You're a much better side than they are, but you have the potential to not turn up and play like shite for no reason and they're generally quite good at home (one defeat at home all season, lost 5-3 to Betis).

Going 1-2 United, Sanchez on the scoresheet at some point.

Betis put 5 past them a month ago, and they're not quite the attacking force they were a few years ago. We should be able to win both legs if we're focused and willing to exploit their weaknesses. I think we'll edge it in the end.
Betis' games have been absolutely crazy this season, ludicrous entertainment

Let's hope for an inspirational performance from one of the attacking players. I just don't know what to expect anymore, but i just hope we can put together 90 min of at least some expression, coherence and ambition.

Play Pogba in an attacking position and put 2 holding midfield players in and we will be fine. I’d be tempted to have Rashford start on the left and Sanchez on the right.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Lindelof Young
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Lingard Lukaku Sanchez

Subs: Romero, Shaw, Bailly, Carrick, Mata, Martial, Rashford

Don't think Bailly will start, can't be fully fit and Jose seems to trust Lindelof more in Europe than he does in the league.

Don't think we'll necessarily come out swinging, as they say, but I hope we'll at least throw a few punches. A simple 0-1 would do fine. I hope the likes of Pogba, Lukaku, and Sanchez show they understand that its matches like this that they were brought in to shine.

If we want to go far in the Champions League and prove to Europe we are a good team, we have to go in there and beat them. Simple as.
    Not necessarily.
If we draw, we can beat them at OT.
OR, even if we lose say 1-0, we can beat them 2-0 at OT.

Do bear in mind that we are not a dominant team, yet. I think Jose needs another 1-2 years to be in a position, where we can go to an away ground of a top team, who rarely lose home games and expect to pick up a win.

Well Lukaku never shines in big games....

Although Sevilla aren't the best of teams so maybe he will do ok. Still rather he didn't start as he only plays well against poor teams.

When you put it that way, it's just unbelievable for one of the biggest club in the world.
It shows just how bad the managerial choices have been since SAF retired.
It's taken us all this time to get a manager capable of getting us past the group stages, in the CL.

    I've gone with
    DDG
    Tony V Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Matic
    Lingard Pogba
    Tony M Lukaku Alexis
I think that Shaw and Rojo are my biggest risks. He'll probably play Young and Lindelof.

Moyes got us out of the group stage. Our worst manager in at least the last 30 odd years.

There's big rumours on twitter now saying Pogba isn't in the starting eleven tonight :nervous::nervous::nervous:

Hope they turn out to be false because If it's true then I think Pogba's time at the club is on thin ice under Jose.

Only we could go into our two biggest games of the season with huge question marks over one of our best players. I really hope it’s illness related but doesn’t look great.

Sanchez has to be the creative outlet for this match or else we're going to be watching another dull match. Going for a one-all draw.

feck! I am buzzing! Just hope we can get a result. I'd settle for 2-2 draw here.

Please no Martial on the right. If he's to play it needs to be on the left.

Is it from someone with history of having correct match day squads before they're announced. If so link them please. If it's just randoms, then better not post speculation.

Not sure how reliable he is, but Paul Hirst is reporting it now. I’ll chew him out on Twitter if he’s wrong.

Any reliable sources? If he doesn't start tonight then he's finished at this club. Really hope that isn't the case.

Is he in the squad? Assuming he was actually sick, might not be fit enough for more than a cameo.

If Pogba isn't in the line up this thread will go into meltdown. That would be deliberately sabotaging ourselves. Herrera is injured so the only other option would be to stick with same midfield against Huddersfield. Matic, Carrick, McTominay. They were very poor in that game so I don't see how Pogba can be left out. Will have to wait and see what happens.

I will wait for team sheet. If we all hate it, I will be optimistic. If we all like it, will watch other game, whoever is playing.
That is usually how it works.
If the caf likes the team, we tend to do badly.
If the caf strongly disapprove, we do well. I still remember the MUFC vs Chelsea game, which won. The caf was furious that we played the team which we did.

United likely central three of Matic, Herrera and McTominay.

    We all love United
Makes no sense to have him travel for the game and not for him to start the game. I think he will, let's wait for the official lineups
