Most of us have said it is the injuries and lack of options on the bench that have done for us today and the problem might still be there on New Years Day, We need the injured players back and quick, even if they are just on the bench.
Agreed, but there is als a bunch that think it was an epic fail today. Anybody that has a clue weighs the things I listed. The rest just like to whinge.

Physio room says both will be available but I'm not sure how accurate it is. van Gaal will probably update us. I think us losing Blind for so long has hurt us more than anyone else.
I miss Blind too, but Carrick in his place has been sensational.

For me, the huge miss has been Di Maria. Young has filled in for him nicely, but there's a huge gulf in quality between an in form Young and an in form Di Maria.

For me it is pretty easy. I didn't expect us to make a serious challenge for the title this season and I'll be very surprised if our rivals drop so many points that we are able to really, really close the gap.
I look at the players we have brought in that should make a long term positive impact at the club (DDG,Blind, Rojo, Mata, Herrera, di Maria,Shaw), I look at at Falcao that might be a 2-3 year player. We are getting a little long in the tooth but if you want to win now that is probably the easiest way.
I look back to the start of the season where people were posting "we had a better record under Moyesey" and "we have to give up on this back three" and " What is LVG doing? Why is he playing Fellaini?"

Now I see we are on a 9 match unbeaten run and third in the table and still haven't been able to use the best players. I'd say we have a lot going on a lot to look forward to.

no arguments. I honestly thought he was done last season. so glad to see him come back as he has. wonderful footballer.

Di Maria being injured is so frustrating.

I think once we have these players back we will be so strong.

I loved how we played first half...bar the misses.

They had five shots on goal in the first half. Most of them great chances. Even in the second half (off the top of my head), Mata had a glorious chance inside twelve yards. I thought that they had created a lot against a good side away from home.

Who would you have brought in? Pereira? Fletcher? With Herrera, Blind, Di Maria, Fellaini, and Januzaj all injured, we didn't have a lot of options in midfield and attack.

Seems like criticism for criticism's sake.
We looked shattered after 60 minutes so I wouldn't have minded a change the formation a bit and perhaps give Shaw, Fletcher and Rafael start.

Injuries don't help but we've got another game in less than a week. Picking the same side was a big risk given the likelihood of injuries with two games in three days. Hopefully nobody has picked up a knock that keeps them out.

Wait an hour n half and I don't even need to explain it.

So we should still be talking about the tittle according to you?
    *cough*
The thing about statements like that above is that you've just had to spend the last hour n half with the bottom of your soul willing Chelsea to win.

    Well done though :D

I thought we played ok and could have dominated the game for 90min if we took out chances. Unfortunately our finishing totally let us down which is a bit odd considering we've been so clinical in the past games. The real problem today was that -we were very unlucky

Quite pleased with the away point from the Lane but on the other hand pretty effing disappointed as we could have scored 3 to 5 goals.
At first the subs felt frustrating but in hindsight they were reasonable.

Chelski and Southhampton drew, Man Chity Drew we Drew, West ham dropped points only winner for the top 4 spot today was Arsenal so us dropping 2 points is not as devastating as people make it out very good results for us.

Not sure I agree with unlucky. People thought Rooney, Mata and Carrick would be too lightweight. I thought they did well. We were better than Spurs for most of the game. Other results have gone in our favour.

Seeing the results of other matches of this weekend, Draw looks like a disappointing result for us. We dominated for 60 min and wheels came off for many players. We could have closed the gap to the second with a win.

Spurs didn't have the better of United until the 75th minute. We have to remember that the Spurs were a full strength side. They had no injuries. All in all United played well and would have won if their finishing hadn't been poor.

I think people should not hope too much for a title, just look at the result in respects to achieving the top four this year and it's not so bad, the title is a pipe dream really.

Thought Man Utd looked very good in first half and as a Spurs fan I could not have complained if you went into the break three up. Second half more even. Last 15 Spurs grew stronger.

Best first half from us away from home in a long time. Ref could have been better but we had ourself to blame. So many chances not taken but we've been lucky in many matches we were bound to come unstruck at some points. Still same points from Chelsea and Man City with arsenal closing in. If we are 5 points from the leaders by the 31 on jan we'll have a chance

Depends how you look at this.
If we won, we could be 8 behind chelski and 5 behind city

I hate every single Premier League ref.
I thought the same initially, coz every game I can remember I look at the referee before a ball has even been kicked and I'm thinking "Oh no, this one's dodgy".

However maybe Anthony Taylor? Neil Swarbrick? Phil Dowd ain't so bad. Neither of them are faultless but they are no Atkinson. Mike Dean, Clattenburg.

Clattenburg for some reason was doing my local boys Wycombe's game at Shrewsbury in league 2.
Top of the table clash, but odd to have him come down 3 division!

The first half was by far our best performance of the season - normally we would have scored a few goals and the match would have been over. We didn't - and it was kinda obvious that the fatigue would kick in after the break.

We still only gave Spurs 2-3 good chances in the entire game. We should have won - but the match was Another big step in the right direction. We are getting there.

Another pleasing display, frustrating not to win but we're either winning or should have won every game at the minute, which is definitely progress.

We were terrific first half and even though we eventually ran out of steam as the second half wore on, the Mata chance was still the best of the half.

You have to be a real petty man if you think I was not happy about Chelsea dropping points to "win an argument" if you can even call it that on an internet forum. I'm here because I support Manchester United and to give my views I couldn't care less about trying to show you or anyone else up.

Changes nothing anyway we are not in the tittle race imo as much as I wish and hope we were, we are supposed to be doing the chasing and catching, they are fine if they drop points and their "tittle contenders" also drop points, the teams chasing them though ,not so much.

    Your wrong !
We're in a title race, just call it experience if you like but..this has a certain inevitability about it.
    Sit tight.

I really dont understand how we went from all firing in first half to uber crap (in terms of attacking) in 2nd half.. I won't buy the argument that we went into the dug out at HT and somehow magically all the tiredness of 2 matches in 48 hours came on to us magically at the exact moment. I would understand if the players were tired after 20-30 mins into 2nd half..

I don't buy that the players were 'fatigued'. I played in a National tournament (yes it was amateur, the highest), but we played 5 games in 6 days, full matches. I know these fellas are highly tuned, but I thought the substitutes made buy Pottechino, were much better.

No matter how intense was your amateur tournament, no matter how destroyed you felt afterwards, there is no way you can compare it with what the pros do. Everyone was tired.
