What concerns me right now is the inspiration teams in the bottom half are getting from each other. WBA, Fulham, Brighton all pulled big performances of late. Sheffield United have nothing to fear by taking the game to us.
We have to work hard against this lot. I saw a half arsed City think they could roll over WBA. Didn’t quite work out

I had assumed the game was tonight until I saw people mentioning Thursday evening on social media. Weird day to have a Premier League game.

It’s bull shit, we have Leeds on Sunday & they have a full day rest over us. No reason we couldn’t play this tonight other than money.

These next couple of games will be a test of where this team is at. Our rivals dropping points and us having the chance to capitalise usually results in us bottling it, let’s see if this time is any different.

Hope we don't kickstart their season. They've had so many losses in a row, can we really add one more for them? We should but wouldn't surprise me to see us draw or lose.

If we do drop points then Ole should be able to wallop each player on the face with a large carp fish

If they lose their next couple of games they're pretty much relegated, you just know we'll make it difficult for ourselves.

They score first, we respond quickly with a penalty, then late in the second half, we score again.
Ole outers: Ole is just clueless.. we should have hammered them.

Ole inners: a win is a win, you can't win every game 8-2.

yada yada Poch, yada yada the liepzig suit guy.

The ones who are numb: don't even care anymore, bring on Leeds.

Please please please let me get what I want...

Which is for our players to be at least 70% up for it.

This has suddenly turned into a huge game because we know we usually throw these kind of opportunities away.

Just please lads be up for it, turn up and get the job done - no bullshit.

No apologising for the slow start because you weren't ready for the game or some bollocks.

Just show a bit of intensity and focus from the first whistle and we should win this.

The door is wide open for us, we can't feck this game up, this lot only have 1 point, lets not give them a second.

    Will Sheffield have fans?

As we saw with Fulham it IS hugely important.

The fatigue excuse has been used by Lampard already, I can’t see Ole using it if we don’t turn up.

He and everyone in the squad will know it’s an opportunity to take advantage. That’s motivation enough

This is Manchester United, we're going to make it as hard as we can... wouldn't be surprised with a lethargic performance and 1-0 loss. Obviously don't want that but it's typical of us.

Seems to be alot of extremes being talked about regarding this game, I assume because Sheff Utd have a striking 1 point.

It's a very winnable away game against likely relegation fodder. But it's entirely possible to cock it up, look at City last night. Kenny Miller and Robbie Blake from past seasons v superb Utd sides come to mind.

Great opportunity but it's not armageddon if points are dropped, it happens.

It will be on here if we drop the points.

Now for a more serious lineup...

    Henderson
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Telles
    VdB - Fred
    Mata - Fernandes - Rashford
    Greenwood

Subs: McTominay - Pogba - James

This versatile lineup can play out as a diamond with both Rashford and Greenwood up top, as well, or slip into a flat 4-3-3 to protect the goal.

I do see a 0-4 scoreline for us.

Shaw may play instead of Telles, but the former still needs rest between games right now and the latter needs games. As each has their pros and cons, they're still equal and Ole has a luxury there. I could also see Williams instead of AWB, but not likely. As I don't see SU as being that talented, this is a Mata game. He'll give us good control and decision making where pace isn't necessarily needed. VdB can go the whole game, but Pogba can relieve Bruno. James will come on for Greenwood, because Ole seldom, if ever, lets Mason go a full 90. McT replaces Fred because we need Fred every game.

Imperative to rest Bruno. Rashford, AWB too and it would be very Ole to select Hendo for sentiment, only to bench him on Sunday.

    ------------------Hendo--------------

    AWB - Lindelof - Mag - Telles
    ----------------- Matic ----------------
    -----------VBD ------- Pogba -----
    -----------------Bruno ------------------
    --Mata ---- Cavani ---- Rashford

I think this would be the best team to break down Wilder's team. They offer little to no attacking threat and are the most docile team in the league setting up heavily to defend. They aren't the same team as last season by any stretch and are certainties for relegation.

I reckon we will be saying the exact same thing again when the next chance presents itself. Something about Ole and this teams mentality is that they just aren't clutch in the most pivotal moments.

The league this season has been very inconsistent and I'm gathering that whoever wins the title will show a considerably lower standard compared to the bar that Liverpool / City have set more recently. We should be beating a team with 1 point out of 3 months worth of fixtures.

You know what would be nice?

A league game where we score like, 2 goals in the first half then score a third early in the second and the game is over without ever having to worry.

We haven't had a plain sailing league game since... Villa away last season?

A great opportunity to improve the goal difference but I just have the feeling we won’t. Leeds on Sunday and they will run us ragged. Maguire will be having nightmares about Leeds. I hope Ole puts out a strong if not the best side he can for at least an hour on Thursday night. SAF was guilty a few times of fielding an under strength team and losing. No fans at Sheffield and it’s not on TV so I can’t figure out why the fixtures are like this.

Surely we can't lose to them? Why are we even worried about this match?
