No but people do get caught in recency bias, and recent narrative is that Casemiro is a washed big money signing, forced on ETH by the board. You think people on this forum are afraid to go after McTominay?

What’s this?Fair play! You were confident, and rightly so!
Oh, sorry, I was responding to someone saying that the odds favouring MU were fair, even at 1-0 down. I thought they overstated Utd's chances - i was wrong. What’s this?
Responding here more to the criticism against Ronaldo than agreeing with the point you and I agree on that Ronnie is going through a bad patch...it can both be true at the same time that Ronaldo is past his peak (which no one denies) and that he's going through a bad patch. We've seen strikers who were in the prime of their careers (which Ronaldo today is definitely not) such as Wayne Rooney go through these bad patches where he would hit the post or otherwise be a threat but just not score. That's the Ronaldo we're watching right now -- being a threat on goal but not scoring. Tonight he hit the woodwork and later missed the far post by inches -- before his final ball reached Rashford for the match winner. Not great, but not bad at all.The idea that he’s now ‘finished’ as in completely lost it since the end of last season just can’t be true. He’s in a bad patch. As you say - one to many touches at times but he’ll hit form again.
foie gras ?This force feeding to Ronaldo is almost abuse.
Rashford and Martial have hardly been prolific their entire careers. Certainly I’ve never seen Rashford have a good game at cf against a team defending deep. How many PL points do you want to throw away trying to get him into form, then? We just ended up scraping out a 1 goal lead against a mid-table Cypriot club because he couldn't finish any of his chances, and that's with almost everyone passing up clear scoring opportunities trying to tee the ball up for him.
