Internet fans are a bit too obsessed with footballers being tired and needing rest. There will be some changes because the opposition and the challenge is very different, but some of these predicted teams seem very odd. People have very low opinions of our professional athletes. You’d have Bruno and Rashford barely starting 25 games in a season!

It’s five days rest, Bruno must play.

Take him off at 70 minutes when hopefully we are comfortable.

You've got to remember it's Leeds 3 days later though, providing we get away with itm Bruno on the bench coming on for another rescue job like West Ham is something I can live with

I just checked the league table and Sheff Utd are bottom of the league.
So, we are up against the worst team in the league who have a return of 1 point from 11 games.
Logically, we'll wipe the floor with these guys, but given that we struggle against worse teams, who knows how we'll do.

I think this would be the best plan.
Keep Bruno on the bench and only bring him on in case of emergency.

The team I want to see:

    Wan Bissaka----Tuanzebe---Maguire---Shaw
    --------Van de Beek-----------Fred--------------
    ---------------------------Fernandes----------------
    Greenwood----------Martial---------------Rashford

Would love to see a midfield of
    Bruno-Donny-Fred

Only because it sounds like a boy band but doubt if Ole shares my thinking

Sheffield are mid-table Championship quality but I do not doubt we will find a way to make them look good.

They are bottom of the league so I imagine the bus will be parked and Ole will play Mata. Fred and Shaw both got knocks so I'd rest them and Bruno needs a rest. I don't like the Matic/Pogba double pivot but in a game like this we can probably get away with it.

This is exactly the kind of lineup that will have us down 2-0 at HT, only for Ole to bring on Bruno and Cavani for Mata and VdB and we roar back with a 3-2 win including a last minute penalty.

I hope we don't rotate too heavily. Maybe give someone like Rashford a rest but I'd prefer if we could win the game early and bring players off if the opportunity presents itself.

0 wins in 14 league games, possibly 15 if they don't beat Southampton today. We should really be putting these guys to the sword. They have been very bad for a long time.

Start one of Bruno or Rashford and sub the player who starts after 70 min.

Id take a 2nd string 2-0 win tbh.

I hope to god you're been given warnings for shite like this. Newbies coming in and doing nothing other than making ridiculous statements
I got a warning for saying 'I hope we lose' vs Luton in the cup. Now I made that comment at the time when my outlook on this team was rock bottom and I regret posting it.

Now it seems you can say stuff like 'i hope we lose' and nothing happens. Seems there is no consistency regarding warnings on this forum.

Listen, pal. Having 27k posts on an internet forum doesn't make you better than anyone else. People have different opinions to yours. Deal with it you internet gangster. There are several long established members who have said similar.

The fact that some long term members of this forum generally think they're elite is quite sad. In the big bad world away from your keyboard or smart phone, your'e just another peasant like the rest of us.

So keep your 27k posts, I probably have a bigger c*ck than you anyway.

Hopefully they warn you for being smug feck.
Didn’t like your first post but this made me laugh a lot

These lot are spectacularly fecking shit. As in useless in all areas, attack midfield defence. We should batter these if we play at our best.

We have a Thursday and Sunday schedule after 5 days if rest. I would assume some rotation but not too much.

Hoping that there is no weakening of the teams for these games at all. Let's put everything we got into the league and make a real push for it.

Anyhow the cups are a bit of a lottery.

Agree, go full strength and take players off if we are winning.

We have to keep some momentum in the league, this season it’s wide open.

This is a game we should absolutely be winning. Sheffield United are brutal and the only way we drop points is through a bullshit tentative start that let's them get away from us. Should be putting a team like this out of sight by 60,then testing for the Sunday.

If bring in vdb, martial, Telles and matic.

You'd think this would be straight forward.

Positives - it's an away game and Wilders side are relegation candidates this season.

If we can't beat Sheffield with that team we might as well give up.

    I’d go with...

    .......................Henderson
    Williams...Lindelof...Maguire...Telles
    ....................Fred.....VdB
    Greenwood...Bruno...Pogba
    .....................Martial

AWB needs to be rested at some point
Shaw pulled up a bit so rest him
Don’t need both Fred and McT for this one
    Rashford need a rest

Then at some point we need to give Bruno a well earned rest game.

12 matches 1 point. Surely Wilder's job is on the line for this match, if they don't react sooner?

Bissaka should be rested here and Shaw shouldn't be risked.
    I'd go with

    De Gea
    Williams - Lindelof - Maguire - Telles
    Fred - VDB
    Bruno
    Greenwood - Martial - Rashford

Put the game to bed before the 60 minute mark then get Bruno and Rashford off.

Unbeaten in 5 in the league, would be the perfect time to go on a run now and put the pressure on the top 3. Huge period coming up, and I am quietly excited.
