The intent is there in the full back areas but Valencia is just quite useless offensively and slows everything down.And we switch back to the studio, where a bunch of bemused morons are having to explain against their will why United actually did quite well in that first half
The last ten minutes were absolutely spot on and I'll be seriously disappointed if we don't keep that up.
Pogba for 3-0 would've been perfect. 2-0 is good though, far too often over the past decade we've gone one up and sat back and ended up having to rescue a win from a 1-1 draw.Our play out the back is a bit slow at times, but this is nitpicking after such a good half.
Smaldini a beast again. Fellaini great in that deeper role. Pogba's distribution and late runs in the box are superb. Not a great save. Pogba all the times somehow manages to hit straight at the keeper. A little angled and it was impossible to save.What is that song when players enter on the pitch? Both goals were very good, very happy for Lukaku and Smalling. The last 15 minutes or so we played some really good football, that lead up to Pogba's save was beautiful.
Sanchez needs to kick on in the second half, he's the only player I felt who needs to improve for the second half.
P.S : During the summer, we were crying for a new LB. Suddenly, we seem to have great options for that position. Also, we've never seen as many one-two by us in one game before. I'm extremely surprised and happy watching this.It does seem like, for periods at least, we play a more offensive system with higher pressing. Only for periods mind but there is change underway I believe.We need to win 5-0, and we will be above Spurs, right?Who else is extremely happy we're making use of our giants on set pieces now. Its been grinding my gears that we've been so average at this despite having the size advantage.Nice to have Pogba as a goal scoring threat, many games last season where he just stayed too deep.
