If we can get a score draw I think it’s a decent result. A win the best result. A loss as long as we score is manageable. A loss without scoring will be a real bad result.

I’m expecting a typical Jose score draw or if we play well a clean sheet win.

Some of you love a good drama. If he isn't starting then he's not fit enough, simple aa

I put a draw in the score prediction a few days ago, but think we will get a decent win tonight.

If everyone has a decent match, then a midfield 2 or 3 doesn't bother me, but like many, I'd prefer a 3 so that Pogba can work harder in the areas he's better suited to.

    Vamos!

Matic-Herrera-McTominay would be effective if the goals were on the sidelines. Not expecting us to score more than 1 or win this if we're going with that as a midfield 3. Can see both Sanchez and Lukaku getting very isolated here.

How on earth is Herrera playing when he was injured for the Huddersfield game with a muscle injury??? Unless I missed something, Herrera and Rashford are both injured.

Football is a squad game lads. Let it play out tonight and against Chelsea, then we can all let it out Sunday evening after the match against Chelski.

But first, let's enjoy the CL anthem and enjoy it. Then the lot of you can bitch, complain and be revisionists throughout the first leg.

This should have been sorted out before tonight. Very Odd. - Why he would persist with Martial on the right is baffling. He signed Sanchez for nothing but opportunism. Martial was playing well on the left and it's almost like he signed Sanchez just to mess with him.

Been along time since I remember Jose did a mind game or even tried since he managed us. Seems Pogba is out and it's not going well between the two. We need Pogba very much without him our midfield is terrible. Hope Jose don't fall out with Pogba

What is a little annoying is that Mourinho always seems to go from one extreme to another, regarding his lineups. Never balanced. Either too attacking, or too defensive. Plays pogba with sanchez, lingard, martial and lukaku in attack, essentially 5 attackers. Drops pogba, but plays herrera, matic and mctominay in midfield, essentially 3 defensively minded midfielders (or safety first midfielders). If you're going to play a 4-2-3-1 with 4 attack minded players, then play 2 holding mids. If you're going to play a 4-3-3, then you need creativity in midfield.
Also annoying as feck that here we are, 20 months into Mourinho being here, and we still don't know what the feck to do with our midfield and how to set out a balanced lineup and have no clue in terms of what our long term lineup that well build towards will be.

I really don't believe Delaney. You really think Mourinho has no clue on who he wants to start after making bold decisions like dropping Pogba? Delaney talking nonsense as usual.

How the feck would he know that?

If Jose is going around telling journalists that sort of info then its only to not give Seville an idea of our lineup surely

Obviously. Should he had passed up on Sanchez, you think?

Delaney has no idea what Mourinho is thinking.

God damn, when was the last Man Utd Champions League Knock-out match? Seems ages ago. Sometime in the Middle Ages?

It's time to see Sanchez on the right with Martial back on the left. Anything else and we are unnecessarily weakening ourselves, IMHO.

This is a good thing because whenever the caf has a meltdown over the team selection we do better than expected.

I suspected Herrera might come in, but also thought Pogba would as well. It is putting a lot of pressure on McTominay. Making it a little unproductive. Might surprise us. I hope.

    Anyone but Rashford
Just disgraceful what is going on between arguably our best outfield player and the manager. Given our performances minus Pogba this season there's not a lot to be optimistic about. Given how popular he is in the dressing room I'd say morale is pretty brutal.

To summarise. We are fecked and Mourinho looks like he's burning down the building before getting out.

Matic, Herrera* and McTominay would have been the midfield I would play vs Chelsea

Fine with Pogba being on the bench. Get him ready for Chelsea.
