.

I think it would be mental to not make 11 changes for this game and just try out the backup players.

The fixture list in December is crazy and so we should take advantage of this chance to give our first team players like Ronaldo and Bruno almost a full week off.

It's not often these days we have won the group with room to spare. Lets enjoy the benefit of it.

I hope shaw is back if not telles should start in his place, not sure Lingard would be back if he isn't I'll rotate Sancho and Bruno in game, I won't start Martial alongs Greenwood even if he's fit to because neither are great at getting in behind defences and this system needs that threat at all times.

Poor VDB, once again getting a start in experimental team selections (probably)

I think we'll rotate quite heavily, probably 8-9 changes from the start and make all five substitutions. Ronaldo will want to play, but I think Ralf will talk him out of it as this is probably the only game for the next 4-5 weeks where we can rest anyone. It'll sadly be too early for Varane and Cavani I expect, but hopefully Shaw is fit.

    Henderson
    Wan-Bissaka Bailly Lindelof Shaw
Greenwood van de Beek Matic Sancho
    Lingard
    Martial

Hopefully see Elanga again, Jones, Mata etc and then a couple of other youngsters off the bench (although I'd prefer more youngsters if they're in the squad as Mata and Jones, by all means and with the most respect possible, really shouldn't be here anymore).

Young Boys will definitely come to attack - if they win they can sneak into the Europa League if Atalanta lose. They're sitting 4th in the Swiss league, so they'll want to put everything into this game for that chance of staying in Europe longer.

It’s only fair everyone gets a chance to show Ralf why they are not good enough to play every week…

Change the entire starting eleven from Sunday!

Ronaldo is the one who can use the rest most followed by Fernandes and perhaps Fred. Maguire has imposed time off so I think he'll start with Bailly.

It’s the match NOT to get selected for. Young Boys (the return fixture from the Wankoff). I got benched. Whew!

Huh? Are you thinking we should play the under 21's instead of using the game to gel our main players into a system our new manager is trying to implement before our next PL game?
Ronaldo need a rest for this one.

They need training more than anything.
And considering this busy period, to play them in this dead rubber is absolutely crazy.

I think we should play a strong enough team and use it as a training fixture to get them up to speed with the tactics. Sub a few off then at 60.

What's the point knowing the tactics but no legs to execute it. Ronaldo absolutely should not start this match. Thurs-sun-wed-sat is a lot. Some squad rotation would be needed.

He is trying to instill a style. I think he will play a fairly strong side.

Wouldn't be surprised if we play 8/9 of our strongest players. With minimal training time at the moment, matches are the perfect opportunity for the team to try and implement what the manager is looking for without 3 points at stake. We might see a few changes, but not many.

    I'm hoping:

    Elanga Greenwood
    VDB Amad (Shola cameo?)
    Matic McTominay
    Shaw Maguire Bailly AWB
    Henderson

my guess is Ralf might be one of those who doesn't believe in wholesale changes. But I feel so much better about things now...

We need to rest as many players as possible for this game IMO. I'd like to see how Martial and Lingard fare in this new system before we decide to move them on.

I'd say rotate a little but don't go ott. It's an opportunity to get the team used to his style of play. My team would be...

    DDG
    AWB Maguire Bailly Telles
    Matic VDB
    Greenwood Lingard Amad
    Cavani

Bring Ronaldo on in the 60th minute.

Maybe, I definitely would if Cavani can play.

They need training more than anything.

We need to build some actual match cohesion, putting the training into action, for starters we don't have any fullbacks fit to rotate in right now and Telles and Dalot need game time, and putting Matic into this system will see a wheel come off from the start as he's not built for the high energy style Rangnick wants. I'm not saying no changes, just not everyone.

Would love Ronaldo to score another CL goal but probably has to be rested. With 5 Champions League subs, I don't think your team will be that far off tbh.
Yeah, I think we'll start strong and use all 5 subs to get some peripheral players minutes.

This what you think or hope?
What I think, I'd love to see Amad and Elanga start but I don't think there's going to be the wholesale changes some think are going to happen.

What's the point knowing the tactics but no legs to execute it. Ronaldo absolutely should not start this match. Thurs-sun-wed-sat is a lot. Some squad rotation would be needed.
Maybe Ronaldo won't start but I think he'll play 25-30 minutes at least, but Ronaldo aside the guy that originally quoted me seemed to think I was crazy for not suggesting we'll make 8 or 9 changes for this game.

Sure lets just play them every 3 days for banter.

We have 5 games this month after this. Enough time to gel the players over games that matter

do we have any promising young CM to feature in this?
Mjebri is on international duty. Garner, Levitt and Galbraith are on loan. Not sure anyone else has been spoken of as being ready for a first team game.
