    Our players have no pride
A club that doesn’t rid these feckers has no pride. Madrid would not tolerate many of these players for more than a season. But year after year, we tolerate these shower. We have no pride.

The fact their CBs are taking runs through our midfield and having potshots is embarrassing.

We need a good DM against the likes of Newcastle away. One that isn't overweight, injury prone and past it.

I'd take Rashford off for Amrabat and Hojlund on for Martial, midfield 3 of Amrabat-Mainoo-Mctominay, have Bruno on the right tracking Livramento and look for the counter with Hojlund/Garnacho.

Rashford has had his worst game I've ever seen. I reckon AWB would've been better starting rw today.

Did Luckhurst do these ratings by any chance?

People need to breathe and calm down. That was a rough last 25 minutes no doubt about it. It looked as if a goal was imminent and we were so poor and relieving pressure.

That said, football is a funny game. Its half time, it's nil nil, and we have time to regroup, rethink and start again.

There is absolutely no doubt though, that Rashfords performance there, is as bad as any I can remember from a United player. I was wary of him starting, especially after we looked good going forward midweek, but I didnt expect this. There is nothing to praise, no silver lining, no positive to take or no mitigating factors (martial, who has been poor, can at least claim he's more isolated up top.) He simply cannot come out for the second half.

Antony for Rashford is about as obvious a substitution as i can think of, or possibly even another central midfielder and shift bruno right. Its clear the management need to prove their worth now too, and I'd seriously question them if we go out for more of the same.

I have no more words and dont like scapegoating, but nobody can watch that half and make an argument that rashford is even doing the bare minimum where effort is concerned. A real low point in his career I think. And a low point for me as a fan, watching a player on that sort of money, when I think of players like O'Shea, Butt, Park, Heinze, and countless other unfancied players who never gave anything but their all. It's so telling.

Well we've managed to break out of our habit of starting well before falling off, at least.

Too many of our players don't have the courage or ability to get on the ball and take the game to Newcastle.

Mainoo, Bruno and Garnacho look like the only ones who can make something happen in an attacking sense.

Defensively, we're not working hard enough as a unit. That's a basic requirement when you go to St. James these days.

Maguire carried us that half. Mainoo had some good moments too. Everyone else has been anonymous.

Except AWB. He's been notable for how often we're getting burned down our right

Howe has figured ETH out. In all the games against them, they’ve used their physicality and energy to dominate us. Thankfully we won the most important game but even then I felt we were on the back foot for large parts of the final.

We are second best in all individual matchups from a physicality standpoint and it’s showing.

There's no way McTominay and Dalot are on the same score as Maguire. They've both been considerably worse. So poor.

As for the Martial comments, I like the qualities he brings to the side, but this hasn’t been the game for him. This is a game where we need to first fight our way into it before we can look to play any football. In a game where we have some dominance, his ability in the final third is like none other at the club. Close technique and high IQ can help to unlock teams. But we’ve needed the hustle of Hojlund more so far, we can’t even get a foothold to use Martial’s intricacy.

EtH is too naive with his team selection and tactics. Especially in the big games.

Dominated by Newcastle with Rashford, McTominay and Martial ambling around. He should know what to expect from those three.

Has Rashford ever had a good game on the right?? Like literally ever? How many more times are we going to pretend he can play there. We never learn.

There was more progressive structure to Ole's Utd than what we are getting from Ten Hag, which is pretty much look for counters.

    Shit performance, shit set up.

Very, very lucky to not be a couple down.

Front 3 have been dreadful on the ball.
I don't know what they are trying. It's a total change to last season

The best thing I can say about that half is somehow we're still level. It was truly poor.

We have barely played football. We keep hoofing it forward, vaguely in the direction of McTominay, and hoping it'll get us up the pitch. Its as though Ten Hag has fully become Van Gaal with Fellaini, with the exception that McTominay is far less of a physical presence and isn't winning anything in the air. He's also not winning much on the deck either. He may as well not be there. We really need to upgrade him for a proper all action box to box midfielder. However, that's been obvious for years and we still haven't done it.

Rashford has been tragic. He hasn't had the ball much. Those few times he has though...awful. Passing, dribbling, decision making. All off. In a game where we need everyone to turn up, we've got at least four passengers. Including both of our full backs.

Maguire has been our best player. How shameful is that?

Pffff really hard to watch this first half, it’s so bad what we’re doing. No plan, no connection, no midfield.

Ten Hag said we need intensity pre game and then selects martial
